posted a message on Reckless Experimenter Nerf Coming June 3

If you're doing stealthed mech, you now need 5 cards. So essentially you have 5 dead cards in your deck (sure you could play them in some matchups but if it's your win condition you wouldn't). Drawing all 5 cards at once, then hoping your 4 health stealth minion survives until the next round, and then hoping they don't have a taunt or Ice Block to counter it is not a reasonable game plan, particularly in wild where there are Voidlords, Obsidian Statues, and secret mages all over the place. There is little to no chance that this combo sees play in any competitive wild deck.

Hmm let's see... 7 mana combo that requires four cards, two of which are the same card AND restricted to wild where power levels are bonkers vs. 5 mana combo that requires three cards and is in standard. Completely different. Glinda was 9 mana but only required one Mechwarper yet it wasn't that commonly used. This was a very good nerf and exactly what was needed.

Hench-Clan Thug isn't in this deck? Also only one Southsea Captain?

I agree. Prismatic lens allows you to have a decent T5 (or T4 with coin) and you often have to battle bigs against other bigs to see who wins in the end.

posted a message on How to guarantee Sn1p Sn4p will be fine without any nerf or change to the card...

The issue with this is that Skaterbot gives half the damage increase SN1P-SN4P gives meaning you would only need half the plays. I've played the Glinda/Zill combo several times and have managed to easily get over 20 mechs played in the time given. With 90 second turns, the animation would have to be 6 seconds (that's really long) to prevent an OTK, and even then I'm pretty sure you can play another one while the animation is finishing and essentially queue up a couple.

I'd love to know where you're getting a T5 Nozdormu from.

The chance of your first bot dying is lower than the chance of pulling out the second bot with your first one's ability. I have yet to have a bot killed in 13 games. Not saying it can't happen but even if you did have the other one in hand just in case, that means you were risking the chance of a useless turn while the bots cycled.

God forbid we put priest back into competitive ladder

Nobody is saying priest shouldn't be competitive. We're saying priest shouldn't be competitive merely due to a broken combo that wins the game on T5. Look at the hate Barnes gets in wild. Releasing this unnerfed is a terrible idea.

I really appreciate the thought put into this deck as it absolutely annihilates other decks. That being said, there's no reason you should be running double Doomsayer, Alarm-o-bot and Faceless Manipulator. You're already drawing these on the turn you want them so accidentally getting another copied pulled with your bot is very harmful to your gameplay.

Just because a combo will technically exist doesn't mean it will actually be used by most players. I still remember all of the "Nerf Mechwarper" or "Nerf Ziliax" posts before Ziliax released because of the technical 'infinite'-esque value combos or OTK combos. Ziliax came out and only a very small amount of meme decks ever did any of that in either format.

There's a difference between a 9 mana combo that requires three separate cards, two of which are legendaries, and is only accessible in wild and a 5 mana combo that requires two cards, only one of which is a legendary, and is in standard. I get that only a small number of decks actually used the Zilliax combo but this is FAR more accessible. Plus priest has a deathrattle tutor in the two drop mech Dead Ringer which allows you to get Sn1p-Sn4p while the Glinda combo just relied on sheer luck in draw. The card is just flat out good as is and priest has enough cards that could allow it to mess around with a mech deck using this as a finisher.

This is one of the first card that I didn't immediately dust upon being nerfed. It still provides extra value in later games so I can't imagine it being cut from lists.

Yeah i got a bad feeling about this.... Priest will have a OTK by turn 6 I feel.

You meant turn 5. Also, you cabt leave ANY mech up versus priest from now on starting turn 5 / 4 on the coin. Think about the 0/9 steambot. Better kill it turn 4.

I don't know. Feels busted to me. 2 card infinite damage combo with little setup for 5 mana, feels kinda like an oversight to me.

I agree. Warlock has a similar one but it's on T9 at the earliest and requires three different cards: Glinda --> Mechwarper x5 --> Zilliax's for days. That's far more fair.

The combo with Cottontail is completely unnecessary (although it's nice). People will just flat out use it on any mechs they can find and it's much easier to just throw down a ton of mechs (the 3 microbot deathrattle minion is a good one here) as you could use one of the other mechs to clear a taunt.

posted a message on ROGUES ARE GETTING NERFED! 4 Card Changes Coming May 22

My major complaint. My friend texts me that nerfs are out. I excitedly open Hearthpwn to find out that Blizz trashed my favourite class (no I don't play tempo rogue, I play thief rogue in wild) and decided that they're okay with letting Barnes continue to ruin everyone's wild experience. They have plenty of data showing that people hate the card. Win rate doesn't matter, just like it didn't when they first nerfed rogue quest. It's about it being unfun to play against.

posted a message on ROGUES ARE GETTING NERFED! 4 Card Changes Coming May 22

Blizzard has balanced every 3+ mana rogue spell around the existence of Preparation. Now these all have been seriously nerfed. Such a terrible idea. They claim that Prep was used universally in all rogue decks. Are they really that surprised when they make garbage like Wanted? This was such a moronic decision. Instead they should have nerfed all the cards used exclusively in the tempo rogue deck and left prep alone.

We don't need a thread for that, plus, I don't want to see grammar mistakes whenever someone posts a lucky moment.

If you are going to complain about grammar then make sure you at least place a period or semi-colon after “that”. Incorrect comma usage is a little ironic from someone berating another person for their grammar.
