posted a message on How Arena Matchmaking Works in Hearthstone - Games Decided on Skill & Tracking Of A Skill Rating

What skill are they talking about, when random card generating mechanics (e. g. discover) are widely used? Remember Paveling Book? Was that game (which was an Esports event, by the way) decided by skill too? You can argue that game might be an exception, but it doesn't feel so

Good to see they realised how unlikely is the scenario when both players put him in decks

But I doubt this artificial "event" will change the fact that Nozdormu is one of the most useless cards in the game

posted a message on Rewards Track Refresh & Diamond Cards

I need some clarification: if I didn't reach lvl 50 on track by the time of release, I will get random portrait since I didn't have a chance to choose one? Or will I be able to choose it on release, when I get all other unclaimed rewards?

posted a message on Hearthstone Deep Dive Panel - New Game Mode: Mercenaries

Sometimes it feels like Hearthstone is getting a lot of unnecessary stuff, like these Mercenaries - who asked for them? And duels? I played HS since release and really enjoyed it in the begining, quit for almost 2 years, came back when DH was added, and when I logged in I was really confused because of the ammount of everything added throughout the time I wasn't playing. It felt like too much. And the same impression I get from the recent game modes. It's just my opinion, no need to downvote, because I'm not complaining: unnecessary != bad. All my friends quit HS long ago, so here is basically the only place I can talk about it. Looking forward to Classic mode though.

posted a message on Blizzard is out of ideas

I would say I mostly agree with OP. Hearthstone is suffering from the lack of variety of the decks, and it's been happening since BRM. For how many seasons dragon priest was the only playable (not even top tier) priest deck? It feels like for centuries.

At some moment Blizzard made decision to use "taking turns" balance policy: e.g. this expansion buffs some classes and other get garbage cards, next expansion situation is opposite. Ok, Blizzard, maybe it will bring some variety to meta - I thought at the begining. Now answer me: when mage was a weak class? Never. Mage always gets good minions and spells, especially removals and AoE. Remeber the Meteor? Was it so necessary for class that has loads of good spells? It's ridiculous. What about other classes? Hunter doesn't have proper AoE at all (unleash and explosive trap are pretty bad at this). How about make all classes playable and not with only one archetype?

What about arena, it's a damn lottery. It is and it always been. You can be salty about losing or you can just not buy the lottery ticket. It's your choice. Probably the most sad thing for me that happened to arena is the Standart format. Blizzard killed variety again.
