I love the idea of this deck however kinda wished you where able to incorporate 2x Shattered Sun Cleric. Having that body as well as that buff is extremely power. It also give you another opportunity to enable your Nerubian Egg. Looking at a typical Zoo build tho, just want to throw out there that if you look 2x Abusive, 2x Dark Iron, 2x Shattered, 2x Direwolf, and 2x DoA you have 10 ways to enable the Egg which gives you a 1/3 chance of buffing the Egg. Almost guaranteed to get that 4/4 every time. I love the Nerubian egg so I've been theorycrafting with it. Just wanted to show you how the egg can be in a typical Zoo deck. Other than that I can't wait to try this when the expansion comes out. Thanks!

Nuba posted a message on [Nuba] Meta report and deck suggestions!!Posted in: General Deck BuildingHello everyone, just passing by to write a meta report and to give you guys updated options for decklists to use in this meta!
Miracle, miracle and miracle, everything is happening around miracle rogue. Its not that bad because there are plenty of ways to counter miracle rogue, but as many might have said before me: miracle is the most reliable and consistent deck in the entire game. Until new cards pops up that counter that playstyle, you'll always have to think about the miracle matchup when making a deck, which means if you want to counter the meta, you HAVE to also counter miracle. Basically there are 2 types of decks in this meta: Miracle and those who counter Miracle.
That being said, there are quite a few decks who do it on a very consistent way, i'll name some of those but you might want to add some yourself: shockadin, zoo, tempo rogue, these new druid agressive ramp variants that poped lately, hunter trap, etc. So if you are not too much into miracle, you can just go ahead and grab one of these decks, there are plenty of consistent ways of being "good against miracle", as you might have noticed.
There are some other decks that altho they dont always beat miracle, they are very strong and very consistent by themselves. The meta has evolved a lot, and the current name of the meta is: tempo. So there are quite a few other decks that are capable of generating tempo, while still doing "ok" against miracle rogue, such as shaman tempo and paladin tempo.
The reason some decks have been loosing consistently against miracle rogue is the fact that these decks are outdated, too many CA (card advantage) cards as well as big legends rather than just tempo, i'll give you some examples on my newest created shaman deck:
[Nuba]Tempo Shaman Unknown Deck by Nuba - Jun 13, 2014Minion (17) Ability (12) - 2x Feral Spirit
- 2x Lightning Storm
- 2x Earth Shock
- 2x Hex
- 2x Lightning Bolt
- 2x Rockbiter Weapon
Weapon (1) - 1x Doomhammer
Loading Collection I dropped some of the CA cards such as both Mana Tide Totems for more stable tempo cards such as Gnomish Inventor, that not only draw you cards but also have reliable bodys themselves, I have been performing extremelly well with this shaman build lately, not loosing a single game as far as the playtest goes (currently rank 3).
The same goes to control warrior, Justsaiyan posted a "midrange-ish" control warrior build, which is just better than the ultra-legendary-heavy version many people use, it actually wins versus miracle! (TOO GOOD!)
[V2.0] Justsaiyan's Meta Control Deck Unknown Deck by Justsa1yan - May 27, 2014Minion (17) Ability (10) - 1x Brawl
- 2x Shield Slam
- 2x Execute
- 2x Shield Block
- 1x Slam
- 2x Whirlwind
Weapon (3) - 2x Fiery War Axe
- 1x Arcanite Reaper
Loading Collection that is also the reason people are going a lot Azure Drake lately, the card generates tempo by giving you a reliable body while still giving you a card :D
There are 3 tiers of classes, currently. IMO you should choose whichever you want to play by taste but if you are one of those tryhard guys that dont care about fun and only about wins, here are the tier of classes:
Tier 1(the "best" classes):Rogue, Druid and Warlock.
Tier 2(the "still good" classes): Shaman, Warrior and Paladin.
Tier 3(The "weak" classes): Priest, hunter and mage.here are my sugestions as this weeks decks:
Rogue: Miracle, obviously. I have been playing Hyunosim's version of miracle, and it is by far the most consistent version because it lacks "bad cards" that fill your hand with unplayable stuff. its less bursty but more resilient and stable! I like this more than Kolentos build.
25 Legend Ultimate Miracle Rogue Guide! Unknown Deck by hyunosim - Jun 13, 2014Minion (12) - 1x Bloodmage Thalnos
- 1x Edwin VanCleef
- 1x Leeroy Jenkins
- 2x Azure Drake
- 2x Gadgetzan Auctioneer
- 2x SI:7 Agent
- 2x Earthen Ring Farseer
- 1x Gnomish Inventor
Ability (18) - 2x Preparation
- 1x Blade Flurry
- 1x Conceal
- 2x Backstab
- 2x Deadly Poison
- 2x Eviscerate
- 2x Fan of Knives
- 2x Shadowstep
- 2x Sap
- 2x Shiv
Loading Collection
Shaman and Druid: my builds have been doing extremelly well lately, I sugest you to try them out! Here is the druid one:

Ability (11) - 1x Force of Nature
- 2x Innervate
- 2x Wild Growth
- 2x Wrath
- 2x Savage Roar
- 2x Swipe
Loading Collection
Warrior: go for Justsaiyan, he knows his stuff!
Warlock: Zoo is still the one giving the most headache to everybody, it hasnt changed a lot since the most stable build has poped up, this is my build, the standard Zoo build:
[Nuba]Budget Standard Zoo Unknown Deck by Nuba - Jun 13, 2014Minion (26) - 2x Argent Commander

Ability (4) - 2x Mortal Coil
- 2x Soulfire
Loading Collection And if you feel like playing one of the weak classes, I have a couple experimental builds you could playtest for me :D

Lux_EU posted a message on Soulbound Deck Building Team Recruitment ThreadSoulbound Recruitment Thread
What is Soulbound -
We are a Deck Building team and close community of players. We specialize in creating and testing coherent decks for the Hearthpwn Community. We understand that for the user to get the best results from decks you must also supply a detailed and well presented guide to help them learn. We have already established ourselves as deck builders, So it's most likely that you have seen us in deck spotlights or found on the top decks widget on the front page.So why are we recruiting? -
Soulbound was founded mid-February, at the time deck building teams were still a new concept so initially things were slow, a few months down the line and some solid content finally got out. However, some of the initial members had to leave based on being recruited by pro hearthstone teams or other commitments in life.So we like to think of this as a second wave of new recruits my first attempt of recruiting members resulted in 50 applicants which I had to go through independently, this time it will be different I will being sitting down with a few key members of Soulbound and discussing your application in detail. So how do I sign up? and How can I increase my odds of joining.
Well we will require you to fill out this recruitment criteria and PM either myself or Post in the Thread Below.
- Battle Net Name -
- Nickname (Name to be addressed by-
- Best Rank Achieved -
- Server -
- Your main class -
- Link to a deck you have created-
Why do I have to say my rank?"We won't be judging applicants on rank it's just there for us to have a better understanding of you as a player."Rules of Application.
"Please do not plagiarize any content!"
For example - taking a well known deck like Zoolock and submitting it to us we will count it as plagiarizing. Using a well known deck like Zoolock and changing the cards up while justifying the card changes and presenting the guide in a detailed manner will get you good marks.Keep in mind creating an all new deck with good explanation and detail will get you the best marks. We will be looking for the following
- Good layout of Guide with good explanation
- Deck Matchups - how to play the deck into different classes.
- Catering towards different budgets - for example suggesting replacement cards for legendary/epics
- Video Guides - Well edited or not, Commentary or not. This will get you good marks.
- Creative Content in general.
Yay I got accepted into Soulbound what do we do?
We create and help test each others decks and give feedback to each other before we release them to the community, We will also be creating interesting articles for the Hearthpwn Website on a large series of topics all Hearthstone. We also have great opportunities in the future to work closely with Hearthpwn.Plus you get a fabulous Icon like mine once everything is sorted out. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I´ll just keep watching Amaz vs Trump second bo9 :D

Building a deck around minions with 3+ hp just to survive your own draw doesnt make sence :D

This card is just pure awesomeness! Got it in my arena run and its pretty op :)

Ok, let me try to enlighten you and maybe change your mind here.
1. Shaman legendary: It is really great actually, because together with the siltfin Spiritwalker it opens up a whole new decktype (Murloc) for shamans. Not everyone likes to play murloc but suddenly being able to use not only the new mech/goblin&Gnome/(pirate/ogre) style, shamans even can play murloc now. It does fit shamans quiet well. Think about healing totem or bloodlust.
Maybe you dont like it but its pretty strong imo!
2. Leviathan:
- 7/7/7 matches a War Golem, which never found a spot in competetive play (for obvious reasons)
- Adding an "interesting" effect, which is unpredictable to time with a great downside, doesnt help the mage at all. if your opponent has an Acolyte of Pain, Frothing Berserker, Nerubian Egg or any enrage minion on the board, I am screwed.
- 2 damage dealt to me as well, will kill me, if Im using an Ice Block on low health.
- My opponent knows a card in my hand and can act accordingly (keep his BGH, sheep, hex etc), which makes it even more underwhelming
Mages overall: We lack a lot of keycards... No 5 mana class drop makes us rely on neutrals. There are great ones out there but they are not tuned to fit mage. Like Pally we have too many 4 mana options but non for later rounds.
We had no viable boardclear like other class have. If we dont win the early game, we usually lost overall because our turn 6/7 boardclear is great but so damn late. Even after the expansion we have to rely on a neutral (Im quiet happy about the explosive sheep actually :) ).
The Flame Leviathan is a sorry excuse for that issue because it is IMPOSSIBLE to time it. The explosive sheep is so much better. We finally get lay the card Blizzard to rest, as its so bad for a six mana card.
There is a reason why so many mages (which arent many) play frostmage. Secret mage is a little bit below decent and saw only a little bit of play lately (and I mean "a little") as an act of surprise. Even Strifecro said its bad, he just played it because he likes mage and used it as a surprise deck.
Sorry for the wall of text^^

Thank you for posting here Drowrkhan.
I love deckbuilding and created a lot of decks and played my own style for quiet some time. I gave the Leviathan a lot of thought and I see no, really no way, this card can be viable in a constructive deck.

I have to say it this blunt because pretty words doesnt help here: This card is useless!
Mage has a huge problem with handling the board mid game wise. We have no viable way to deal with the board until turn 6, which is just one of the issues we have (still no class 5 drop :( ). Mages have high hopes for the upcoming expansion and there are a lot of new opportunities for us. Being the lowest tier for a loooong time now, we are kinda disappointed with the Leviathan.
Edit: For the midgame boardclear we can ping the Explosive Sheep on turn 4 now, which is really cool! But this is even another reason for not put the Leviathan in the deck, because the Sheep fills this spot already O.o
1
At least you can make Boivar work, Flame Leviathan will be just useless, no matter how you look at it.
I hope Ill get Millhouse, Lorewalker Cho and the Flame Leviathan in my Arena draft, so I just have to decide if I take Cho or Millhouse.
1
4 now, trolls gonna troll :)
1
2 troll votes for flame leviathan lol.
Voljin is pretty good, just like iron juggernaut and mal ganis. Votes for Mal´Ganis, cause its a demon!
Need a vote for worst legendary though. Flame Leviathan might be the worst overall even King Krush beats it easily. Id even prefer Lorewalker cho over it
5
I dont think there has been any card discussing thread where everyone agreed.
This must be the first one where EVERYONE agrees on how bad this card is. Even Bolvar´s discussion had many ppl liking it
3
Bolvar is a million times better than the Leviathan! Bolvas has an unique ability which can be useful in different ways. Leviathan however is always bad because it its IMPOSSIBLE to count on it. Further more it can and will most likely be a downswing.
Killing eggs, enrage minions, improve cards like Frothing Berserker....
Mage is frigging low tier of all classes and how do you fix it? Release this basic card. If mages want cards like this, we´d use War Golems for god sake...
