posted a message on Rewards Track Client Patch - Updated With Gold Swaps For Packs

Still does nothing to solve the main issue of how the damn reward track grinds to a halt at higher levels. In addition to xp, we need gold for daily quests, or to bring back the 10 gold every 3 wins. Doing at least one of those two things would honestly be enough

posted a message on REWARDS TRACK UPDATE - Official Blizzard Statement

This still does not change the fact that they LIED to us. The ez fix would be to have the daily quests still give some gold to compensate for the long stretches of far apart levels, and maybe even bring back the 10 gold per 3 wins? I should not have to rely on an in game event to properly level my rewards track and feel like I’m being actively rewarded

posted a message on New Paladin Legendary Card Revealed - High Exarch Yrel

Think of it like this: Adding Yrel to a Darkmoon Faire expansion is like adding Iron Man to a Fantastic Four Movie. For each of your examples of Wow-lore breaking cards, I offer an explanation to why they are better than Yrel. Mechathun fits the theme of his expansion by being a mechanized version of himself in an expansion full of mechs. Shadowreaper Anduin comes from an Alternate story, a "what if the heros of Azeroth became Death Knights". I think that when the story of an expansion is design around such a theme it makes sense that we would see the dark side of Anduuin. Tyrannde is a priest by lore, so there is zero issue with her being a priest skin. Ragnaros lightlord? The Old gods have Ragnaros on their side, and as this was a time were blizz was more hesitant to reprint the same lore character multiple times as a card (I think they were testing the waters with Deathwing, Dragonlord), I can understand why they wanted a different sort of approach to the "ragnaros effect". Finally, League of evil. They are their own story of HS - made characters. I think it refreshing and cool that they can tell their own stories with their own characters. What my problem with Yrel is stems from the idea of continuity. Everything else in the xpac is either Faire-themed or Old god themed. Yrel. does. not. fit.

posted a message on New Paladin Legendary Card Revealed - High Exarch Yrel

Honestly the fact that Yrel is here makes Zero sense. Card is cool, I miss Ziliax, but pulling Yrel out of nowhere doesn't mesh well with me. Sure, HS expansions sometimes just pull things out of nowhere, like in GvG th e Legendary cast was a random mix. But recent expansions had a central theme that all card corresponded to. Unless this expac has some single player content that explains why Yrel, a denizen of an alternate reality Draenor who has never before set foot upon Azeroth decided to visit the darkmoon faire, then I will be satisfied. But to me this just seems like a case of weirdly handling a lore character. Again, cool card that I look forward to playing, but no something I'd expect to play from the darkmoon faire xpac. Honestly, they could have had a cool scarlet crusader presence instead, as the Darkmoon faire is home to the only place in Wow where you can buy scarlet crusade armor from a scarlet quartermaster. Combining the old gods madness with their zeal would fit perfectly thematically for me.

posted a message on The Clutch of Yogg-Saron Card Back Is Now Available In The In-Game Shop

So I guess I can’t really use card backs to gauge how long someone has been playing hs when I play against them. It’s not a game breaking change, I just thought it was cool to see things like “oh he has the Zuldrak card back! That means he’s been playing since May of 2016!” but now I guess cardbacks are no longer exclusive. I liked it at first with Ragnaros from the fire festival, as you actually had to earn it by completing a specific challenge, but simply paying gold is... boring. But, it must sell well or else Blizz wouldn’t be doing all of these card back sales

posted a message on New Neutral Common Card Revealed - Imprisoned Vilefiend

I have no personal gripes with this card, but damn, after seeing some of the cool and interesting effects that other imprisoned demons offer, this one feels even blander than a textless card. I am aware that not every card in an expansion must be cool and shake up the meta, but this card feels like plain potatoes on a Tuesday night.

Watch this whole thing be an elaborate April Fools joke by the devs. I mean, the timing almost fits perfectly.
