    You play since when?

Few years ago token druid and pirate warrior kill the opponent in turn 4 very often, not in a GODLY starting hand, just a good starting hand.

Oh well i thought the same as you and wanted to agree...... but then i read he was talking about Battlegrounds :D

And yeah with the addition of Dragons the game got noticeably faster since the 5 mana Dragon (Razergore?) and Malygos are often the biggest minions who survive and deal way more damage than Mechs or Deamons biggest minions.

To be honest i dont play much BG since the last patch, it seems its all about who gets Maccaw first or some stupid Pirate synergy.

    Quote from hillandder >>

Don't need much, just one more good libram card is all the deck need to focus in libram/pure archetype.

Paladin now looks the class jack-of-all-trades but master of nothing, too much things to try but don't focus in anything.

That is said paladin need desesperately one good value hero card to be able fight the value game vs rogues and priests and a very good mass removal to be able to deal vs aggro and of course revert that stupid nerf in equality no one ask for.

My Paladin does actually pretty well against Priest (by punching them down in the late game). Also Viper mentioned that its not a good idea to fight Priests and Rogues with value ( when someone mentioned Archivist Elysiana ), since thats not what HS should be, or lets say endless value generators should be added very carefully, and is not asked by most players (20+ minute matches).

I agree on the aoe aspect however. Viper also mentioned when he played pure Paladin, how good a 3rd or 4th Consecration effect would be for that archetype.

Really? I mean i don’t want to be rude or anything, but these decks and the stats seem pretty questionable to me. 92% with Rogue from Platinum 3 to diamond 8.... is this even possible? And 100% with Murloc Paladin for 22 games in Legend seems also fishy ( pun intended) . To be fair JAlexander talked yesterday about how Paladin in the lower Legend ranks is shown with a decent winrate at 54% on HSreplay, but if you look for top 1000 Legend at Paladins winrate you find nothing, since it’s virtually not existent.

To be honest i would prefer an actual Rank rather than meaningless fantasy winrates.

Just good luck. The format doesn't matter. I've met cool and trash people in both formats

Actually there might be a correlation.

Wild = probably in game for much longer than a couple of sets = probably older than average people in Standard = probably more mature.

I mean, I know not every adult is mature, you can easily meet a grown up man raging over an online game. But considering this mere fact that to play wild you probably should have on average started playing the game much earlier than average Standard player, the average age and thus average maturity of Wild players may be higher.

There has also been speculation about that in other games and surprisingly often the opposite was the case.

Younger , inexperienced players were mostly the nicest guys around and always thankful for tips. Older people are mature, but also rage like nothing else. They know the game and what people do wrong, so they get more upset easily.

Just a couple days ago i was in a battle with my buddy in World of Tanks ( where the average age is more like mid 30 to 40s) , and two guys were yelling at each other for being a stupid kid. We smiled and said to each other that probably both of those guys were in their 50s :) .

Also has a lot to do with how much cash you throw down to get all the cards you need. There’s some very good F2P players out there that just lack the right cards...

so, it’s not just a skill thing.

Of course you also need cards , but if you have enough experience you can make it even with a homebrew deck to Legend atm .

Oldguardian always posts f2p deck wich u can get Legend with each expansion... Also the german streamer C4mlann made several new accounts and tried to hit Legend ( in the old system!) , as completely f2p from rank 50 and he made it after 4-6 days( or even faster sometimes).

But even then whiners came up with the argument, well he can do it because he is such a good player... like no s..t . Skill matters way more than money if your goal is simply to reach Legend.

posted a message on Hearthstone's MM is *NOT* rigged and is *NOT* keeping everyone at 50% win rate
    Quote from MikaelThas >>

Oh boy this has happened to me SO MANY times I always though it just me and my bad luck. Good (or bad?) thing I'm not the only one.

It's definitely rigged. It's not normal that when I'm just about to reach Rank 1 or Legend, boom! counter deck. Which is, most of the time, a humilliating defeat against Priest.

Another one thing that ALWAYS happens to me (not sure about you) is when you need a topdeck that never comes. There are 15 cards left (half the deck) and every single removal card is within that lower half, which means a defeat at turn 6-7. Once I search for an opponent again... there they are: 2 or 3 removals as starting hand.

Does this happen often to you? the card you needed the most is in the starting hand the next match, mockering at you? I bet I'm not the only one who have experienced this.

Haha, perfect example of a Tinfoil heads commentary.

They always use the same words, like SO many times to me... i always thought.... it’s definitiv fishy ( ofc with no date to back it up) ... things always happen to me( wich would actually be a nice thing to abuse)...I bet I’m not the only one ( to get more tinfoils into agreement with any sort of claims, since a critical mass of people must be correct) ....

And all this just to avoid stuff like, l believe, or I’ve got a feeling, etc. wich is basically the quintessential statement from what they actually wrote.

As SinAscendant said, if anything Blizzard would have interest in making better rng for new,or inexperienced players. But i never heard of a GM level player that his rng is always rigged against him/her...

Patience is the key. Don't think about your rank and that you are close to legend, but rather focus on each play you do, making absolutely sure you are putting yourself in the best position to win. When you are this close to legend, winning is much more important than playing many games, so take your time.

I would not change decks too much, everything is countered by something, and you WILL face counters as well as good matchups no matter what you do.

I know. I tried to stick with one but I was very frustated seeing that i was keep losing even with a T1 deck :(

If you struggling with a T1 deck, you certainly don’t always make optimal plays.

Maybe have a experienced friend spectate you, or even get some coaching. There is always room for improvement, even for GM players. And yeah as others already wrote, stick to one deck you enjoy playing over a longer period of time, and you will get better!

I was in the same spot last season, stuk in D5-D1 with whatever deck I tried until I finally reached legend. I read the advice to stick with one (tier1/2) deck and just focus on what the best play is every turn. After you play one deck for a couple of 2hr sessions you will see improvement and with enough games you will probably reach legend.

     Exactly this.

When i see people changing their decks over and over again to counter the meta... Than it’s no surprise they aren’t climbing.

They might be decent or good at every deck, but mastering one or two is what gets you upwards.

Yeah,I was in similar scenario.I also played like 1-2 hours a day.Eventually I gave up, because it was frustrating. You can´t do anything against bad luck.

This certainly doesn’t have anything to do with luck.

Good players get there no matter what rng they have that day. Obviously you can get unlucky, and that’s just normal but if you have an optimal decklist and the knowledge, getting to Legend is only a matter of time.

posted a message on Zephyrs The Great - Worst card in the history of the game (poll based on explanation not on title)

What a bad pile of crappie voting options. The only one that disagrees with the card itself also implies that there should be more of them... That’s suboptimal misleading, and manipulated.

This would be like I would ask if people think aggro decks are the worst archetype in the game and if they agree with me. .. And the only option to vote towards a positive agreement on an aggressive archetype would be:

Yes i want more aggro and i would welcome a 5 mana Pyroblast for Hunter.

    Quote from M0res >>

Show us your evidence then that it’s random...

we have linked the patent for matchmaking, they say nah that’s not proof, we have quoted statements from their forums from blizzard admins that they try to keep win rate at 50%, nah  that’s not enough... people play for years and notice a pattern, nah not enough, it’s random... oh and the earth is flat right?

They try to keep the winrate at 50% for casual mode. Ben Brode said that once " No matter how bad of a player you are , you will end up at 50% eventually, but this mm only applies to casual ".

As many people above me mentioned, the matchmaking isn’t rigged. Also there would literally be no upside keeping little Jimmy at a lower rank. As in dozens of threads before this has been talked about, and once people end up with no evidence and calling each other flat earthers, i wonder why mods don’t close those pointless threads.
