    No matter how hard to pull something is, you should NOT be able to OTK every class in the game EXCEPT for warrior when they have full health. This isn't fun, especially because there is no way to prevent it at all, unless you somehow get some armor, I suppose druid could stand a chance, except that they don't usually run heals, so Alex kills them anyway.

    I mean, there is another way. It's called Loatheb and it's not standard legal. Freeze mage needs nerfs, otherwise standard will fail at its goal of creating a diverse meta with new interesting decks.

    I disagree. Ancient of Lore is pretty safe. If nerfed, you can dust it for full value. If not nerfed, it will come good in quite any druid deck. Contrariwise, Force of Nature is risky. They may nerf  Wild Roar, and this way make Force of Nature unuseful without giving you full dust if you want to get rid of it.

    posted a message on Pretty ticked. Some sort of satisfaction guarantee needed from buying large quantities of packs.

    I did some calculations and the variance is not so bad (to simplify I ignored the % to get a golden card).

    When you get 80 packs, you are expected to receive around 4.4 legendary cards, 18 epics, 91 rares and 287 commons. The dust value of all the non-legendary cards is 5000 dusts, i.e. the value of 3.15 legendary cards. Since the dust from other cards is more stable (large numbers) you can consider these 3 legendary cards as guaranteed. Thus, when lucky with legendaries (5) you get 33% more value than when you are unlucky (3) and not 66% more (it is 6 vs 8 and not 3 vs 5).

    The variance is further reduced if you already have a lot of legendaries. If you get only legendaries that you already have, you have to dust everything. You got 5000 dusts for all the non-legendaries cards + 400 dusts for each legendary card. Thus the difference between getting 5 legendaries and getting 3 legendaries + 2 commons is the difference between 7000 and 6200 (+10) dusts. Not much then.

    Still, OP is probably right that packs cost too much in dollars. If you get 7000 dusts with 110 dollars (the "lucky" figure) you are paying 25 dollars for each new legendary card O_O

     I think the argument is "Wight Girl" actually did something relevant within the rules. Captain Obvious is funny, but it's effect doesn't do anything until and unless there's ever a card that says "You don't lose the game for having 0 or less Health." This card is more akin to the Optimistic Ogre card that was in the Giant contest with the play on typical Ogre wording. This is basically just Spider Tank without Mech?
     I'm wrong, or this card kill you if you have 1-2hp and trigger an explosive trap using Truesilver Champion?

    Just a suggestion of mechanic (I don't know how to do cards), feel free to take it (or not).

    A card that make you lose when played if the sum of the mana cost of your opponent hand is higher (or lower) than a certain threshold. If "higher than" it will be anti-aggro, if "lower than" anti-control.
