Oh, sorry, I probably skiped that!

If you wanna craft exclusively epics, with Shaman it's quite clear: Earth Elemental is your friend. In my opinion it's a must have card, but play it carefully, if you're facing a hero that usually runs hard removal, it may be terrible to drop your Elemental just to see him destroyed next turn by stuff such as Siphon Soul, The Black Knight, etc. leaving you with a nice 3-overload. With exceptions like that, Earth Elemental is a huge drop for only 5 mana, that can eat a lot of damage and hits like a truck. Other not-epic good shaman cards are:

Feral SpiritLava BurstLightning StormMana Tide TotemEarth ShockForked LightningLightning Bolt and Stormforged Axe. If you run many overload cards, Unbound Elemental can go steamrolling like mad too. I suppose you got some of this cards, anyway :3

About the other classes, I leave it to other people, I mainly play warlock and paladin (and sometimes shaman), so I can't tell you a lot about that. I know the basics anyway, but prefer someone who really knows that classes to tell you ^^

    Have a nice day!

    ^ +1

It would be important to know which classes you play the most, cause many class rare/epic cards are a "must" in some decks.

About neutrals, some examples of rares that are quite strong overall are: Argent CommanderAzure DrakeDefender of Argus (this last one is probably one of the most obnoxious cards in game right now, I'd probably craft even x2 if you don't have it).

If you like rush decks, Knife Juggler is a really annoying card that is used a lot in this kind of strategies.

Tell us about your favorite classes so we can help you a bit more :3

I'd disenchant it, it's a very situational card, and you can craft a lot of useful stuff with 1600 arcane dust (or just another legendary which could be much better, such as Sylvanas). If you don't have many cards, I'd probably craft several rare/epic cards so you fill more spots in your decks, but as you wish... I understand that running legendaries is quite cool, and some of them are really good, so if you prefer just craft one legendary and gogogo :3

The only exception is, as said, if you have plans on collecting every golden card, then keep it (I'm not one of those xD)

What drives me mad about that card is that I got the feeling that rogues ALWAYS get it in their starting / turn 2 hand. I think it's very annoying, but wouldn't say broken, and anyway quite difficult to find how to tweak this spell while leaving it the way it works.

There are options, such as changing it to 1 mana cost while letting you use it on damaged minions, but that would probably feel quite meh, or make it a 0 cost combo, if you use it directly it's 1 damage and as combo 2 damage (and maybe let you use it on damaged minions too). Dunno, I hate that card, but I'd just leave it how it is for now.

OK, now seeing that... both paladin epics you want are quite strong, I use both. Sometimes I run Avenging Wrathx2, sometimes I just use x1. And you already have Tirion, which is probably one of the best class legendaries, if not the best (but an übervaluable pick for a Silence, so play it carefully :3).

The druid one (Ancient of War) is really good too, and used in many druid decks (sometimes x1, sometimes x2). In fact, I see a lot of people whining about that card "being OP" (in my opinion, again another very vulnerable to Silence card, but if you can't deal with it fast, it's very strong).

For neutrals, Big Game Hunter is a bit situational but can save your ass some times, and it's not a terrible drop even if you don't take advantage of its battlecry. He's quite good if you are running a class that doesn't have a lot of hard removal. Sniping that huge Ragnaros with this little dwarf is just great.

About the other class-epics, I think they are not as important for that classes as the paladin/druid ones.

    Bye bye :3

From that list, if I had to disenchant anything, it would be:

Patient Assassin (You explained why, it's very vulnerable, but if enemy doesn't have AoE spells it can make some good plays. I hardly ever see it anyway).

Mindgames (I'd DE both, it's a really high risk / random card)

Bane of Doom (Another quite random card, imo warlock has much better or more reliable options for removal).

Gladiator's Longbow (I'd DE one, it's quite expensive for running x2 imo, and many decks don't even use it at all. Anyway, I'd keep one copy cause it's not a bad card).

From that, the ones I don't really like are Bane of Doom and Mindgames, about the others I'm not sure, but as said I think one copy of Gladiator's Longbow is enough. I'd just disenchant any of them if you really need that dust, if not better keep them.

It would be nice to know which classes you tend to play more, so we can tell you what cards could be more valuable for you :)

Some good neutral legendary cards are: Sylvanas, Ragnaros, Leeroy Jenkins, Thalnos and Tinkmaster.

Remember that's just my personal opinion, hope it helps :)

    Have a nice day!

posted a message on Idea for a Nerf on Blood Imp
    Quote from Flood_ »

I am not whining don't worry I like Blood imps but I could see the community getting a little angry with them. My idea to to keep them the same but have Deathrattle do 1 damage to all friendly Minions. The way it is now is so blood im dies from AoE but nothing else does putting everything with 2 health up to  3 so nothing would die from E.I. Consecration. But with the Deathrattle everything would die. BUT your minions would still have the 1 Heath for trading.

Problem with that would be spells that target random characters.

You got for example Blood Imp and two minions 2/1 (buffed to 2/2 with Imp). Mage uses arcane misiles: 2 hit you in the face, the third one kills the imp. I suppose the deathrattle would pop before they lose the buff, if not it would kill the other two minions, and then that would be terrible. There are other "little problems", for example vs warrior, suppose he kills the blood imp with Cleave, then the deathrattle would put any other minion in Execute range.

And I suppose there would be more scenarios like that.

What I think that could work is adding some "tech" to the game that makes that when you use an AoE damage spell, it "targets" the Blood Imp first, removing him (and the buff) before that spell damages the other minions. If there are several blood imps, it could target them in a chain, or something like that, I'm not sure.

Nice thread, have a nice day :3

So I think that saying "that's plain stupid" is being a bit ignorant, it depends a lot on the context, because there's a lot of people disenchanting legendaries they know they won't use and they are really fine with it.

How could they know such a thing?

    Another blind leading the blind.

Just as I know I won't play priest cause I don't like it at all, so I disenchant their legendary, and that can be the same point with any other class, as happens with Jaraxxus and warlock.

Anyway, just reading some of your posts (not only this) makes quite obvious you are the typical dude that "enjoys" typing one/two line answers in a really smart way, adding really little or zero constructive stuff to the discussion and being quite disrespectful in general. If that's the way you feel cool with your "online profile", fine, but stop trying to be a smart ass with me and just bring something useful to the table, if you can, please.

On topic, if I had all the core cards I wanted to play in the main decks I like, I wouldn't DE Jaraxxus for sure, as with any other legendary card (it's been a long time since I last DE a legendary, one I like it or not, cause I don't really need more arcane dust for now). Nobody is saying Jaraxxus is a bad card, and in fact in my first post I said I really love it, but that's when playing a specific deck around that card, which imo is not the only way warlocks can be successful, so if you don't have plans on playing warlock in general, and you need other cards badly, I'd disenchant it and craft them, while you'll be able to play some really good warlock decks with no need of their legendary (I'm just focusing on the fact that he said he doesn't like warlock, if he did I wouldn't tell him to consider disenchanting Jaraxxus :/ ). Again, that's only my opinion and you may or not agree with that, just trying to explain another point of view.

Have a nice day and sorry for my English.

    - "Game changer"

T9, you have 4 health and a clear board against three 3/3 or so minions, you play Jaraxxus. Board stays the same, you now have 15 health and a 3/8 weapon. You kill one minion and takes 3 damage. Then your opponent has one turn with 9, possibly 10, mana and 2 minions, to finish you off because you have NO BOARD PRESENCE AT ALL.

But say that you've survived, your opponent had no finishers in hand, and you only took 7 damage from his minions, and he played another 5/5. Ok, now you play a 6/6 infernal for 2 (amazing), and now you have 8 mana for anything you want. Then what? Now you're at the verge of dying once again, and if you don't have something like Sunfury Protector/DoA, you're basically dead next turn. Even if you have it, maybe your opponent has a spell that can finish you off, like every class has its own options for doing so.

Does this look like a "game changer" at all to you?

"Oh but it heals up to 15!" - Great. Amazing. You wanna know what does the same thing while instantly adding a 8/8 to your board? Alex. You don't get a weapon, you won't be able to summon infernals, but at least you have something to threaten your opponent with, something that if left alone, can indeed change the game, and if it doesn't, it healed you up to 15.

Also, before you say anything about Sacrificial Pact being a "situational" option, don't forget that Warlock is easily one of the most played classes, is in almost every top5 in every tournament, and will remain so for a LONG time, because it's straightforward AND effective. So if Jaxx becomes relevant in the meta (which I don't see happening), its hard counter WILL be a real threat really fast.

    "Semi +1"

There are tons of times where I just can't use it, so I finish the game, winning or losing, with Jaraxxus in my hand (post turn 10).

So yeh, as any other high cost legendary drop, he's more like a finisher, you use it when you already have a favorable board. But there are some exceptions, for example vs Direct Damage Spells mages, where you can use Jaraxx after they throw a Pyro at you, and in that kind of scenario he MAY save you if the mage doesn't have many minions on board.

Anyway, I think people overestimate Jaraxxus quite a bit, cause it's the kind of card that when you face it you can think "Oh my god, that shit is OP as hell", but you actually have to try him in order to know his numerous weaknesses. As said, many other high cost legendary cards do more or less the same as Jaraxxus, but imo he's harder to "use" than others, but in an optimal scenario he may be the one of the strongest finishers.

That's why I said to the opener that imo he could DE Jaraxx with no worries (which is the point of the thread), cause you don't actually need him when playing a good warlock deck, there are other cards that can do similar things, or just play a rush deck and say bye bye to late game drops. And he commented he doesn't really like warlock style, which is the base of all that I said...

Just my opinion, and sorry for my English, hope you understood :)

    Have a nice day!

posted a message on Disenchanting Jaraxxus?

Well, that depends... if you are not spending money it can get shitloads of time to get that "few" rares (or epics), so if you know you're not going to use that legendary card and are in need of other cards, even if they are "oh my gosh blue instead of orange", I don't see the problem with disenchanting it. Another thing is if you're mad for getting the whole cards collection or something like that, then yes, it's plain silly to disenchant legendaries, as any other card.

But dunno, I've never regretted DE cards such as Velen or Lorewalker Cho cause I know I'm not going to use that class (priest in my case, plus it's not a mandatory card for making a good deck, same as Jaraxxus in warlock) or that particular card cause you don't like it or doesn't fit your game style at all (as it happens to me with Lorewalker Cho). Then you can get 4 rare cards which may be really useful (my first Velen -> 1 Siphon Soul, 1 Shadowflame, 1 Defender of Argus and 1 Argent Commander, cards that I use and need everyday in the deck I like to play).

So I think that saying "that's plain stupid" is being a bit ignorant, it depends a lot on the context, because there's a lot of people disenchanting legendaries they know they won't use and they are really fine with it.

Anyway, to the OP, do what you want, if you think you may want to use Jaraxxus in a near future, logically keep it, but if not, consider disenchanting it and boost that decks you really prefer playing. It's not the end of the world :3

    Have a nice day.

    Quote from Carramba2302 »

Im sorry to say this, but it seems to me that you got your test group and the test itself wrong. You're testing gamers who use forums (vs all gamers) with no clear criterion of being a gamer. It would seem to me, that more correct approach would be to have a gaming-related question (i.e. time spent on gaming per week) and making comparisons based on that. Not only would it make the whole thing more transparent, it would also probably let you do some basic cause-effect analysis such as regression analysis, so that you would know that it is actually "gaming" that is responsible for depression.

    Hope this helps.

Well, he said it's something for school, so I wouldn't expect a really "hardcore" project. I may be wrong, and of course, if it's something more "serious" then you'll need a better control of the variables, sample and all that stuff, so I wouldn't come here to ask about that.

If you just wanna collect some "not 100% reliable" [at all] info about people who just visit this game forums it may be OK then (cause as Carramba2302 said, you don't really know any of us, we can be real gamers or just casual guys here in this forum, we can invent the scores, blah blah blah...)

Wouldn't do it for a University project or something bigger anyway :)

posted a message on Disenchanting Jaraxxus?

My main deck is warlock control, so I'm totally in love with Jaraxxus. Anyway, if one day you want to play warlock, there are many good decks that don't use Jaraxxus (in fact, the most common warlock decks nowadays are aggro/rush, and they don't usually run Jaraxxus, but can't tell you in the future).

Anyway, I get your point, and if I were you, I'd disenchant it. My first legendary was Velen and I was sure I didn't want to play priest (I just hate priest theme), so I disenchanted him to craft some useful cards for my main deck, and that way I could start winning some games with decent cards (with only basic cards you'll get to a point where you'll just crash into an "invisible wall" of legendary/epic decks that will just poop all over you :3

You'll have time to craft/open another Lord Jaraxxus, and anyway you don't really NEED it if you decide to play aggro warlock (for control, as said, he's VERY good, but in other warlock decks not really mandatory).

    It's just my opinion :)

    Have a nice day!

9 points, and the questions that I suppose scored that were mostly those about doing things slowly, losing interest about some things (nothing important) and that stuff, but I don't feel bad/sad at all (I'm just a project of sloth-human being :3).

Well, yes, that sucks, but there's nothing you can do, this kind of cards gonna exist. I never run them because RNG God must hate me quite bad too, and I'm sick of situations like the ones you explain, and then watching the same play by an enemy and totally screwing me. In fact, I got really bad luck in many other aspects of the game, for example when playing constructed, I mainly use 3 kind of decks, and if they worked a bit like Rock-Paper-Scissors, I always choose the deck that works worst against the enemy deck I gotta face. Can turn a bit mad, but we can't do shit about that, just deal with it :3

Twisting nether i never had the need for that card so dont got it in mine, the spellbreaker is something i look into but then i rather take an owl for the ancient watchers, but tbh i got nothing i really want to take out cos everything is working solid

Very similar to mine, but I run Spellbreaker/Owl instead of Tinkmaster (don't have it), and I swap one Mortal Coil for a Power Overwhelming, spell that saves my ass tons of times (just won a "lost game" with Leeroy + a Power Overwhelming I got in the last moment).

Not a big fan of Mountain Giants, so that two spots are for trying "random stuff" in my deck :3

Would love to have The Black Knight, btw.

Deck seems to work fine anyway :)
