It’s pretty clear that the darkness says “when drawn” but the grand archivist casts a spell from the deck, it doesn’t draw the spell from your deck then cast it.
Sorry but I don’t think this is a bug
Why would the candle spell have text at all then? Why even make it a spell if it does nothing when cast?
Because it never gets cast, in order to be cast by the player it would have to be in their hand, which the candle never is
It really just "feels" like that because they originally intended to just not do it because of how hard it is to do properly. They actually said that they wouldn't do it, but the community made them change their mind apparently.
I hear you, but that isnt how business works for a multi-million dollar company. It was a clear miss with back peddling. It was either missed entirely, which is a big oversight, or someone said 'it's too hard' which is not an excuse for a company like blizzard, especially since they can turn around the fix in less than 3 weeks of work.
Their project managers are sub-optimal. They should learn from WoW's dev and project teams. As insane as this sounds, it feels like a 'we forgot that' situation.

I'm pumped to get 1600 dust from Patches, and another 800 from Corridor.

I dont know how much you play this game, but these nerfs were needed.
Raza was too strong. 1 mana is still a big reduction. Now you have to play to kill in 2 turns, not one.
How is patches too late? Forgetting wild?
Bonemare will still see play. The buff is money.
Corridor forced decks to have early removal cards. They learned their lesson from Flamewreath Faceless.

These are the nerfs Gwent has been waiting for.

How is this comment only sitting at +5. Underrated comment.

With special quest card: Players must find Mankrik's wife by turn 7 or both lose.

I want to play the game these fan creations have made.

Less than 20 new cards in these decks. Guess that's what happens when you push releasing a bunch of xpacs and need filler cards.

I will agree with you. They need some writers that purposefully work as heels to keep people stirred up.
Or competitions for people to use certain cards and craft ranked decks that work to purposefully try to influence the meta.

Have to log into Battle.net and claim the gift. Then you can open on mobile clients.

Reminded me of the Spiritwalkers and Bloodmage ability in the WC3: TFT. Man I miss that game.
