Wrenchcalibur is reasonably countered by weapon removal. Yes, they can bring it back but there's nothing stopping anyone from running multiple removals.
Why do I need to counter a specific deck with multiple cards that don't fit vs other decks, while this one doesn't even attack my face and just removes minions while having OVER 30 health, while relying on MY RNG draw? Battlecry and Deathrattle are enough, this shyte needs to end. But nothing is better than beating their hinnies, maybe second to beating rez priest. Then again, rez priest needs more IQ to handle.
As far as DH is concerned, Lapi needs to go to 4/4 +4, and mystic to 4 mana.

Weapon removals works against Pure paladin, Soul shard DH, Control warrior, any type of Hunter... All of them are meta decks.
It's not only a card to beat a single specific deck.

I used to play fun homebrew decks and I use to reach D1-5 with them, sometimes legend, but every match is really hard and exhausting.
Last month i decided to play some "meta" decks like HL priest, 32-2 streak to reach legend easily.
Skill is important, but good decks makes the difference.

Rogue have the best hard removal of HS. Cheap, annoying and negates buffs and deathrattles: Sap.
Libram pally is a bad matchup for agro Rogue, but Sap can save you.

I've won many games with full health playing prenerfed deathwing. It's quite possible, but can happen. :)

You need more practice with the deck or you had a really bad luck streak.
Last month i've reach legend with standar HL priest. I think that inner fire decks are weak nowadays, keep trying with other archetypes.

My tip is just have fun playing and if you cannot reach legend on August, try it on septembre.

I used Lorewalker Cho in a full minions deck on koft meta. Was hilarious how people wastes lots of resources (or give me spells) to kill that minion.
Millhouse and chromatic are BS, that is true.

First Day of School is perfectly balanced and fair.
The only one problematic card is Blessing of Authority, getting a huge early highroll.
