posted a message on Do you even bother with games against priest?

You mean the 10th ranked class in the game?

That's very submissive. You need to have some self-respect and confidence.

posted a message on Reverted Nerfs Announced - Neutrals

    Calling it now:

Odd Hunter is going to be insane.

Pre-nerf UndertakerLeper Gnome, and they might even throw in some Arcane Golem. All whilst shooting your face for 3.

posted a message on Am I the only one worried about the Rogue reverts?

    I was.

When I heard they were reverting nerfs, I was pretty excited, but the Rogue quest was the one that I was dreading.

Thinking about it some more - I think it's just too slow these days. When you have Aggro Druids that can win turn 3, Secret Mages that draw spells and minions and target face 100% of the time, and Priests and Warlocks that can deal with a full board with ease, I can't see Crystal Core making a dent on the current meta.

However, they have opened pandora's box with this one.

The fact that they unnerfed this, probably the card in Hearthstone with the highest number of nerfs, means that anything is possible.

I'm in Charge now... Patches the Pirate

posted a message on Azure Drake must be included in the Core set

Azure Drake would not see play in every deck like it used to.

They could even bring back Ragnaros and Sylvanas and I doubt they would even see much play.

Disagree on Muster for Battle. Every Paladin deck will use this, whether Control or Aggro.

posted a message on More Reverted Nerfs Announced - Paladin, Priest & Rogue

I was pretty excited about these reverted nerfs, but the one I was not looking forward to was Rogue's quest going back to how it is was. The mad lads actually did it.

Still, I think it might just be too slow for Wild these days.

It does mean anything is now possible. Can definitely see Patches getting his charge back...

    posted a message on Wild

Raza Priest is a pretty expensive deck, and Blizzard currently have their hairy eyeball on it. It could be re-nerfed back to a 1 mana hero power.

Personally, I see a lot less Raza Priests around than I did a few months ago, and they seem pretty managable to play against. At least for the decks I play.

But if the Priest-hate Bandwagon is loud enough, a nerf is very possible.

They have also said they are keeping an eye on Secret Mage too. Hard to predict what would be nerfed, as there is no one single problematic card in the deck.

These days I am mainly playing Zoo Lock and Reno Lock. Zoo will exist until the end of time, and Reno Lock has always been good too, especially with Tickatus to mess with other Control decks.

posted a message on Some kind of indicator for Nozdormu decks

    Your concern is cute.

But think about what you are saying here.

This card will not be played. Fast players will play fast even without adding a dead card to their deck.

posted a message on The state of casual...

    It is dire.

I very rarely play Casual, but sometimes I do enjoy some golden Renounce Darkness memery.

I cannot remember the last time I saw an opponent there who had an active pulse and blood in their system.

posted a message on Art direction in Hearthstone

So there are plenty of threads about balance, but how do people feel about the direction art is going in Hearthstone?

Am I the only one who feels like it's getting too silly and campy?

When you look at cards such as Frightened Flunky, SwindleLab Partner.

Sure, Hearthstone has always had that element since the GvG days, but I feel like they are going a bit too far with it and I am genuinely starting to feel like I should be handing my card collection to my 4 year old nephew. Seems like it's more catered for that demographic.

Even just comparing the new versions of the dragon aspects.

    Alexstrasza - Alexstrasza the Life-Binder

    Deathwing - Deathwing the Destroyer

    Malygos - Malygos the Spellweaver

    Ysera - Ysera the Dreamer

The new ones look like toys.

I find it hard to relate to the game when the art quality is suffering, it may not be as important as game balance but it is still important in its own way.

After all, if every card just had an untextured cube as their artwork and was called "Card 1" or "Card 128", I doubt we would enjoy it as much (well, after the novelty has worn off...)

posted a message on everyone needs to play new Nozdormu

Which deck would include a vanilla 7 mana 8/8?

Fast players will play fast even without an artificial 15 second timer.

Nozdormu is an IQ check. If he is in your deck - you have failed the check.

posted a message on Cards from Core i'm excited for

Let's be realistic - even if double Jaraxxus was a thing, you will still use zero Jaraxxus in Wild. 0. Bagel.

Bloodreaver Gul'dan exists, and is twice the card Lord Jaraxxus ever was.

Still, looking forward to playing my old golden Jaraxxus in Classic Mode once again.

    Did you unlock Demon Hunter?

I had some weird stuff going on which wouldn't allow me to create some decks or see my full Wild collection until Demon Hunter was unlocked.

posted a message on So What's the Complaint This Time?

I am fairly critical about Blizzard, but I have nothing to complain about in regards to Hearthstone currently.

All the upcoming changes look positive, and even the controversial reward track system we have had since Darkmoon has given me way more gold than I usually would have near the end of an expansion.

I think card game players are just generally a salty bunch of sweats.

Was the same in my MTG and Yu-Gi-Oh days. I used to play tournaments, and encountered some of the most sad, miserable species of life I have ever seen.

Hearthstone is the same, but when you mix in the anonymity of the interwebz - everyone is a Desktop Warlord. Or lawyer. Or astronaut.

posted a message on Hearthstone classic

WoW and Hearthstone are two very different games.

WoW Classic will transition to TBC, but they will keep one or several servers for people who want to play Classic in Phase 6 forever.

Would they do that in Hearthstone? You would have Standard, Wild, Classic (real) and Classic (with expansions).

Seems kind of redundant, Wild serves that purpose.
