posted a message on Re-roll weekly 2500 xp quest

How do you know? I was going to ask the same question, and I figured it probably is not possible. But if it is, I like to know.

Anyone else seen any info on this from Blizz themselves?

Thanks for list and writeup! This is a lot of fun. Farming secret mages is super satisfying, there are so many at "high diamond" (EU). Like you said, reno priest is really tough, but AC can get them which is something.

posted a message on 10g/3 Wins should be 10g/game

I think it would be much smarter to add something else, than to make getting gold easier. I do think 10g/3 games is very little, to the point where I barely care about it, and I don´t think it gives a lot of incentive to play. But I also think they could gove you much better incentives to play than to give you a bit of gold. Like giving you some kind of mid term (so not long term, but not immidiate), maybe make more events like "Hunter week! This week, win 10 games with hunter on ladder to earn 2 packs!" or whatever, something else than just playing and winning games. Maybe this last thing wouldn´t be the best idea, but it´s not my job so. But yeah If it was my job, I would try to make people more engaged in the game on some other metric than gathering cards for their collection, but that still rewards you a little bit to that end.

posted a message on [62% WR] RENO DRAGON DRUID

Pretty sweet! I especially like the looks of Twilight Drake in your build, gonna try it.

When I fooled around with reno druid, I tried Twig (the legendary weapon) and found it to be pretty good, just as a tempo play at some point to drop some fatties against secret mage and what not.

I also have liked the sidequest that gives you 3 claws. It is just a fine early game play, not super fantastic or anything, but you attack twice, gain some cheap spells, do some attacks, gain some armor.

There is also a really fun infinite combo with twig + elise + floop. Turn 9 (or whenever you have 9 mana), play Elise, duplicating Floop + twig. Play twig. Next turn, play Floop (Elise), duplicating twig and floop. Play twig, destroying old twig and giving you 10 mana. You have 6 mana, of which you need 4 to play Floop again, copying twig and floop again. So for every iteration, you have 2 mana to do something. For example, activate your hero poweror play a claw from the sidequest. This is really situational, and doesn´t work if you have random expensive cards to the left of floop+twig (Elise copies the cards on the left first). But if you pull it off for the win you get an achievment unlocked. :-)

Inner Fire I think makes perfect sense. The actual combo card shouldn't be in the classic set. Classic can have support and enablers and stuff. Maybe Malygos, but it is kind of more an enabler of combo. And it is nice for new players to have a goal to collect these cool dragons in the classic set.

Stonetusk boar also makes sense, because it is very basic but with a mechanic that is not supported. So it is just awkward for new players. They are surely considering replacing all cards with charge. They can give aggro other tools for finishing the game if they don't like the mechanic.

Very nice deck and solid guide, thank you.

Mulliganing away quest against rogue is interesting. You are expecting them to be aggro, I assume. If you face shaman, for example, and know the player is on murlocs, do you also toss the quest? That is, you mulligan it away if you know opponent is aggro?

Hey, thanks for the list and this archetype is sweet. :) Lots of card choices I don't quite get, but if they work for you just go get em I suppose.Seems like some matchups you just concede, like handbuff paladin. Or how do you beat them?

posted a message on Would you want the option to TRADE cards??

Was going to point to that quote as well, but Hassenfuss did all the work, thanks. :)

I´d like to add that it is easy to just think of the pros with something, but not the cons. I think one thing with only allowing trades with "the bank" (that is, dusting = trading with blizzard) is that it is a lot more casual friendly than allowing player to player trades. Dust is kind of money, but it also kind of isn't. As soon as something is tradeable between people, it is just money, and you are suddenly at the mercy of all the savvy traders/investors who will grind that value. And all you wanted was to play with some fun cards, woops.

posted a message on Cards should not discover themselves

It is a very valid thing to discuss if something like this should be "part of the game".

I kind of like it usually. It creates interesting corner case scenarios, some which are just high rolls. High rolls are fun if they are not very likely. Sometimes you can make plays that are only ways to win based on getting an extra spell. Things like that actually reward good play because many players won´t consider that possibility.

All of this said, there is maybe a sweet spot when a card is too likely to discover itself. It shouldn´t happen that often, I agree (which is almost never the case anyway). I guess if the discover pool is very small it can start being a bit awkward. But then you could say that the discover mechanic works best when there is a fairly large pool to choose from.
