Its a 0 mana 7/7. Horrible? Too Slow? Do people actually read what the card says?

posted a message on New Card - Kabal Courier (Mages, Priests, and Warlocks)

It will see play because people will actually use this thing to find out how good it is. This reminds me of when people said that reno jackson or any of the discover cards in league of explorers would never see play.

posted a message on New Card - Second-Rate Bruiser

Actually this is good card. its a 3 mana 4/5 taunt if your opponent over commits. For people who would want it to cost 1 less for each enemy minion, do we really want another thing from below?

For people who say "stats to garbage for it to be useful" Remember league of explorers? Never ever underestimate a discover card. Discover is worth three stat points, same with battlecry draw a card. It has fair stats for its cost as a neutral minion.

posted a message on Time to nerf Gadgetzan Auctioneer again

I think any more nerfs to Gadgetzan engineer would effectively kill the card and giving a card the warsong treatment is a horrendous way of nerfing cards. Why nerf a card so badly to the point it is unplayable? I don't know, I am starting to think that If players on hearthpwn had control of nerfing cards, over 50% of all cards would end up getting nerfed to oblivion and we would probably end up with a meta filled with mediocre cards that also risk getting nerfed because people complain whenever they lose to a card or a deck.

posted a message on Why The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a better game than Hearthstone

Why should people get butthurt that you enjoy elder scrolls legend more than hearthstone? If you enjoy the game more than Hearthstone than good for you. This thread seems kind of pointless.

posted a message on Is it just me or did Blizzard drop the ball about Leeroy Jenkins creating 2 x Whelps instead of 2 x Angry chickens? Nerf needed!

I think the reason why Leeroy jenkins summons whelps because it lead to a raid wipe in world of warcraft due to one of the players called Leeroy Jenkins shouting "Time's up, lets do this LEEEEEEEEROYYYYYYY JENKINSSSSSSSSSS" as he charged into a fight while his team were discussing strategies, they ran in after him in order to save him and they all ended up getting massacred by a bunch of whelps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLyOj_QD4a4. When his team scolded him, his last words were "At least I had chicken."

Not sure why can't I edit again my previous comment.

Anyway, here's a snapshot from 22 March 2013You can see that the cards are exaclty the same.

Huh never noticed that. Well judging from the teasers the next expansion is most likely going to be about gadgetzan, may as well focus on hints about the expansion through the teasers rather than the card display for the moment, the card display usually does change before the announcement of an expansion but I guess it hasn't been done yet.

Haven't these cards been displayed on their website for a very long time? I don't think there's a link with the new expansion.

Before the announcement of a big expansion blizzard change the cards displayed on their website as a hint to the next expansion. With whispers of the old gods Blizzard featured cards like mindblast, cultmaster and dark wispers as a reference to the cult theme and that the old gods are associated with madness.

I don't think its going to be a copy of gvg at all. From the fine print on the greeting card to the gadgetzan gazette it seems more like a gangster themed expansion, Gadgetzan is a very sleazy place. All of the cards feature a tribe, Gadgetzan auctioneer is a goblin, bloodlust has an ogre, Fireball has a gnome getting fireballed, Grimscale oracle is a murloc and illidan is a demon so I'm guessing these are probably the races we will see a lot in the expansion. Not sure about everyone else but I look forward to it.

You should watch Dog and Kolento. Although Kolento doesn't really talk to his viewers about his plays, he makes really smart plays. Do not ever watch Kripparrian if you want to learn how to play, in my opinion he is actually really bad at the game. If you want to learn Arena, watch Ratsmah, he is probably one of the best arena players on Twitch, but very underrated.

To be fair Kripparrian is a great arena player and he has gone 12-0 with every single class in Arena. I have seen comments bashing the guy way too often on this site. Its weird how people bash him for being salty yet most people on this site are way more salty then he is which is ironic.
For constructed my favourites are strifecro, Kolento, thijs and Disguised Toast. All of them are very smart players.

posted a message on Why People Don't Give Up Yogg?

I just saw a video by kolento playing miracle rogue in which yogg saved the mage he was playing by pulling out a doom. The effect may not be as crazy as before but sometimes yogg is still good as a last resort card because if it dies, at least you don't have to worry about it doing something negative to you after potentially clearing the board and putting you in a winning position (I had a yogg which cleared my opponents board, drew a bunch of cards, added a bunch of secrets, it then polymorphed itself, then it pyroblasted my face killing me.)

posted a message on Will the meta ever change?

Good cards will always be played. Because the basic and classic set are not rotational, the best cards in those sets that are available will see play and some classes will be substantially weaker without the core sets. I get that people may have wanted the basic and classic sets to also rotate out, but I think some people are searching for this nirvana of a balanced metagame in which you can play whatever you want with many different playable cards and different archetypes. The problem with this is that other card games have learnt the hard way that no matter what the meta is, there will always be at least one dominant deck. Its just a matter of how unstable the meta is after an expansion until the meta stabilizes and the most powerful decks are found.

As for the classic legendaries and the basic and classic set, I like to think of it like a safety net. If a new expansion absolutely fails and brings almost no playable cards, Blizzard know they at least have the classic set to fall back on.

posted a message on What do you think about the upcoming nerfs?

I just worry that Blizzard have now made it clear that if people complain about a card enough even if they are not part of the evergreen set then they will nerf it. Because it pretty much means that anything can be up for getting nerfed. The main problem I have with this is not the latest round of cards that have been nerfed by Blizzard, but rather there have been a lot of threads on this site asking for nerfs on cards that are good but are not game breaking such as Azure Drake. I am just concerned that this may lead to cards that are strong but not unfair also getting nerfed as a consequence.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Abusive Sergeant

I don’t think this change will turn down the power level of aggro at all to be honest. Just like with Leper Gnome, if the card is not good enough now because of the nerf, then aggressive decks will just replace the card with another cheap minion. People may just use lance carrier instead since that card gives a permanent +2 attack and it is still cheap enough.
