It's not quite Shielded Minibot, but it's close and I'll take it.

I only made this deck because I had the cards. Paladin is in a BAD place right now as a class - sitting at the very bottom of the Viscous Syndicate Data Reaper list.

I think the value of Bronze Herald is assuring you have enough dragons for synergy. Pull it and you're down to just six. With it, you have nine. Dragonrider Talritha is one of those cards that's tempting because it SEEMS powerful, but honestly it's just too slow.

I've not made any changed to the deck yet but I've been tempted to pull Scalerider for Sandbinder in order to assure I get Zephrys the Great or Siamat more often.

I know there are paladin decks out there with higher aggregate winning percentages than this one (mech, pure, holy wrath) but none are as much fun to play. Highlander pally is like a little puzzle you have to figure out each game depending on what you can do with the cards you have in hand, which is just more fun to me than a deck that works the same way every time.

A guide would be nice, too. I mostly play paladin and am pretty new to playing warrior.

I just read that the nerfs are going to be delayed for a day. No reason why was given.

Brazen Zealot is a card I have a difficult time keeping on the board without another minion to buff its health. Even with its synergy with Sky Claw it never seems to stick around long enough to be of any use. So I pulled both copies in favor of Bronze Explorer which helps both with health (a little) and more consistent card draw. Yes, it's 3 mana instead of 1 but you get SO much value for that 3 mana (Lifesteal, a dragon and a 2/3 body on the board) that I find it's worth it.

Surprisingly well. I was underwhelmed by this card at first glance, too, but it's an annoyance your opponent has to deal with every round or, BOOM, 3/6 taunt. If you can play it off The Coin it gets you off to a strong start.

No 1-drops makes this a slower, inferior version to the other Pure Pally deck out there.

I think the pure paladin deck has some legs as an effective rush deck that can keep itself fueled for longer than most rush decks. But if this isn't a paladin deck you want to run, you may have hit a snag. 

Weirdly enough, I thought we were going to get big paladin as a thing this time round after nozdormu was announced, but instead it seems to be slotting in as a big late game tempo card for a more aggro styled deck. Most decks have a bit of problems dealing with a turn 8 double nozdormu if you generate 1 off of crusader turn 7. Just hope galakrond shaman hasn't done all it's set up by that point.

 I've been doing okay with Pure Pally. Despite its random nature, Lightforged Crusader is a surprisingly strong card.

It's very playable right now. No one would argue that paladin is in a great spot at the moment, but I'm having a fair degree of success with this deck. More than I would have expected.

For the second expansion in a row I sprung for the 100-pack set and ended up with not one legendary card I actually wanted/needed. And before someone makes the point - yes, I know that's what mana is for.

But I feel like, for $80, which is not cheap, in addition to the 100 packs of cards I should be able to choose ONE card that I want. Just one. That seems fair for the price and should be included in the $80 set. Just my opinion.

I think (I could be wrong) that the feeling at Blizzard is that paladin has the strongest hero power. So, often, our class cards are underwhelming. This seems to especially be the case with DoD. Most classes got INSANE cards. Paladin got a steaming hot cup of jack squat.

Paladin has always been the class I've played the most. And I'll make something work this expansion like I always do (or someone smarter than me will come up with an inventive deck). But it may be time for me to develop a SECOND favorite class.
