I think Chewmass made some very good points. Don't let the other posters discourage you. I played a Control Warlock from rank 15 to 10 this season and I did not include Voidlord. Stonehill Defender is a very good replacement because you can often discover it. If you have the Warlock Skull weapon or Krul, you can still cheat it out early.
I actually really like Elder Scrolls and switched playing it as my main game from Hearthstone during the Un'Goro meta. What everyone says here is true. Elder Scrolls has an infinitely better ladder system and more deck diversity. But, it does have less charm and HS interface will always be top-knotch. Ultimately I stopped playing and came back to HS fulltime because it was too hard to build so many legendaries. Unlike HS, you can have 3 copies of legendaries in your 50-card sized deck. It didn't feel like I was getting anywhere in terms of my collection building as a result.
MSOG and Karazhan metas will always be the most toxic. So, yes, I agree that it was the worst designed expansion. OP's first two points are true, but as others have pointed out, in no way can Raza be put in the same category as the others. Raza saw almost no play in MSOG, and actually zero play during the Un'Goro meta. Highlander Mage and Warlock were never unbalanced.
The Raza/DK/Velen combo is unbalanced, but all of those cards in isolation are fine.
I actually think Rin does have potential. I picked up her from a Stonehill Defender in a game versus a Control Warrior and she absolutely wrecked him. Not only did she produce a demon each turn for him to deal with, I was able to blow up his Dead Man's Handcombo that he kept shuffling in his deck to avoid fatigue. I wonder if including Stonehill, and using Rin situationally, is better than actually including Rin in the deck.
And no, I don't think she needs Bloodbloom to work. She's a Control v. Control win condition. Just keep making demons while Priests and Warriors heal themselves.

I opened around 50 packs as well and got 3 Level Up and 3 of the armor AoE Warrior epics. Lots of repeated rares, too, but that is to be somewhat more expected. I did wonder if it was maybe a bug like when Mean Streets was released but this is the first thread I've seen about it.
Druid: Will continue to be a Tier 1 class with Jade and Big dominating. Hunter: People will experiment with deathrattle Hunter but it will ultimately stay out of the meta. Mage: Secret/Tempo Mage will see increased play. Paladin: Largely absent from the meta, with both buff Paladin and dude Paladin failing. Priest: Will continue to be a Tier 1 class, with Big Priest and Razakus, perhaps with a dragon build. Rogue: Will continue to be a Tier 1 class, with Tempo being its main model. Miracle Rogue will get a slight boost. Quest Rogue will be experimented with but ultimately fail. Shaman: Largely absent from the meta, although elemental shaman and evolve shaman will see fringe play. Warrior: Largely absent from the meta. Warlock: Zoo and Control will both see more popular play. Midrange Demon Warlock will be one of the few true midrange decks in the meta.
My guess is we will see Priest/Druid/Rogue at most tournaments, with a Warlock variant and Mage largely filling in the fourth slot.
You could be right OP. I think this card is going to have to buff an existing deck rather than create an entirely new one. Buffing it with existing pirates that already have synergy with Tempo Rogue might be the way to go rather than devoting so much of the deck to it. Both this and Uther are great cards, but they don't have great decks to go with them. The analogy makes sense to me.
Right now the classes to beat are Rogue, Druid, and Priest. Does this beat Rogue? Yes, provided they haven't killed you yet. Does this defeat Druid? No. Spreading Plague completely shuts you out of the finisher. Does this defeat Priest? No. If this deck ever became close to viable, Priests would save their DK for this moment and they also run Psychic Scream which not only clears your board, but makes your deck terrible.
I would love a Big/Dragon archetype of Mage to work, but it has zero chance until Druid and Priest become less dominant.
Deathrattle decks always struggle against aggro and tempo because of the poor stats on deathrattle minions. I don't think this spellstone would necessarily help compensate for that, as Zoolock and TempoRogue can pretty easily refill their board. Not sure if this is enough to make deathrattle rogue a thing, but provides some tools for the future I suppose.

No cards are safe to craft yet.

Excellent combo potential with Tundra Rhino.
