What is the difference between clicking the concede and the skip button? there's no real need for this.

pretty weak nerfs. Looks like rogue is getting hit quite a bit. Lunacy is basically the same deck. Paladin also. shame it took so long to just change the mana costs.

posted a message on Are people afraid to play something other then meta?

If you're playing ranked, what did you really expect? people playing ranked 'usually' play to win and to win, they play the current top decks.

if you're playing casual, then you're probably playing vs someone practising a meta deck or just someone that has ranked anxiety. Also, some new players probably just net-decked the current top deck and used all their dust on it.

posted a message on useless cards

Dusting legendaries are a pretty bad idea, you only gain 400 dust which is probably like a week's worth of grinding. But in this case, Xavius and Illidan Stormrage aren't great and have never (to my knowledge) been meta. However, there's a chance the devs might change the cards into something new.

If you're desperate for the dust and don't plan on playing classic or wild, then it should be fine.

Tickatus prevents you from playing fatigue decks, so long as your deck has more than one way of closing out games, and by closing, I mean killing the opponent, control warlock is fine. It's an anti-control deck and it's a good thing for decks like this to exist.

Control is already weak in the metagame and has been since AoO, if not earlier - why does there need to be a card that just beats control decks when so much of the last year's aggro/tempo tools already make it hard enough for control? Particularly when that card makes control warlock worse against all the non-control decks in the meta? It just doesn't make any sense.

The state of the metagame is a different story. But I agree, control has been on the weaker side and it doesn't help that they refuse to print any late-game bombs for priest (I would love to see the return of Archbishop Benedictus) and have taken away all the good armor gain for warrior, to the point where OTK decks are able to kill warriors.

At the end of the day, it's up to blizzard to make control good but for the majority of the player base, control is just too slow and uninteresting.

I think with the nerfs to mage and paladin, control priest has a good chance of being a high tier 2 deck (so long as aggro decks return)

There's a lot of potential in all the prime cards, so I wouldn't dust any of them. Dusting legendaries that aren't completely useless; like gruel or hogger etc, isn't a good idea as the dust return is only 400 if you wait about a week and get a pack a day you'll get the dust anyway.

posted a message on Is Al'ar underrated?

you can't really compare Al'ar and Pheonix outside them having similar effects. In magic, the defender dictates the trades and so the opponent can choose whether or not to trade the Pheonix and even when it is traded the second half requires an instant spell (or another effect) to deal with it. Moreover, Al'ar doesn't even have any sort of evasion, unlike Pheonix's flying. Once you play Al'ar the opponent has full control on whether to deal with it or not. Al'ar will pretty much always be an underwhelming card and not a card you'd want to willingly put in your deck.

I think evocation is a little overrated - sure you can complete the quest with it, but you not only need a relativity large hand space but also have the mana available to play the cards. There is also no guarantee that you'll get all low-cost spell to combo with. Also, quest mage really have that hard of time completing the quest. I see evocation as more of a card for secret mage. But I stand to be corrected.

posted a message on There is some advice to get legend?

Pick a relatively good deck, that has a good matchup spread. And learn it's matchups, mulligans and power plays for the deck. Consistency is all you need to hit legend. Once you understand matchups and understand the playstyle you like to play, you can start teching you deck to beating the pocket meta you are in. I wouldn't recommend playing multiple decks until you feel like you understand the meta and become very proficient at the decks you want to play. The biggest difference between legend and rank 5 players is the number of mistakes they make in a game.

Finally, take your time. You have an entire month to hit legend. Don't play on tilt and take breaks. Good luck.

posted a message on AoO TheoryCraft Highlander Galakrond Warrior

Possibly, I kind of wanted the deck to be a midrange - jack of all trades deck. Bulwark is more suited for a control deck though. I might remove the galakrond package and put in elysiana and more removal. I will try this deck out when I get legend.
