posted a message on New Paladin Spell - Time Out!

Some classes would love to have this card, particularly those with OTK potential. It is wasted on Paladin, an Aggro-only class.

Perhaps upcoming reveals are about to change that?

Feels like it. Togwaggle, deathrattle hunter, Shudderwock Shaman, token druid, taunt druid (kind of counters as in the end the board fills with lots of minions where they just OTK you even with 50 armour).

Odd warrior hasn't been a tier 1 deck for quite some time, so why do everybody play specifically counters to this deck? :/
Almost impossible to play it right now, unless you like a 20-30% win rate.

I found this yesterday. So started dicking about with Odd Shaman. When they release King Rasta, it'll literally be a troll deck.

How's that working for you, is it in Standard or Wild? I've been wanting to play an Odd Shaman, but for the life of me it just does not work.

Nobody is specifically targetting Odd Warrior.

Meta shifting indirectly effects the win rates of other decks. When one archetype increases in percentage, another falls. That's how a meta works.

posted a message on Is it time for Blizzard to give us 9 more deckslots?

How do people find the time to play 18 decks anyway?  As in decks you play frequently, rather than a few games and then forget about it. Even in my most active periods of playing Hearthstone, I never went above 9 decks. And that's in both Standard and Wild.

posted a message on Dwindling Fun

I felt the same at the beginning of Doomsday, which I never felt before. Playing decks which I don't find fun just to stay competitive, staying on the treadmill of Rank 5 to Legend month after month, and there have been very few cards from the last two expansions with a flavour I actually like.

So what did I do? Stopped caring about rank, stopped caring about playing decks I hate, I dusted my entire collection and crafted my 3 favourite decks in 100% golden (Wild Dragon Control Priest, Renolock and Renounce Lock, and golden Whizbang the Wonderful just for the hell of it), and I have a hoard of 160k dust to upgrade them with any future golden cards from newer expansions.

It's a pretty extreme reaction, I know. And I'm certainly not suggesting to anyone to disenchant their collection, haha. But this is what worked for me. I play a lot more casually, playing only the decks I enjoy, and I don't have to spend a single £ to continue enjoying the game. My dust and any gold earned between expansions should be able to sustain me.

posted a message on Wild meta after Aviana downfall

Mostly Big Priest, Renolock, Kingsbane Rogue, Jade Druid, Odd Paladin, Aggro Mage. As pointed out by previous posters, it's the exact same Witchwood meta, pre-Doomsday.

posted a message on Should Even Shaman be nerfed?

Are we talking about Wild? it's certainly a strong deck but I don't think it's in nerf-bat territory. There are plenty of decks that can manage it pretty well.

I'm not sure how it's performing in Standard, as I've never even seen it in Standard. Seems like it lacks a lot of the synergy with the 1-mana hero power.

posted a message on Wild Mode is dying by Star Aligner Druid
    Quote from TheCreature >>

Bitches like you are whats making this game go the way of WoW... noobs cry and big daddy blizzard will bring out the nerf bat to wipe your tears away, over some really interestingly thought out deck, yet kingsbane, and big priest rule wild, and nothing gets done about them? AK47 Druid is way easier to beat then kingsbane. Tempo mage rapes it also. Agro hunter kills it by turn 5. The noobs crying over this are just playing some meme deck they cooked up and right before they can do their ******** combo, turn 8 happens and they gets OTKed by something other than malygos. Its wild mode ffs... quit crying and go play Standard. plz? Okybye.

Looks like somebody's favourite Solitaire deck got hit with a nerf. That outburst of rage is absolutely precious.

All things considered, it was a mild nerf, the deck is still very much playable. Have The Coin, or Innervate as backup, and the combo can still be pulled off as early as turn 8.

Perhaps the overall winrate has gone down a couple of percent, but the combo won't be going anywhere.

Still, it shows their incompetence when they nerf a Wild card that came out over 3 years ago and has been fine until Juicy Psychmelon was made, which is the true culprit. This card is going to cause more issues down the line, make no mistake.

posted a message on Balance Change Predictions

I'm guessing Giggling Inventor to 6 mana, Juicy Psychmelon nerfed to unplayability (it's just not a card Druid needs).

There may also be a completely random "was that nercessary?" mana increase to a card, like with Hex.

posted a message on Star Aligner Combo Not Counterable

I've been playing Dragon Control Priest and countering it pretty easily, just Dirty RatShadow Word: Death one of the Star Aligners or Kun. Even better with Brann. Ragequit follows shortly after.

The worrying thing is just how oblivious Blizzard is to the state of Druids and how quickly they can pull it off, it's the fastest OTK Hearthstone has had.

And I guarantee you next expansion Druids will still receive more mana ramp and more card draw.

This brawl was fun for about 5 minutes. That's after several games, as each one was decided by turn 2.

posted a message on Why is hearthstone so toxic??

While Hearthstone, and indeed Hearthpwn, are clear examples of toxic behavior on the interwebz, it's not exclusive to here and you can see it in any game you play.

Amplify it by at least two if it's a card game, and then again if it's online.

Have you ever attended a RL card game tournament for games like MTG, Yugioh, ect? You'll witness some of the saddest, most miserable forms of human life on this planet who have likely never had a day of fun in their lifetime. It's just natural with card game communities. Only here, they also have the veil of internet anonymity.

Everybody is a big deal on the internet.

posted a message on WILD STAR ALLIGNER IS BROKEN

So I've been away for a couple of weeks, came back and the first game I played was against this deck.

Druid pulled off the combo while I was at 7 mana (2 of which was granted by his Biology Project) and I believe he had 17 cards still in his deck.

Perhaps the stars aligned (heh) and he drew cards in literally the most perfect curve sequence conceivable, but that is pretty ridiculous regardless.

And yet next expansion, and the one after that, Druid will receive more ramp and more card draw.

posted a message on Head to wild for a switch up and guess whats waiting

I'm not really seeing the Zoolock hype right now. It is pretty annoying if they have been blessed with the perfect opening of Flame ImpThe CoinVoodoo DoctorHappy Ghoul x2, but beyond that, most Control Decks can tame them pretty simply.

Even Shaman is more problematic, with a 70% WR. Odd Paladin Isn't too far behind.

posted a message on is it worth it to craft mecha'thun Priest

Pay no attention to anyone that says Mecha'thun a bad craft. Even if it's not at full potential now (although all Mecha'thun decks are Tier 3 currently and could rise, the "meta" is changing every day), somewhere down the line, there will be a Tier 1 worthy deck. All it needs is a few more broken cards.

However, I find the Priest version incredibly dull. The Warlock version is slightly less consistent, but more enjoyable to play. And Hemet is not required for Warlock or Druid.
