    Hey, one little question...

Will we need to do four bosses in the two final wings?

I know it won't be applied until later rounds, but I'd like to know it in order to plan my wings better.

So painfull amount to read... Anyway From my ount of view Wailor again best one of all, as his work looks very interesting, themed with wings and on the same time balanced. (+want add silence and copy his enchantment doesn't work same way as copy his enchantment and silence)

Second would probably go to WhatTheHack, which maybe don't have very interesting idea, but it is nicely balanced and ok themed.

Third to Klipco, as it maybe don't have something oustanding, but don't have something disruptive or inbalanced either,

You're absolutely right, Kirrik should've been written the other way around

Great job, Farts! If editing one of this is tough I can't imagine what it's like with eight at the same time.

I want to point up a couple things about my adventure, however: you called my first boss Slithering Ooze, and you kept the flavor texts from Step into Darkness.

Can I edit one of my cards? Given Skettis Wildkeeper had a poor reception, I'm thinking of changing her a little bit while maintaining her identity as a high Health 2 drop.

Something like 2 mana 2/3, Battlecry: gain +2 Health if you went second.

I don't know if you are allowed to do that but while I would advise a change, I don't think your solution is the best because it relies on a condition that can't be worked toward or against by players. You should consider other solutions, such as 1. A drawback like with Flame Imp ; 2. A very unbalanced statline, maybe 2 Mana 1/5 is what you're looking for but then again a vanilla minion isn't that exciting ; 3. Self damage like with Injured Blademaster. You can of course mix and match these ideas to make the card more complexe if ou want to.

Options 2 and 3 have already been done (Upgradeable Framebot, Injured Tol'vir), so I'm not repeating them. I might try a drawback like you suggested or a condition that is quite generic but over which you have more control (like being the only minion on the board? Dunno)

     Feedback time!

    Klipce's Emerald Dreams and Nightmares

    About the theme:

    • I like that your expansion is set in the Emerald Dream, I think it's a pretty unique location that hasn't been explored very much in Hearthstone.
    • The theme of your first wing seems a bit "generic", when Adventure wings tend to have unique personality. In Naxx, for instance, you had a wing for spiders, another for rotten dudes, another one for mad science and another one for Death Knights.

About Phantasm: I think the keyword has potential, but we've yet to see a card that can use it to its full extent. If you use it on legendaries, it should be in some really clever way, since otherwise it would simply be a glorified Common/Rare/Epic.

    About your bosses:

    • I like how Dreaming Adventurer combines Enrage and Weapon Warrior. Really fitting.
    • I think Shadows in the Mist's HP is a bit redundant with the fact that most of their minions have Stealth already. I'd try with something synergistic with Stealth, instead.
    • I'd add a Jade Idol to Sylendra's deck, just to make her completly immune to Fatigue. I might also add some Rogue cards like Shadowstep to the mix. A cool thing about Adventure bosses is that they can have cross-class cards.

About your cards: Not much to add here, since they're quite interesting and balanced. Sylendra's text should say "Shuffle" instead of "Add", though.

    Granduroi's Celestial Coup d'Etat

About the theme: It's not related to Warcraft lore, but it's interesting. Celestial stuff isn't featured much in the game.

About Fly: It's strategic and flavourful, but it's not very shiny. Maybe you could justify it by saying it's going to be an evergreen keyword, in the same vein as Rush, Lifesteal or Discover.

    About your bosses:

    • Thibalt's HP seems oriented towards a Zoo Dragon deck, so you should probably remove stuff like Chillmaw or Emberscale Drake and add Dragonrider Talritha or Brightwing.
    • Darian Holdor seems really hard at the start of the adventure, since you still don't have many Fly minions. I'd reduce the Health of the Entrance of the City, or maybe even remove them completely (except in Heroic, maybe?)
    • Lil Goudon is cool. I like her.

    About your cards:

    • I like Befriend the Beast. Such a cute flavour (albeit very frustrating to play against, probably).
    • Why does Flight Instructor have an Angel tag? I think introducing Fly as a keyword is enough, adding a tribal tag to the mix seems a bit overkill.
    • I find it strange that Thibalt is the first boss, but he's the wing reward. Wing rewards tend to be the last boss of the wing.

    About spelling:

    • Feed the Littles should be called "Feed the Little Ones"
    • Befriend the Beast should read "[...] minion that costs 4 or less Mana."
    • Restricted Entry is missing the "Hero Power" text line. Plus, it should say "Summon a 0/3 Barricade with Taunt."
    • Taste of the Void should read "Each player discards a random card." Player doesn't have capital P and discard is third person, so it has an S at the end.

     MrBurger's Step Into Darkness

About the theme: It's quite reminiscent of Kobolds and Catacombs, but it's okay. I mean, we've had Naxx/KFT and GvG/BDP, so it's not a problem. About the frog dudes, it's also okay. I recall Tortollans were a Hearthstone invention, too, so there's a precedent. Overall, it doesn't have a very unique personality, but it's going to tell a pretty interesting story, it seems.

About Wispers: I think it's the highlight of the expansion. It opens a massive design space and fits the expansion theme very well.

    About your bosses:

    • Even if the Ooze doesn't have a defined strategy, I like how its deck looks like. Hero Power makes the fight interesting, too.
    • Slithius' HP isn't enough to picture how will his fight be without knowing its deck.
    • Leonora, though, is very obviously going to be annoying. In the good way :)

About your cards: I don't have much to say here. They all look pretty good.

     whatTheHeck's Treasures of VanCleef

About the theme: Pirates is a tribe that doesn't get much attention, and having an Adventure revolving around them seems quite fitting. Your first wing has the same problem as Klipce's: it lacks a distinct personality inside the Adventure as a whole.

About Burst: As with MrBurger, your keyword is the best thing of your set. It has a very broad design space, I'm quite intrigued with it, to be honest.

    About your bosses:

    • I'd need to see the decks to have a more solid opinion, but Ironpatch and Patches seem kinda similar. Both focus around swarm decks, don't they?
    • The Dreadwake seems too complicated.

About your cards: Resourceful Hook looks a bit overly complicated. Rest of the cards are fine. Bloodsail Opportunist is very interesting, IMO.

About spelling: Bloodsail's text should capitalize "Attack". That's it.

    is this update already live?

It certainly wasn't last night, as I was disappointed to learn after buying a Selfless Hero for the first time ever.

First time ever? She was already really good for Rivendare builds. I find it strange that you never bought her.

Okay, I have a few updates of my reward cards.

First of all, I am thinking to change my watermark from Alliance to Portal. I mean, the expansion is about the Alliance invading Draenor, but the later is far more important and it's kinda represented by the Portal logo, so there goes that.

Second and most important, I made changes over two cards that some people found OP: Hunting Pack and Overgrowth.

The Hunting Pack change is quite simple: I just bumped the cost from 1 to 2. I think 2 is too weak, because it requires a lot of setup, but who knows.

About Overgrowth, it kinda changed the design philosophy of the card (and also changed the artwork).  I cannot decide how big to make it, though.

Do you like the changes? Which version of Overgrowth do you prefer?

PS: I'm planning to give feedback to everyone, either tonight or tomorrow in the afternoon.

I think Shudderwock just netted himself into Tier 1, possibly spot one in tier 1, and even possibly tier X. Edwins hero power on average is +3/+3 or +4/4 for 1 mana(upside he can boost non tribal minions like baron). Shudderwocks is now +4/4 and up to +4/4x6 (taunt compositions, murloc compositions) There was a reason his hero power costed 2. It'll be funny if pogo has to be moved up a tier or out completely when only one hero can abuse them.

Shudderwock isn't +4/+4, he's +2/+2. The extra +2/+2 comes from the minion by default.

Isn't patches just a worse Ragnaros? I'm confused, someone enlighten me please.

His HP is 1 mana, Rag's is 2.

Spending 1 mana every turn is feasible in the late game, spending 2 might be not.

Still, Nef is basically a better version of both of them.

Here's my first sketch. Any feedback would be welcome, either regarding balance, flavor or theme.

My biggest concern right now is that I don't have unifying mechanics, in the same way Naxx had Deathrattles and BRM had Dragons. But LoE didn't have, either, so I guess it's not such a big deal.

A reverse invasion of Dreanor sounds interesting but you might want to consider a few points :

    1. Orcs are mostly framed as "bad guys", brutals and corrupted, during their invasion of Azeroth while Humans are shown as "good guys", noble and peacefull, defending their home. If you flip the rolls around but keep humans as protagonists and orcs as antagonists, you're saying something very different about wars and invasions.
    2. It sounds to me like your main goal is to showcase Dreanor and the races that inhabit it. If I'm right, you might want to consider other story types that would archive the same goal. Maybe a trip to Draenor, maybe some kind of feast that would unite everyone, idk... Basically make sure a war is really the story you want to tell.
    3. If you really want to make an alternate version of warcraft's lore, you should think about which characters you want to use and in which ways they would be different.
    4. Including demons in the mix might be too much. This competition will have you make a total of 12 to 15 bosses and a maximum of 45 cards which you will have to divide wisely between all the themes of your adventure. Maybe it's best if you focus on you main ideas.

I've been thinking about your first point, and I think the best solution is to have a jerk Human character as the Adventure guide. I have only played WC3, so my initial candidate was Lord Garithos, but he didn't fight in the First War. Can you guys tell me if there was a jerkish Human character in WC1? Other than Medivh, I mean.

    Quote from Klipce >>

Thanks for the great feedback ! Here are the cards I think I'll showcase, reworked/rebalanced cards and cards for futur wings that I started working on. I'll also edit the typo in the Dreaming Adventurer's hero power. Nightmare(s) is(are) indeed the Dream Card Nightmare.

    Showcase cards:

This is the lineup I think I'll use for this wing. Knightmare is a solid exemple of a Phantasm card, simple and to the point. Also puns. Power Fantasy is my favorite design of the wing and it's got excellent flavor. Sylendra balances the set nicely, showing that the Emerald Dream and th Dream Cards associated the it are also a big part of this story. This wing starts with Mid/Late game cards but I think the next one will be more aggressive so it's fine.

    Reworked/rebalanced cards:

I tried to push the two forms of Druid of the Nightmare apart as much as possible while balancing them a bit better. Sylendra is now more balanced but also good against Fatigue which has good flavor and isn't seen too often in Hearthstone. I'll make sure to include Dream Cards tokens in my submissions but I don't want to put too much in this post. I flip Shade Chaser around completly and I think it's for the best. "Can't attack" is probably the most elegant way to tie game mecanics to the flavor of Power Fantasy. It might seem a little overcosted considering Ancient Watcher but since it's much more flexible i think it's actualy on the strong side.

    Futur cards:

Not much to say about those, I'm mostly trying to brainstorm as many ideas as possible. I'd like to give each class a card with Phantasm to really showcase the keyword. I'm growing a little concerned that I don't have many ideas for Mage and Paladin tho...

So yeah I'm quite happy with my work so far, I'll probably post near the end of the week. Until then tell me what you think of my nonsense.

Some unrelated comments about your cards:

    • I like that you fight against a corrupted Sylendra to cleanese her, and then get her "good" form.
    • Power Fantasy is very interesting, as you can use it as a buff or as some sort of removal.
    • Corrupted Harpy needs a buff. Her counterpart Windfury Harpy was already really weak, and I think this one is even worse. Powercreep over bad cards is okay, so it could easily be a 5/4/5 or a 6/5/5.
    • Don't like Lord Xavious' effect. Can end games right away if you have something on the board and your hand isn't almost empty.

Okay, sorry for the double post, but I have come up with an idea.

What if, instead of Orcs invading Azeroth, Humans invaded Draenor? In this scenario, you'd have to help Anduin Lothar to fight several races living in Draenor in order to conquer this planet.

However, I'm not sure which of the following approaches I should follow:

    • The Humans are the ones corrupted by the Demons (and not the Orcs).
    • Neither the Orcs or Humans are corrupted by Demons. Maybe Demons could be the last wing, but they're still a minor force in Draenor, which is still a healthy world.
    • Demons have already corrupted Orcs (or at least a faction of them) and Draenor is alredy the desolated wasteland we all know and love.

I find the first scenario very interesting, but it means several iconic races (such as the Broken Ones) won't make any sense at all. Plus, a non-desolated Draenor doesn't look like Draenor.
