I like the expansion many classes are viable. Of coruse the bad salty players are the one´s complaining and making posts.
We founf the faceroll DH player.
I agree with most of what you said. I love that evolve shaman is back, and even if it's not the strongest deck I find it a lot of fun to play. I think you make a lot of sacrafices in your deck building though to play this deck, with at least 6/8 cards that are generally useless if you haven't built a board or got the right draw. Playing a GalaLock who has drawn all the invokes they need by turn 7 and plays a fully upgraded gala with all the new demons that are now in play is not crazy, it's just plain broken. I know you've got to draw the invokes but I would argue that lock invoke cards are pretty strong and have no negative effect on your deck even though you must include them. Decks that are capable of big swing turns need to be designed to have a downside to compensate for those swings. Unfortunatly most highlander, galakrond and too a lesser extent DH decks just don't have that downside.
Does a 4 mana albatross make any difference though? Delaying the effect by 1 turn just stops an early Zephrys, and I suspect most people aren't using Zephrys before turn 5 unless they're forced to. I think it's a perfectly fine card but if they're going to effectively nerf it the only way is to remove the fact it creates duplicates somehow, but then what's the point in the card.
There is no way they're just going to totally destroy the albatross like that. Highlander and 'pure' decks need some kind of disruption. Maybe shuffle in 2 1/1 albatross but it draws a copy of itself, so at least you get some use out of it. The only other way (which I can't see happening), and I'm going off the fact they said it would benefit paly and but didn't mention highlander, is if the gave it an 'all' tag for some reason.
It will be a travesty if they nerf Bad Luck Albatross
Like you (I'm guessing) I play the game purely as a competitive card game and for it's mechanics. I suspect a major portion of the player base do get an hard on for Sylvana though so blizz are never going to want to piss them off by messing with their 'lore'. Just looked what happened when all they did was change Jaina's tits.
ITT - I want a billion dollar corporation to give me more free things and make less money because I think that I'm entitled to more.
Either play the game and deal with the pricing & reward structure or go and play something else. No one is forcing you to play. Activision won't miss you if you do.
Well I've already played against more classes this morning than I did Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. DH might still be OP but it's slightly less so now and already feels less bad to play against, and there's more variety. Top decking Eye Beam feels so much better at 1 mana.
Well done Blizz for acting so fast. I would guess that these were problem cards from testing before DH even went live, and the nerfs were already decided on if they were needed. Everyone had their fun in the first 36 hours and now we'll hopefully see more deck variety and a meta where DH features and doesn't dominate.
I do think we've got to give the meta time to settle and I'm sure there will be counters by this time next week. I do think Galakrond armour gain warrior will be tough for DH to beat, especially the combo variety.
