posted a message on What to do against Resurrect Priest in Wild?

Honestly there’s very little you can do. As a returning player you will soon learn it’s the ultimate tumor for wild. You will see it daily and it pretty much ruins the game for most variants of control. Even if you tech, you aren’t guaranteed to draw and get the card off. If you haven’t gotten your tech off by turn 8 or so go ahead and concede because almost no removal or board clear will make any difference. And if you do spawn some trash for them, they can very easily win a coin flip and resurrect their taunts, and then the odds of getting more tilt back in their favor.

your best bet it to just concede or rope them every turn. Don’t allow them to play the game  as that’s practically what they do to so many classes and archetypes

No point in creating a new thread when you've got one with 50 posts open on the exact same subject

See this exactly what I’m talking about with this community. It’s not even the same person. I doubt it matters because you can just call them salty

posted a message on RNG makes this game a total waste of time

as a longtime player you should know this element has been around since the beginning

Honestly though It’s probably worse than ever. In the past there were always cards that were pure rng like unstable portal that could swing the game, but it never felt like too much. Look at rogue now, constant lackey spam until they get a nice dragon like dragonqueen, where they then get two free legendary dragons

    Quote from emkarab >>

The game is meant to be played for FUN!!!

Not for climbing the ranks, not for earning money as streamer or tournament player, not for compensating life failures with winning (ok, maybe going too far here... am I?). It can be played for all this, but it is meant as entertainment mostly.

RNG brings fun, game swings are fun, epic effects are fun. Sure, killing people with no RNG Demon Hunter is fun for many players, but you are not the only one existing here. So, many players have much fun playing Yogg-like effects and giggling maniacally. And even though RNG may disappoint them more often than not, and they may cry and get angry more often than giggle, these rare moments make them happy and make them want to play more. Tier 1 and 2 decks have healthy mix or high, medium and low RNG decks, no reason to complain.

This is definitely not the way most people play the game

People play the best deck regardless of the rng factor, and the tier 1 decks aren’t commonly based on some rng swing card. Doesn’t mean they don’t have rng in the deck but people play the most effective deck to kill the opponent. I don’t know what reality you live in but playing decks with a stupid rng win condition like yogg have been unusable in both wild and standard for a while. The aggro is too strong to try and have fun

Secret mage is not really based on rng. Tempo demon hunter is not. Face hunter is not. The people cackling are the aggro and tier 1 decks. When people get criticized for being salty here probably end up quitting and therefore help the spread of netdecks rather than originality and fun. This community regularly shits on people for having an opinion and then wonders why demon hunter, with some of the most broken cards ever, is the most successful.

This is the saltiest thread I have seen in quite some time. Wild is pretty balanced, you need to stop wasting time complaining. If you hate Priest, play Quest Mage or  Mecha'thun Warlock, if you hate Quest Mage play Demon Hunter and so on. If you hate everything then don't play.

     Hahahaha “wild is pretty balanced”

Oblivious and condescending just as expected from this community. Go back to playing your face deck

posted a message on Why is this game getting worse over time?

Despite the previous condescending posts that are par the course for this community, it doesn’t change the fact that the game is getting worse

doing anything fun anymore is pretty much dismissed as a meme deck and banished to a 10 loss streak, while the genius players here tell you decks that constantly hit face and ignore everything you do are healthy for the game.

Really the problem is the players who enjoy making people upset. They’ve killed this game over time. Check our magic or Runeterra ASAP

posted a message on Is mage oppressive in Wild?

You are going to play against secret mage and you are going to like it or go to the salt thread! Everyone but you loves to play against a deck that ignores everything your opponent does while spamming spells and battlecry cards to the face right? Right??

if you don’t like this, you need to go to the salt thread while the rest of the community makes fun of you and tells you to improve your play.

Legends of Runeterra and Magic have much healthier communities than Hearthstone. I’d recommend giving those a look

Don’t try and mention a potential problematic mechanic here. It doesn’t matter to these people

Its just full of people who get off on  talking down to you or sending you to the salt thread. I’d really recommend moving on to a new game. Let this community kill itself

posted a message on Returning to Hearthstone

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend coming back to this game regardless of what mode you you play. Especially since you enjoyed control decks.

If you try control in wild, prepare to hate this game. So many of the popular “meta decks” in wild ruin the game for anyone who liked playing a control or value oriented deck. Res priest is unwinnable, Jade Druid is unwinnable without teching geist, can’t outvalue cubelock, raza priest doesn’t care what you do because you’ll be dead from 30 life or more anyway, and I hope you iré ready for secret mages constantly spamming all their cards to the face and not interacting with your deck at all. Better run Reno and zephrys or get demolished by that or the Baku cancer demon hunters. If you survive those, good luck surviving quest mage who can take three straight turns or spam a board full of 8/8s for 0 mana

Standard is about as bad on control decks too. It’s devolved into card generator spam like lackeys or other discover mechanics. Now the rogue you are playing against can play a fast tempo deck with almost no late game and drop legendary dragons and other powerful late game cards just by playing lackeys. Don’t like that? Too bad because your next opponent is a res priest! Remember that mechanic that’s been around for years that people constantly complain about? Don’t worry it’s not unhealthy at all it’s fair and balanced.

Control is pretty much dead in either mode. The game you are coming back to is in a horrible state if you played during the launch and Naxx. Don’t let this community tell you any different. I’m sure I’ll get replies talking about how I’m salty or how I’m not playing correctly or not using the right deck, even though I’ve played since launch. The community here is dismissive of any kind of criticism towards anything and just talk down to you for it. As far as they are concerned they can play a deck like face hunter and emote spam without interacting with any of the cards in your deck while roping you every turn and then say that you are the problem and laugh at you. People in hearthstone will play these decks just to laugh at other people despite the detriment to the playerbase

I highly suggest checking out another card game like Magic or Legends of Runeterra.

     Damn OP is butthurt

Don’t worry about this or other comments OP

This community is honestly toxic and thrives off making people unhappy. When you try to criticize decks or unbalanced cards you are just directed to the salt thread or you get comments like the one above. They just live off making people unhappy.

What I recommend is moving on from here and hearthstone. Try magic or legends of runeterra and devote your time and resources there. This player base needs to be taught a lesson

posted a message on Not being able to craft adventure cards is BS

I fucking hate when there's some random f2p player complaining when they have to buy something. Like holy shit they have to make money somehow. I'm guessing OP is 13 or so cuz a normal adult can see this

Preach. Blizzard just gave a whole class that dominates the meta right now for free, yet they want more. I may not agree with a lot of things Blizzard does, but at least I'm adult enough to know that this is a business venture, not a charity.

Screw it. Let's make more unreasonable requests. I wish Blizzard would let us dust all the free uncraftable stuff they have given us over the years. #mycardsmychoice.

Truly obnoxious replies. I would expect nothing less from this community

There is nothing wrong with wanting or being able to craft individual cards from adventures. The only reason it’s not allowed is so you are forced to spend more money on the entire adventure.

I’m kinda sick of hearing the “they have to make money somehow” argument as if they don’t release three huge sets every year that require $150 or more investment just to get SOME of the cards. If you really think Blizzard needs to make more money off adventures than you are just an idiot. After a set period of time from adventure release, you should be allowed to craft the individual cards. This way people who want the adventure can buy it and play it immediately and Blizzard can make a profit from it. After a while, the cards should become available to craft.

posted a message on Serious question on randomness

It’s difficult to prove but sometimes I feel as if certain cards are skewed to produce certain options more often than others.

Priest Galakrond almost always generates the same 3-4 minions more often in both wild and standard. I’ve had it played against me, I’ve played it, and spectated enough games to see it on my friends too.

Back when unstable portal decks was a tavern brawl, I was so sure that Blizzard has changed the odds to produce crazy options more often. I saw Deathwing so much

posted a message on The problem with Shudderwock

    Some of you are delusional

Sure, it’s not a problem. Oh not at all. I guess it’s ok when a card casts battlecires nonstop and forces the other player to either sit through it for 2 minutes or exit the client. Even better when they start getting bounced and the player drops several more in a turn. Have you seen what their game board or screen looks like when this happens? It totally bugs out.

who am I kidding though this is the same community that loves to talk down to people they deem “not playing correctly” whilst directing them to a salt thread. Blizzard could print a 3 mana 8 attack charger for demon hunter and some of you would still defend them

posted a message on The state of EVERY meta, in every game...

Therefore, anyone who makes a comment about the state of the game is immediately discredited right? Because EVERYONE and EVERYWHERE it happens?

What a brilliant new way to encourage ignorance
