paisleypuddles posted a message on Silence should be temporaryPosted in: General DiscussionMaybe if the OP insults everyone who doesn't agree with him enough Blizz will change silence. Maybe.
Ironbeak/Keeper are the only two silences largely played, the former because of its low cost and the latter because of its flexibility. Silence as a mechanic carries a fairly high cost, aside from just mana, in that you're losing a card slot, body stats, and potential minion effect. The only time in which it is actually worth it is if the silence enables enough of a tempo swing to warrant the cost. I understand having your giant minion silenced may not be 'fun' for you, but you have counterplay options available and the back and forth fight for tempo is exactly what makes Hearthstone fun for many.

Thank you! Finally a little logic. -

FortyDust posted a message on [Unconfirmed] Next Set: Whisper of the Old GodsPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from MizukiBear >>The only thing i find complete bullshit with hearthstone expansions is: releasing sets of 100-150 cards twice a year is fucking expensive, for those of us who don't have the time to farm gold everyday and resort to purchasing card packs and adventures to play current meta. Basically this means instead of paying $25-35 per expansion I'm basically going to be forking out $80 twice a year without a guarantee i will have every card in the set. Ontop of all of this, the exchange rates are horrible atm so eg. 60 packs which is the best deal is $85AUD.... 40 packs for $65 etc.
Im sure im going to get alot of hate for this but for an aussie, that's damn expensive man. thats almost half my rent for the week; put it that way.I don't hate you, but I think your expectations are unrealistic. In most free-to-play games, you get only the minimally playable game for free, not the full-featured product. You can improve your experience immediately by paying cash, or slowly by investing time.If you cannot afford either money or time, you cannot reasonably expect to get beyond the barest bones of the game. That's just not how anything in this world works.Specifically in your case, I have to wonder why you want more cards if you don't even have time to finish your quests. If you don't play enough to collect gold, you don't play enough to need a lot of new cards. -

Pretty underwhelming for a Legendary

First attempt at card creation
Same mana cost as two Shadowforms with the benefit of being one card as opposed to two. The card for card swap is a wash so I did not factor it into the cost as it could be a pro or a con of the card. The Mind Shatter Hero Power is certainly powerful late game, but I wonder if the tempo cost is even worth it.

Not trying to be rude, but if you can't pass Rank 14 then 90% of the reason is likely how you're playing the deck, not any deck itself. What are you using currently?

Guys, I have insider knowledge that says they will release cards to deal with armor.
It's called gaining board presence and doing damage. -_-

If I had to guess the current offer will not expire, its a great way for them to drive players to WoW, some of which would have never played otherwise.

Purely from a marketing standpoint, I agree. It doesn't mean the expansion will be boring (haven't seen enough cards, etc.), but these initial showings are a bit underwhelming. You'd imagine interesting cards would drive more preorders.
