Xaril is a god in Malygos Rogue against control decks. It's above average in Miracle with Leeroy. That said, it can be easily replaced whereas Edwin is a core card for all Rogue decks. Go for it if you don't care too much about your Golden Xaril.

On an unrelated note: I crafted a golden Xaril a while after the Old Gods release and I don't regret it one bit.

In my opinion you should craft whatever you want even if it rotates soon. I already crafted some golden legendary cards and I don't regret one bit. I'm currently trying to complete my fav decks with golden cards.

So basically what you're saying is... avoid trying to take their minions off the board in the early game?

That's actually the opposite of what he's saying! Against aggressive or tempo-based opponents you want to aim to use your cheap removals to keep their board clear until late in the game when you can pull off big swings (e.g. Azure Drake + Swipe + two 0 mana Arcane Giants) to close out the game with big minions. The trick against these guys is just surviving to pull off those swings. Probably you need to focus more on ramp in these matchups, even such as considering the use of nourish to ramp up. If you're having real trouble with aggressive decks you can always try subbing in an ancient of war for a giant.
Against control opponents your game plan changes dramatically. In this matchup you'll want to save your cheap/ramp spells to try to cycle with gadgetzan auctioneer (if you're running one) and work towards the OTK combo using Malygos.
I see Yogg in this deck (and basically every deck that he's run) as more of a "Hail Mary" when the game is lost. Slam him down when everything looks bleak and sometimes, just sometimes, you'll get lucky and he'll completely turn the game around.
Basically, as mentioned above, don't get blinded by the one-turn-kill combo. If you want a deck that does that really well, worgen warrior may be the deck for you. Remember that this deck is perfectly capable of beating down your opponents the old-fashioned way using the Giants and moonglade portal.
Ok, I greatly appreciate your advice here.
I've struggled making decisions against aggro decks, using Living Roots to take out their minions. I also sometimes wonder if a Turn 1 sapling is a better play? Just to give them something to be distracted by, and having somewhat of a board presence. I'll consider using Nourish to ramp up against aggro as well, I've done so before, but wasn't quite sure if that was the smartest idea. I do use Gadgetzan as well.
I think the challenge with this deck lies in the fact that your spells and minions have a certain time and place to be played, and against different classes and archetypes, you should alter your playstyle accordingly. Honestly, no one game is ever the same. Therein lies the beauty of playing the Malygos and Token druid.
I will admit I've had better success with Token as well, but whenever I find something I'm not that good at, I feel like I have to master it. And if there are players using this deck in the legend ranks, then I have no excuse not to use it despite the steep learning curve.
You should really consider that. It probably the wisest decision because drawing cards might give you more options, but you're losing a lot of tempo, whereas gaining 2 mana might make you lose tempo on that turn, but it'll make you gain a lot of tempo in the long run. The deck has a lot of card draw, so choosing to ramp instead of drawing is not a problem. As a general rule you should always ramp, against aggro, or control, or whatever. The win condition then becomes different depending on the matchup.
Against control you should maintain pressure while cycling fast to get the pieces for your Malygos turn, the most important cards here are Malygos, Living Roots, Moonfire, and Auctioneer. Keep those cards in mind and don't waste them.
Against aggro you should survive and eventually they'll run out of steam while you're still going at full power. The most important cards here are Feral Rage, Moonglade Portal, and Raven Idol. Ravel Idol will help you get even more health or deal with those pesky minions that eat all your removal.
Needless to say that you should always mulligan for ramp. 1 or 2 mana of advantage through the whole game is much better than having a low cost removal for their early minions. You should highly consider keeping Nourish when things look bleak or you have some sort of ramp, be it Innervate or whatever, and don't forget to go that sweet mana advantage.
Even though these are the general rules, it all boils down to if and when you should use what you have. Don't be afraid to use important cards if the situation calls for it, but you have to be able to identify those situations yourself. If after all you tried things still aren't going well, you can always pray for RNGesus and the almighty Yogg-Saron.

posted a message on How strong is Miracle Rogue?

Depends on your skill level and what decks you play against the most. In general it's terrible if you have very little experience with Rogue, but it's more than decent if you're experienced. It's probably one of the best Rogue decks to climb with right now, just adjust your list to fare better against the types of decks you're facing the most and you're good to go.

posted a message on I played a Reno Rogue today with doubles of each card, and Reno activated.

I'm pretty sure you played against a Mill Rogue. Reno activates when there are no duplicates in your deck, so if you draw these cards they won't be in your deck anymore.
