Yes, how dare he assume you only had three games when your words absolutely implied you only had three games.

If you draw a 'cast when drawn', you will be unable to continue edwin's effect. I ran mankrik in a deck with acrobatics and it works that way with that, so I can't imagine this will be any different.

posted a message on Win-trading not happening anymore
    Quote from PetiteMouche >>

So they killed the game because they fixed two major exploits and entitled kids are outraged they can no longer beat the game in 2 days ?

The main issue people seem to have is that now, if an opponent is losing, they can just concede early and deny rewards to their opponent. This means you are at the mercy of your opponent as to whether or not you get anything at all. Makes for a LOT of feels-bad situations. I dont play mercenaries at all, but the general consensus seems to be that a fix to win trading was needed, but the solution they settled on was horrible, for the reason stated above.

Can't comment on the first mysterious stranger thing, I have no context for that one

    posted a message on Ridiculous

The most recent expansion had a heavy emphasis on inevitability. Ignite, questline mage/shaman/warlock (hunter to a lesser extent), even elwynn boar. There dont exist cards that can reasonably stop these win cons, you just have to win before they pull it off. So the solution is to figure out what turn these decks tend to win on, and make a deck that can win before that. There are plenty of ways to slow them down too; far watch post, that 1/4 that makes battlecries cost more, the 6-mana 5/5 that makes spells more expensive, etc. So slow them as much as you can, and win before they can go off. It's rough, but it is what it is. I miss pre-stormwind wild, tbh

posted a message on 21.3 Patch Notes - Constructed & Battlegrounds Balance Changes, Warlock Quest Banned In Wild & More!

Well. No more non-RNG combo disruption. I don't think I can go back to exclusively relying on lucky dirty rats/deathlords to stop combo decks. I'll be shelving hearthstone for a while, but I'll keep an eye on things in the meantime. I hope every non-dirty attrition player enjoys the changes though, they look pretty good for most everyone else!

posted a message on Theory on the Next Expansion's Hero Cards

Oh, I would love more 'start of game' effects. Then my dream of running a dozen of them in the same deck will finally become a reality. I'll call it 'unskippable cutscene before the boss'.

posted a message on Is inevitability a good thing?

My favourite playstyle is attrition; i want to beat my opponent's ENTIRE deck when I play. It's impossible when more than 1/3rd of my games will end up against quest lock. If there were an answer, I would run it. Since there isnt, i need to shelve the entire deck archetype. Feels bad, but thats the game now

posted a message on How do you handle the annoying players?

I've heard a lot of very sensitive people on topics like this. Someone once said playing more cards than is necessary to kill the opponent is bm. Apparently its annoying to let your opponent play out their win too? I assure you, the 'trumper' is not a problem. It's ridiculous to consider them one imo.

Roper yeh, faker idc. They're going for their out, nothing wrong with that.

posted a message on 2 Warlock Changes Coming On Tuesday - "Mana Cost Adjustments"

First real, non-rng combo disruption. I dont think I can ever go back to relying solely on dirty ray deathlord luck. I would probably quit if she were made unplayable, unless a suitable replacement is made

posted a message on I love this expansion

My favourite playstyle is attrition. Ive played attrition priest since 2014, been slowly working on it and improving it over time. Even in karazhan when priest was the meme class, I made it work. For the first time ever, im putting the deck away. This expansion released numerous win condition cards that are truly unstoppable-not a single card in the game can neutralize it, even in wild. You just have to kill them. We've seen some before, with taunt quest warrior, jade druid, kingsbane rogue, but those all have answers now. I sincerely dont know how they can possibly print a card that neutralizes the new quest lock or quest mage. Even elwynn boar, I cant think of a way to beat that deck in fatigue (not relevant now, but its yet another deck that i cannot reasonably stop should I run into it). So, until they stop seeing play, I have to abandon the deck that I loved playing for so long. Feels bad.
