Why not just make a neutral board clear? Otherwise it just buffs classes that already have good board clears and does nothing for the classes that don't.
To be fair, Undertaker Hunter is a subsection of Hunter, whereas Shamans means the whole class, not just aggro shamans. The whole class is 20% of the meta vs. one specific decktype being 25% of the meta. There is a difference there.
I got Edwin VC, which I already had, and no legendaries in my packs. I might have gotten my second twisting nether, but I think it was just the game glitching it as a new card - I'm pretty sure I already had 2. I got a golden common and a golden rare.
Overall I got a little more than 1,000 dust. That's it.
In an ideal world where you want to help your freshmen, this feature NEED to be free. It is a nice gesture for the start, we know how hard is that.
But this is a business world and this action is simple as hell: this is the first step on the pay to win path. :/
FWIW - the game has a more-than-generous F2P model. A free pack every week from TBs, and 50 gold each day from dailies. That's well over 200 free packs each year, and a free adventure, just for playing the game. It's also difficult to maintain the P2W meme when the ladder has been dominated by cheap decks since the game launched.
A free adventure? Do you mean a free prologue to an adventure? What free adventure did I miss?
It isn't immediately obvious how to make the situation any clearer - but I'll give it a go.
Each day, Blizzard assigns menial tasks to every Hearthstone player in the world. Should a player choose to complete their assigned task, they are given a reward - "gold." It's a suggestive name, and Blizzard chose it wisely. It turns out that "gold" can be used to purchase packs and adventures - this makes it a "currency," and entirely obviates the need to spend real money. Gaining something without the need to spend real money is often called, "getting something for free." Since Blizzard is so generous, anyone wishing to "get the annual adventure for free," merely needs to begin saving their gold for a month prior to the adventure's launch. If they continue saving during the month-long release of the adventure - hey, presto! - the entire adventure is unlocked, gratis. Rinse and repeat whenever an adventure is in the offing. It's hardly a big deal, though plenty of people apparently receive some measure of satisfaction anonymously complaining about it to a community of perfect strangers.
Ahh, I see. I read free as not requiring any currency, not specifically real currency. My mistake.
Blue post today: Unfortunately, we can't provide an exact date right now. Originally. we were targeting to push this out with a patch yesterday, September 13th, but encountered some issues that prevented us from doing so. We are currently in the process of resolving said issues, and will be releasing the patch as soon as possible.
"Legendary cards included in the Welcome Bundle are not golden."
Well this means that not only the guaranteed class legendary is not golden, is also means that every other legendary u could open in these 10 packs are also definitely not golden.
Since i have already all classic class legendaries, its either cheap dust if ever needed or i dont buy this at all.
I'm pretty sure they just mean the class legendary you get can't be golden, and they just worded the fine text poorly. I don't think they are altering what can come out of a classic pack for this bundle.

And actually, I'm the one that failed! I didn't see that it guarantees a class legendary. You are only missing 2/9 of the classic class legendaries, so I would most likely have just lost $50 if I had taken that bet (and yes, I actually had to look through your collection to figure that out, and no I'm not a creeper - I'm just OCD).

Obviously intended for a mill deck.
