    Problem with him is that being 4/4 it's so easy to pewpew 2/2 Gnoll and Argent Commander -> Hogger. There are many 4 damage spells/stuff, so that's the point of swapping for Illidan, who has 5 HP, so he can survive to this attacks and at least do something next turn, plus he's a demon so as a warlock you can buff him (and I think he has the same "go for him like mad" feeling, just they need bigger stuff to kill him).

    I understand Hogger can be really dangerous with some classes that can buff/protect him better, but as a warlock that's not really easy :/

    Maybe I'm just not getting something, so some tips would be appreciated. But in my situation, don't you think there are better options?

    Just what title says. What's your opinion on this card?

    It was my first legendary, and used to enjoy it, but nowadays I'm feeling Hoggy is quite meh. I'm not sure, I think he has potential with some class cards, but as a warlock main I can't find an optimal way to use him (just drop and watch him getting destroyed next turn). I know you can force enemy to go like mad for him the moment you summon Hogger, and that's good at some point, but aren't there better options? The other legens in my main warlock deck are Thalnos, Jaraxxus, Sylvanas and Ragnaros, and I think that's enough orange-power for one deck (with Hogger they are 5). The thing is that the only one I see not working so well is Hogger, so... should I just drop him? I was thinking that I could craft Illidan and swap them, or maybe just put a Sunwalker in Hogger's place.

    Can't link my whole deck right now, so I just wanted to know... you think Hogger is any good? Any substitute for a warlock deck? I'm running a heavy spell focused deck with not so many minions, just to get to summon Molten Giant and then Jaraxxus fresh mojito party.

    I really really like that rogue, shaman, warlock and warrior ideas, with some tweaks (don't like the others so much, but just my opinion and still very good job :3).

    So, I'm running this deck and working fine (probably win 60% of my games), but now I got dust for another legendary card and I wanted to ask for opinions. I'd prefer a mid game minion, so I was between Sylvanas and Illidan. I like cards like Ysera too, but I think I got enough fatties for late game. So, what do you think about that two cards? What would you drop then? I think I'd drop the Molten Giant, but I'm not sure... some tips? Other recommendations?

    It's just an extra argument to justify how that changes could fit well in that class, not the only reason for the changes. If it was AGAINST lore they wouldn't even think about that possibility, so in fact, it can be important for real gameplay stuff. Just depends on how do you look at it (typical logic problem).

    Well, yes, it would be fine too if you could choose the cards you gonna discard as a payment. I'd like that, plus it would fit well in terms of "lore". A warlock should know (as a recipe) what he got to sacrifice in orden to summon / cast X. In fact, the random aspect fits better in the post-effect (you summon X minion, your spell results on this Y thing, because they are playing with too powerful stuff they can't control, you know e.e).

    I'd prefer more HP payment and less discard punishment. I'd change every single discard effect for a health cost when that cards are used, with some balance fixes too if that would be too stronk (maybe just keep the discard mechanic on Soul Fire). And I'd like to see some cards with a stronger "affli lock" feeling, maybe a spell castable on both hero or minions that leeches one HP each turn for X turns and Y mana cost (can't think about proper balance right now). I'd like to get a stronger feeling of paying life-leeching life back.

    I don't think warlock is VERY weak, but if we talk about STRONG OR WEAK, I think he would be in the weak side (I main warlock, but trying to be objective). I have a quite "expensive" deck, and if I use that luxury cards (Hogger, Ragnaros, Thalnos...) in other decks I feel much stronger than when I play with warlock. I'm talking about constructed, in arenas I don't have a lot of experience, but I think warlock is quite a bad pick too (probably worse than constructed).

    About the useless cards, that's real for sure, warlock has a lot of garbage cards which are really hard to put in any deck. Hope we get some changes/little buffs, but not too much!

    I think I couldn't say what made them so strong, but they are for sure. In my opinion, the problem with priests is that they are annoying as hell to play against, they need "less good luck" to beat you than any other class, because they can play überpassive even if you go aggro-mode and still crush you with so many different options, and that feeling of "So, what the fuck should I do? Because he can counter every single movement I do" is more common against them than against any other hero. Of course you can win against them, but you need to put a lot of effort and have much more luck than priest players.

    I find playing against priests plain disgusting, their mechanics are 110% antifun for me, and I don't have that feeling against any other class. I mean, I can keep playing the game for a really long time, even when losing a lot of matches, but the moment I get a priest-streak I'll just quit the game in a really bad mood (even if I win). That happens to some of my friends too (Skype multi-conver and hearing every now and then "Oh no, another fucking priest"). But I couldn't say how to fix them.

    Mind Control is disgusting for sure, I hate that spell in its current form. It's a fucking lazy spell, much more than any other delete-card (I know the higher cost, but anyway they got another 2 removal spells (x4 cards) with ridiculous low cost). Their buff cards such as PW: Shield are quite silly too, and Lightspawn buff was, imo, stupid as hell (I like the minion itself, but 4/4 was enough, more knowing how can a priest buff that HP and his healing mechanics). When all that shit is obnoxious enough, then they can copy your cards, extra cards! If it had some drawback like discarding some of your own or something, but that's not the case. Their crazy combo mojito party with Inner Fire on top of everything is just mad, and you can use it both to buff your own minions or put enemy's in SW range. But at least that's a funny mechanic and you need to use your brains a bit.

    I don't know, I feel I'm driving mad while typing this cause there are so many things I hate about priest that I can't even think properly. I'll give it a try later if I can.

    Oh, and I hate Anduin as a character, and the priest thematic itself. It's a living nightmare.

    Even more amazing with a few spell damage minions.

    I think shadowflame doesn't benefit from spell damage bonus, is just minion's you sacrifice damage.

    It's just that, same card in terms of gameplay, but it has a golden portrait and its picture has some animation.

    I hate my golden Voidwalkers/Infernals, they would be so lovely in a metallic purple/blue portrait and their animated picture :________(

     

    Edit: Oh, and you get [much] more arcane dust when disenchanting golden cards, compared to their normal version.

    Shadowflame is a fucking amazing combo with Leroy Jenkins, when you get both with 8 mana it feels almost like a Twisting Nether (even better cause only on enemy minions). Drop Leroy for a nice nuke on enemy's face, then shadowflame for 6 damage on every enemy minion (and you kill the dragons you give to the enemy when Leroy is summoned). In some scenarios, if you have a bit of board control, that's almost gg.

    In my opinion, at least with this deck, I'm getting better results with Ragnaros than Ysera. Plus if they silence Ragny, he becomes a 8/8 that hits like a truck :3

     

    For now I'm doing quite well, only problem are priests, I find them fucking disgusting after buffs.
