Discover effects are weighted evenly between class and neutral, and KotFT isn't live yet so any taunt minions from that aren't influencing what taunt minions you discover. There's the possibility that the latest patch accidentally affected discover effects, but it's just more likely that you got unlucky and noticing it more than when you get lucky.
"Discover effects are weighted evenly between class and neutral"
These are so terrible that there has to yet be another legendary with text that says something like "If you've played all princes, your hero is immune for the rest of the game" ha!
2) The expansion cause the year is ending, and there is a new pack skin on the newspaper. The expansion will prob be dark again like having to do with the heist and whatever is secretly going on in town (crime, gangs, etc)
I was guessing a new storefront partly because one of the pictures is of a ribbon cutting. Also one of the pictures is of what looks like a large colosseum of competitors so I figured entry into tournament mode or heroic brawl are part of new purchase options on the storefront/bank?
I think the GUI for the hearthstone store front is getting a major look and feel overhaul in the next expansion, a one stop shop for purchases of packs, heroes, entries into heroic brawl, maybe even a tournament mode. I think all of this will have a Gadgetzan theme/setting.
I think that what a lot of these hints have been pointing to, i.e. References to a banker, purchases, etc.
To add to that, it would throw a bone to some of the HS faithful.
And allowing a voting element to what's brought in and out would sure be fun. For example, they list a set of cards they are considering rotating in. They poll the community on which they'd most like to see. Just an idea.
I don't have the source, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that over time they would think about adding a few cards from the expansions into the classic set.
If that's the case, it would be nice if we did not have to re-craft them if we already own them.
With the plan to expand to a Wild and Standard format and old sets becoming obsolete in standard, there is no doubt the problem of losing some excellently designed cards in standard.
I'm guessing the plan to mitigate this is to design a replacement card that is close, but not quite the same. I guess that does keep the content fresh, but still there are some cards I'm really going to miss that don't need any tweaking.
Would the devs ever consider migrating a card from an obsolete expansion into the classic set instead? Perhaps they could even involve the HS community through a voting process?
Even though I myself have put a lot of money into this game, I'm very happy to see that Blizzard has made the game much more accessible to newer players :)
Just wanted to start a thread to get everyone's opinion on their least favorite card design, (not their least favorite card). The card could be terrible or excellent in play. I'm just seeking commentary on the design :). Have fun! I'm sure King of Beasts ranks up there.
I was doing pretty good w Shaman and then it seems my opening hands started going south and that made all the difference. Whereas I often saw rockbiter and power mace in my opening hands often, that stopped suddenly. (Tinfoil hat statement incoming) Ok I could almost swear Blizzard watches statistics and tweaks things like opening hand and matchups if a deck type is winning too consistently. Some call it going on tilt, but I can't help but wonder at times if there's more going on behind the scenes to keep play balanced.
Well no because like you said, you got a lot of great starting hands in a row. Nobody watches statistics and tweaks draws, they're just like that...I often get a great starting hand streak into a bad one and so on. It's all random, but I do think Shaman suffers more from this randomness.
The reason is that Shaman is a class built around efficient trading and holding board control into a potentially big burst finish. The great amount of cheap and efficient removal supports that playstyle.
But when you can't build a board, games become almost unwinnable. Add to that the overload and RNG mechanics, and you see why Shaman can be quite inconsistent.
I guess if you stick with it, like someone suggested, you can wear out rough patches and poor draws and still win with it a lot.

Fencing Coach just made this card more viable if it's effect carries to the next turn where you can drop Garrison Commander with Confessor Paletress

Great points.
Its just that when I see things like this http://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/2pfpmk/compilation_of_blizzard_hearthstone_developer_ama/
I wonder what other kinds of tweaking goes in to balancing play. Well, I need to take my tinfoil hat off for now. Thanks for replying.
