I would rely on budget decks for now. Please remind the set rotation in a few months, before you craft cards that rotate out of Standard.

thecatofdoom posted a message on Imagine a hearthstone without so much aggroPosted in: General DiscussionYeah, and spend all of your time playing a computer game. You need to maximize time efficiency in everything, Hearthstone is no exception. Aggro decks provide fast games that allow you to play a larger number of games in the same amount of time and consequently climb faster. In the end, that is why the casual mode exists, so you can go play fun decks without facing opponents that want to win and rank up.

yepapapepeap posted a message on people who defend blizzard greedPosted in: General DiscussionNow and then I see people defending blizzard and their greedy actions and I am just not capable of understanding why...
not long ago games cost around 70 euro, what do they cost now? these "f2p" models cost often way way way more than 70 euro, that is if you are not contempt at either only playing the cheapest of cheap decks pretty much exclusively and otherwise get slapped around by players who have bought the competitive cards... many decks don't even work without legendary / epic cards and a legendary card has a cost around 25 euro and epics 6.25 euro
pure paladin tier 1 deck total price 138.28125 euro for 8920 dust 62.1% win rate
https://hsreplay.net/decks/DoWnmjovGhROXQb5LPBTWb/
comparing that to Cyperpunk 2077 with a cost of around 48,97 Euro (one time purchase) is it really that difficult to see that the hearthstone community is getting ripped off? 1 hearthstone deck cost 2.8x as much as the newest of the newest triple A games... and again that is just 1 deck and not even the most expensive one -

Asuryan posted a message on people who defend blizzard greedPosted in: General DiscussionI see Hearthstone as a CCG, not a video game. Coming from an MtG background, HS is incredibly cheap. I don’t get what all the fuss is about.

In reality, there are always about 4 dominating decks. The deal is, two of these four make up about 75% of the ladder right now. That's the problem.

MTG says hello.

That's what certain Card backs are used for. Cards are meant to be played with, this would only cause confusion.
Also, rarity =/= power.

Druid beats the shit out of LK anyway, either ramp or jade...

Open one. They've got your logs, so if they find faults, they'll compensate.

Except that HS community doesn't spend money on hero skins because one deck is dominant.

It's too slow, plus BGH is kind of a lost tempo against many decks. If you kill a 7+ atk jade, druid will just summon another one. The Black Knight is also better against The Lich King (also kills Primordial Drakes, Tirion, Obsidian Statue and many other high value taunts).

Here, this might help you.

Those are new iterations of previously viable decks. Nobody can come up with a totally new deck and expect a winrate of >80% overnight. It takes time for the meta to settle. Some other options are freeze mage, control paladin and evolve shaman, but they still remain too inconsistent compared to these. Jades are easy to build during the match, hence everyone plays a jade deck at the beginning of the new expansion.
So, I think we are not doomed.
Also, Kripparian complains bout the meta.

To be honest, I'd only love to see a system which makes facing the same class more than two (or three) times in a row impossible.
