Wait, wait, what the hell happened to Bomb Warrior? It's almost like the meta hasn't settled yet. Today's cancer is tomorrows crafting regret.

MatthiasL3791 posted a message on Game of Thrones is disappointingPosted in: General ChatTo be fair, 95% of this is GRRM's fault. The show runners are actually big fans and followed his material faithfully, or at least as faithfully as can be expected of tv.
Martin had no idea where he was going. If AFFC didn't convince you, and ADWD still somehow didn't convince you, consider that he has basically given up finishing the books. He had no grand master plot. He even admitted he started writing the series because he had this image of a dead wolf with a stag's antler in it's throat. That's all he had when he started.
Killing Eddard Stark was genius. But the red wedding was just dumb. He kept trying to be the shocking author by killing all his best characters, and now he is left with a mangled mess of a story. Why did I suffer so much Iron Islands crap? None of those characters mattered. Danny's entire story is filled with locations and characters that are irrelevant. She could have just flown on top of her dragons to westeros three books ago and the story would be the same.
Bottom line, Game of Thrones was a fun ride with no destination. Enjoy it for what it is, and be happy the show at least has an ending of some sort. For those of us who wasted decades of our lives on his books, an ending is a lot better than the alternative.
Edit: if you want really gritty fantasy that doesn't disappoint, read Joe Abercrombie. His books actually have plots and endings, and he is a better writer than Martin.

Easter of Secrets can be powerful though.

Just wanted to come on here and say this deck is awesome. I've always loved the mage quest, and greater arcane missiles even though it was a garbage card. Having 6 vargoths on board all casting greater arcane missiles is the best feeling I've had in years playing HS. THANK YOU!
Also shout-out to my big priest opponent who stayed till the very last missile was cast, props dude.

Bought 30 packs with gold, no pre-order for the first time ever, opened:
Golden Keeper Stelladris
Blastmaster Boom
Jepetto Joybuzz
Heistbaron Togwaggle
Which is 1 legendary short of what I was getting with around 100 packs when I'd pre-order... plus those are 4 of the legendaries I really wanted, so I'm calling that mission accomplished!

There are quite a few cards that are basically reprints of old cards (ice lance, barnes to name two off the top of my head). That might be what gives you that feeling. But, there are quite a few cards that look like a lot of fun to play with, especially in Wild, which is where I have most fun these days anyway.

So 3 card OTK combo, Mecha C'thun, Naturalize and Innervate. Skulking Geist destroys you but oh well. You already have a great control/stall shell in Druid... and this seems more unstoppable than Maly. Hemet probably better than UI to get rid of your deck.

D'oh, read it as Battlecry for some reason and thought: this card is nuts!
Now I read it as "pack filler"!

If Mech is a thing, this is going to be beastly. Flexible, threatening, good.

The excitement definitely wears off. When you're opening 100+ packs you know you'll get all the commons and almost all rares as 2-ofs, so then it's just a crap shoot of which epics and legs you get. Most of the good stuff you'll just end up crafting anyway, so I've found it to be more and more of a chore each expansion (have been opening 100+ packs each expansion since GvG).

It really really isn't.

Next expansion will be Dalaran or something like that. Probably "cast a random spell" will become a keyword, because LULZ.

Bahahaha, turn 3 swing in for 104 damage. Sorry rogue dude who probably wanted to have a fun and interactive experience... I just wanted my pack!
