The value of the grind is earlier access to the content. Time has value. As frustrating as it is to see the next person get a discount, I think it's naive to expect that they'll never add a catchup mechanic to Hearthstone for new players.

Keep in mind, he doesn't say packs are coming back. He also doesn't say Wild packs are coming back at full price. It's certainly possible that packs will come back at a cheaper price, include more cards or that dust costs will be reduced on Wild cards. I'd say their approach to Wild is being discussed alongside the question of how do they help new people catch up to experienced players in not only Wild, but also Standard.

Less clutter on the purchase screen for new players. Didn't want them accidentally buying things they couldn't use in Standard. Thought that people would just create the Wild cards they needed with Dust.

posted a message on im seriously so sick of this stupid game its not fair once your opponent gets good rng you lose.

Sorry to hear. Sometimes, it's best to step away from the game. A friend of mine used to play this game all the time and it would make him so angry and just down right miserable. Finally.... eventually... he stopped and he's happier for it. Sure, he misses the game occasionally, but some games aren't worth the stress. There's lots of great games out there, hope you can find one that suits you better.

If anything, the circle/auchenai combo is more important if you don't have Lyra.

Ya, the only way I see this being useful is if suddenly Warrior has some Gadgetzan Auctioneer variant. Even then... seems really hard to justify instead of or even along side Shield Block. Not a fan.

Feels like it's worth at least trying in Warlock Zoo if that deck exists. 5 of the 10 modes are really good in my books. (minibot, op creeper, 5/2, 2/5 and 3/3) And sometimes the weaker modes are going to save you.

Whoa now... I agree it's hard to activate on turn 2, but if you do... it's pretty sick in a lot of the modes.

    1) 2 mana 2/2 that summons two 1/1s is not decent. That's insane. Haunted Creeper was great and this is straight up better.
    2) 2 mana 5/2 is definitely not crap. I'd hesitate to call that even average.
    3) 2 mana bad faerie dragon is bad... I agree.
    4) 2 mana divine shield is insane. Shielded Minibot was a force.
    5) 2 mana windfury is bad... agreed.
    6) 2 mana taunt... again brutal... agreed.
    7) 2 mana 2/5 is definitely ground breaking... we play 3 mana 2/5s in some decks to control the board. This one's another hit.
    8) 2 mana 3/3 with zero drawback is sick and would see tons of play.
    9) 2 mana stealth is weak... agreed. Although occasionally, this will get picked since it's got the best odds of landing a hit without getting removed... call this a tie.
    10) 2 mana poisonous.... again kinda weak.

So, I'd say 5 out of 10 are actually very strong modes. Which is a safe bet that when this activates, that you'll get paid out. With it also having the beast tag... I think we'll see this getting played. Probably in Warlock. I agree with you in Hunter, it's probably not as sexy, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see it since it's probably still solid in Hunter because of Alley Cat as you mention and just because things like Kindly Grandmother make the likelihood of 2 minions being around that much greater.

Agreed, because right now it seems like a really hard quest to actually accomplish unless Paladin magically gets something similar to Explorer's Hat.

Corruption does see play in singleton decks.

10 is a lot though even with Call in the Finishers. And the Quest will take up a spot in your opening hand which will slow down the deck considerably.

Jade was a tribe they pushed for one expansion across multiple classes. Elementals will be the tribe they'll push for this expansion across multiple classes. Murlocs as a tribe is something they're pushing for Shaman across ALL expansions. (In the same way that Beasts as a tribe are pushed across all expansions for Hunters and Druids) The quests seem to be focused in this way. They're not intended to be just usable in this expansion alone.

Now would an Overload quest have made more sense for Shaman... perhaps. But, that doesn't mean a Murloc quest is out of place in Shaman.

When you look at the other quests, the end reward isn't supposed to say "I win the game". It's just supposed to have a powerful effect which this does. It's going to guarantee a deck that often runs out of steep, won't. That's a pretty big deal.

Shieldmasta, also attacks for 3.... sometimes you do need to close out a game. It's definitely a great card, but not strictly better than Shieldmasta.
