The thing is if aggro doesnt stay strong we will have some degenerate OTK stuff , wich already doesnt look hard to acomplish, and thats even more unfun/uninteractive than losing to aggro. Also buisness wise its not great to print new Legendarys, anti aggro tools , and than it all becomes useless because of one OTK or whatever unstoppable lategame stuff.
Thats why many ppl already said Priest is the worst class to be top tier , because some classes literally cant get an edge against it. If Priest is the best class , its generally speaking good vs aggro , and also by default good vs control. Only tempo decks can out tempo this.
Aggro or midrange being tier 1, gives basically every class a chance to counter that.
My dude, it's not even a 4 out of 4, it's a 5 out of 4. A 1 mana 1/4 weapon in Demon Hunter? With its hero power? And not only that, it has a completely broken effect as well?
It's getting nerfed within the first week for sure.
This card can also be not good in every situation. When you draw the 2 mana weapon on turn 2, or when you wanna play the Overseer Satyr , now you have to attack face for 1 or he attacks a minion aswell? not always great.
As main Pally with the most wins i can almost fully agree with you this time. The only card i woulda rated differently is Lord Barov . This is a pure Warrior card imo.
Hes basically only playble in idk a super aggro deck? And even there he is kinda weird since he weakens your board so much and then the opponent only has to kill a 3/2... Its not like you can combo him With Pyromancer or some Lackeys (hes great with the rush or 2 dmg Lackey), only Consecration, or your own minions. And aggro Paladin didnt really needed an Equallity effect . He seems very conditional for me and looks really good in Warrior , but Paladin just has better options imo.
Even in Libram Paladin i never felt i needed more Equallitys, it was mostly the activation for it , like Consecration , Pyro etc. Since those are cards that you sometimes have to use to stay alive earlyier.
He said: it's probably still going to be in aggro form ... , Not that you cant play it. My guess is also that some aggressive Paladin will still be okish, but not as good as other classes .
One thing is for sure tho, any lategame or Big Paldin stuff, just gets outvalued or OTKed by everything else.
No room for Lord Barov in a Libram Paladin I think, also two Libram of Justice should be enough. Seriously look at the deck list above and tell me what you would cut for Barov and why?
Lord Barov works better in an agressive deck like this one:
Why not include Imprisoned Sungill if you play a Seagiant deck? Hes good enough by himself imo. And why shield of honor? its not very likely you smal minions get damaged , id rather play an Angling Rod wich is super solid.
@SirRandsborg Thing is, at the moment it would be absolutely pointless giving Paladin anything else than strong aggro cards. To outcontrol classes like Priest Mage Rogue is impossible. To counter that they would have to give us some kind of otk (Wich Druid and Mage got this expansion).
But i was asking for years to remove the secrets and give Paladin finally another aoe... but everytime i mentioned this someone on reddit replyed with; Dude, a class shouldnt have everything.... (looking at Shaman,Warrior etc , and actually Highlander decks since Zephyris offers everything).
Maybe thats Blizzards design philosopy about Paladin aswell. They should have okish minions , but only draw fair, while other classes can cheese out way more value with cardcombinations. But like that MTG guy said, if you make a classes strength drawing cards you made the classes strength, winning.
Not sure how good Argent Braggart and Devout Pupil work in this deck. The Argent can obviously be very strong but i doubt we see a meta of fattys, looks more like OTK and lots of aggro to me. And Devout Pupil, idk, but a 4/5 divineshielded guy doesnt seem to knock ppl out of their shoes nowadays.
This might be an unpopular opinion but i doubt this card will be so metabreaking as some ppl think it would be (i heard some call it always a 2 mana BolderfistOgre etc..) In my opinion the meta will be so fast or combo oriented that noone will ever play some kind of "Fatty" just for the stats. Instead of holding a 2mana card for the right time, wich Paladin has problems with anyway since theres not much carddraw for them, you could actively play a Shotbot or whatever.
I guess its not overwhelming against aggro or Combo decks, wich both look like the dominant archetypes so far.
Thats what most ppl overlook. The watch HSreplays stats and think Paladin is good.....
While infact Paladin wasnt that bad before the nerfs aswell.... at below 1k Legend and anything outside of it. Same now, i saw a beginner streaming with pally and he was wrecking through the lower ranks like nothing despite huge misplays. But oh how he will get recked like no tomorrow when he reaches decent skilled players.
Because a "8 mana 3/9 kill a minion" is ok , but not sure if it deserves the legendary tag. And certainly a bit underwhelming if you think about what other classes can do lategame.

I hope so. I dont wanna get all my minions stolen by Priest.

No, if hes dead hes dead.
He needed to survive the brawl there since spellburst only activates after the spell.
