Your title is wrong, Hearthstone is not gambling.

posted a message on How do you deal with handlocks?

Black Knight/BGH are good additions if Handlock is super common in what you're going up against. With Shaman you've got a ton of burst via the Doomhammer and the Al'Akir +Rockbiter so you can afford to keep the the Lock at or around 16 HP and maybe force a bad Molten play. Or kill him before a Molten wall can come up.
Mulligan for Earthshock is a great idea - it's alright(Pretty meh but I'm being optimistic)  in the Zoo matchup but it's really good in the Handlock matchup and you should really want it. Vs Sylvanas/Twilight/Cairne (If he's run in the particular deck). Also, don't taunt any of your bigger minions to negate his Black Knight play, make him kill a totem or token or whatever with it. Don't give him a kill on a Drake/Elemental/Whatever else you're valuing highly.
Keeping the board as totem-y as possible is nice, making the Hellfire/Shadowflames less than great in card trading. Don't be afraid to kill a Ancient if you fear a Shadowflame might be upcoming.

posted a message on How do you deal with tilt?

Just curious, I've been totally unable to hit legend this season and am going on pretty bad tilt on my "Play days" I'll hit that rank 1-2 and then go on a serious losing streak and just go tiltfuckingwild and not make any progress. How do you deal with it? Just walk away, deck change? Scream at a computer until your voice is hoarse and the computer knows to give you better draws?

posted a message on Is Hearthstone unfriendly for new players?

This game is straight up abusive to newer players. The attrition rate for people picking up this game has to be incredibly high. It's goddamn unforgiving.
I can only imagine what it would be like to be doing this as a first timer.

Rank 5 on Zoo, it's pretty good still. I know a lot of people in the 10 and up are playing priest (Did they just discover Zetalot?) but it's not so common below right now. At least in my experience.

Just grinding away as a Zoo until legend - rank 4 right now put in about 10-12 hours over the season to so far. It's been good fun. Hitting a lot of Control Warriors and making them Sad Warriors.

posted a message on They wont nerf Hunter and Zoo because...

They're also very easy to climb a ladder if you've already hit legendary in previous seasons and don't have any ego tied up in the climb. A lot of top tier players will usually play Hunters/Lock in the early parts of a season to push into Legend earlier and get a head start on the grind, I don't mind playing the control V control matchup in the 3-Legend bracket but man, the time involved in doing control through 15-5 would be astronomical.

Plus Zoolock and Facehunter is stupidly fun to play

You should send a ticket to Blizzard support and tell them what happened. You might have to send them some identification, but you certainly won't have to lose the account.

That's what I meant by yet to be removed picture of the GOV ID two weeks ago and still nothin' so I've figured weeping is still option number one until they get to the ticket. I know Blizz is good but I don't think they employ psychics yet.

I was just about to set up mobile auth, are you saying it's not a good idea?

It's a good idea if you're not as forgetful as I am about stuff like this. In 2-3 years when you upgrade your phone don't forget!

I upgraded my phone a couple of weeks back and didn't remove the Authenticator beforehand, two weeks later it hasn't been removed from the account so I wait. The million dollar question now is, do I start a new account and reinvest a couple hundred or do I weep like a small child until the auth is removed from my original account?

posted a message on Earning 700 gold a week

I'm going to attempt to buy it all in gold - I tend to do quests daily and binge play Sunday nights. I'm sitting at about 1.5k right now so I don't think it'll be a problem but if I do miss a day or two of quests then I'll end up buying it cash side. At this stage buying packs is a pretty big waste so gold hasn't been spent over the last few weeks.

Here is something I've been working on in ladder (Rank 5-3 about a ~55% winrate so not stellar). It's using a lot of the core concepts of the Miracle/Aggro finisher of 14-18 dmg in hand around 8 mana while (trying) to keep the board locked while the combo builds up. Pretty basic rogue-y stuff but a little different from the stock and standard Miracle/Cancer rogue that is so prevalent on the ladder now. A couple of the cards that aren't usually played in the tempo, or in rogue in general and my thoughts on them.
    Acolyte of Pain
Easily my worst matchup is the druid, this guy does a little to address this but he'll force a Wraith/Swipe/Silence pretty early game. That's good for my SI:7 and Argent Squires. He's also here to help with the card out problem I've been facing, if the Leeroy/Cold Blood/Evis/Shadowstep combo doesn't come out right or needs to get used for other purposes he can sometimes help offset that less than ideal card use. I'm not sure on him though. I just don't feel like Harvests are that great with the Anub'ar Ambusher being played right next in line. I'm sure better options will come out or I'm missing something obvious but I've had a little success with this guy, I could see him being shifted to something else though. I'm just not sure what.
    Nerub'ar Weblord
This was chosen over a huge number of two drops Loot/Fairy/Haunted because it does something magic with Cold Blooded. It's also godawful annoying to deal with for paladins and priests, not super common on ladder but they're prevalent enough that this guy does work in most games. Nearly everyone runs Azure as well so being able to put him on lock for a turn or two is a solid play, as is the Leeroy burst shut down. Also this guy laughs in the face of Zoo, two of these and you will beat Zoo about the face and neck.
    Sprint
I'm having a hard time keeping a threatening hand coming into late game, and without any solid draw source (Other than the Acolyte who is temperamental) I feel like this in a 1 slot really does some work setting up the last few points of damage, but it is a hail Mary play. You can put yourself extremely back footed if this is your only play. However the number of low cost spells in the deck will usually mean you get some use out of it pretty quickly.
    Assassin's Blade
It's a lot of damage, and it plays well with the Ambusher. I think this has carried more games than anything else.
