Its 80 or 50 for only a small part of the content of 1 expansion. That is too much imo. One can buy some complete games for that price on a steam summer sale. Just for the pricing alone i will not buy it no matter what position i am in with current collection/gold/dust.
Apart from the price, 4800g and 62k dust is a big buffer to sit on and should be good enough.
At first i think that too. But since you need almost 300 packs to get full content of 1 expansion (and there are many expansions now) its not really tbh.
On a completed reward track 1500 xp is only 50 gold. So 100 xp is only 3.333 gold. Thats nothing, especially if you took a break from playing.

I think they should start to give an additional wild pack in the tavern brawl reward, next to the standard pack. And make the rewards track a bit more rewarding.
Card generation is a mechanic that keeps thr game from becoming repetitive, so they lean into it often.
Sometimes they overdo it and it starts feeling like a "clown fiesta", but they usually bring it back to a more proper amount with a few card changes when that happens.
ironically considering the title of this thread, discover removed the rng that made some things just okay.
Discovering something is way stronger than rng gifts.
1st game on 0-0 a mage that discovers endlessly with the legendary mage spell. Ends up hitting my face with generated fireballs and pyroblasts, nothing you can do.
There were a lot of people against discover in the past, but somehow people forget how bad this mechanic is for the game, also for other modes. And Blizzard massively brought back discover again. In the past top players averaged on over 8 wins, right now its barely 6 wins, that tells you everything.
Arena is an absolute garbage mode right now, i was never really a fan of it, but right now its worse than ever. And i feel mandatory to do it because i dont want to waste my free tickets you get in the reward track.

Thats what Hearthstone is becoming these days, one crashing chord. Draw your entire deck, mana cheat your entire hand, and go face or easily reach overpowered win condition (with long animations so its actually kinda hard to pull off sometimes, yeah hearthstone is becoming an apm game). And whats up for the future? They do like their power creep don't they? Making decks that end the game in turn 3-5 instead of turn 6-9?
I don't like the state of the game right now, not sure if its the worst ever but its pretty bad. I don't like quest cards because they feel very single player like to either play against or to play yourself.
I agree with the OP, lets wait a bit. There is a deeper issue though.
The powercreep is going in a direction where the game will be too fast, control decks are not a thing anymore already. They can make the meta slower by nerfing everything. They can also give control more tools to survive against OTK so they are not completely helpless.
Yea agree, its in an even far more ridiculous state compared to like a year ago. Wild is sensitive to powercreep and broken super synergies. If you took a break and don't have the cards anymore for standard the powercreep will make sure you don't have the cards for wild anymore either.

You need 260 packs for an expansion, 3 expansions a year = 780 packs = 78000 gold.
3 minisets is 6000g.
Thats 84000 gold you need each year. Each Rewards Track only gives 20150 gold for a full lvl 400 completion. Its just bad in this state.

When i play tavern brawl i don't get any xp when i complete a game.
