posted a message on Fighting Dirty Shaman in Twist

I tweaked an overload Shaman deck and eliminated cards I am never thrilled to draw like "Zap".

Then I added some surprise elements:

    Shaddow Suffussion
    Bloodlust
    Cold Storage

If played 7 overload, I go for Glugg and do Shaddow Suffussion so the minions explode and do damage to enemies.

Bloodlust is there if parts of Glugg survive to hit face.

I have found that these extra win conditions surprise the Dragon Mages and weapon Rogues, then they just die.

Shaddow Suffussion is quite the board wipe/face damage.

However, I think the deck is weaker against aggro like aggro druid and probably implock.  But seems to do well against combo.

posted a message on "Battle Ready" Deck

The Druid deck has 4 legendaries.  Almost as good as a miniset.

I used 3200 gold to guy it.

    Then I dusted them.

I bought the paladin one for the same reason for 3200 gold.  I kept those.

I play mostly Battlegrounds since they won't fix wild, Battleground has nothing you can do with the gold.

We need more of those gossip threads but we should call them:

'The Schoolyard Gossip Girls' with such hits as:

-Apparently so and so is a 'bad person'... always make sure to start statements with 'apparently' in order to drive home that you have no clue what that judgment call is coming from but just enjoy tarnishing other people's reputation for the sake of it.

-He's got like 2% of his initial audience, like OW MY GAWD... like so unpopular like, 4 realz.

    Need more gossip!

Your negativity is interesting as you are doing to me the same thing that you are also claiming to be above.

There is always going to be some random normy dude like yourself making pointless snide remarks.  It is the internets.

posted a message on Solem - Back to streaming Hearthstone

I used to enjoy watching Solem every once in a while.  He played wild, he was a bit amusing.

Then he quit Hearthstone for something better, which apparently was crypto and NFTs.

On his way, he made a big deal about how much Hearthstone sucks ... like the streamers that left Hearthstone for Artifact.

    Fine, he wasn't wrong.

But now he's back making Hearthstone videos, hawking some scammy diet stuff or so I've read and supposedly Dekkster said Solem is bad person and he will never stream with Solem again.

Solem has 2% of the audience he used to have.

posted a message on Twist - What a shame ...

I've played some Twist since the nerfs and has a severe deck diversity problem.

I was probably 17-3 with Overload Shaman, and was boring and repetive with lots of Mages.

Since it will blink out of existence so frequently, I would like to be excited for next ruleset.  But the mode will vanish until the fall.

I don't think a mode that disappears half the time is going to do well?

posted a message on Top 3 Battlegrounds Tips

The first I do is look at tribes to see what wins.

I look at my hero to see what the hero can realistically achieve.  A broken consistent discover hero like Cookie or Dawngrasp with reliable triples can go for stupid invincible win conditions that even the attempt gets others killed.

With a buff hero, I am always wanting swipe minions at least 2.  Tier 4 pirate is preferred.  We'll pretend a fire elemental sort of has swipe.

Then do whatever you can to stay alive in get into final 4.

Infinityrocket ... I can't read the full username so I think it is Infinityrocketpenusguy but I can't confirm.

Anyway, Infinityrocketpenusguy is a total shill.

I would recommend suspicion when reading his or her posts (women can have a penus too, according to Google).

I think he or she is some sort of "plant" who has goals we don't fully understand, but hurt the game at large.

posted a message on Why you should boicot Twist

As players can't we all agree it would be good if the game was cheaper and it's bad when it becomes more expensive?

     No we can't agree.

The first time I made legend, my sole legendaries were Rexxar and Subject 9 in a cheap Secret Hunter.  I was free to play.

I am still free to play.  But I am legend any month I want to be.  And they give out free packs like candy now, there is no gamemode or class I couldn't field a competitive deck for if I wanted.

You cry a lot, but you aren't much of an actual player are you?  You probably mostly play other games.  Well .. that's on you.

Hearthstone Mathematics says Twist is most affordable mode of all time.

Since they announced bans to improve the mode, you should support this experience.

I get attacked in the forums for being hardcore "Hearthstone sucks" and rightly so, I've had few positive things to say about the direction of either standard (mostly, current meta is ok right now however long that lasts) or wild (meanwhile bgs has been solid).

You should support Twist.  They are doing the right things so far.

I just listened to that video, that's not what they say.

    They say:

The phoenix bundle thing (the 60 pack deal) is the best per-pack value that Blizzard has ever offered.
The $20 druid deck and the $40 phoenix bundle are very good value for money in a dollars-per-dust way.
The mode itself is very cheap at the moment because there are only a handful of viable decks and because the current rules mean no neutrals: "The current twist [is] essentially a broken version of Wild."
$60 will get you a lot of what you need until the end of the month when the mode is going to disappear for a month.
When the mode returns before the mini set it will require different cards, meaning that you should hold onto all your wild cards in case they come back into rotation years from now. On the other hand:

"We got the impression the Hearthstone team doesn't believe in Twist's success.... the developers have invested a minimum amount of effort in the new format."
...so perhaps don't count on the mode sticking around.

Their survey suggests that like 20% of the players have positive feelings about the new mode... but those are Hearthstone Mathematics fans think it's safe to assume they hate the game.
Bans particularly illustrate why you shouldn't invest in Twist. The example they use in that video you talked about is that you might spend $20 on a quest druid deck and then find that Lost in the Park is banned.

So yeah creating a few viable decks to last you until the end of the month is cheaper than keeping up with standard rotations.
But for all the obvious reasons it's very poor value for money to invest in Twist cards specifically for Twist. Looks like it could be a good gateway to starting a wild collection though.

It's cool that you're stoked for the new mode. I think it looks good, I wish I had the cards for it.

I'm free to play and I have the cards for 3 classes that I would consider playing. I won't play until the new bans take effect. I am mostly a battlegrounds player, so I have a ton of unused gold/dust. I played wild regular until the last month and refused to touch standard (although it looks ok now) due to Rogue/Lich/Mage/Demon Hunter stupidity. I prefer Shaman/Hunter/Warrior/Paladin/Priest, so yeah if the above classes are broken like most of the last 6 mo. I will not touch standard with a 10 foot pole.

posted a message on Made My First Battlegrounds Friend, do you?

Friends have been enabled for a while in bgs.  I've largely ignored it.

Then I played a game where the final 3 of us really had some great battles.  I just had to friend the last guy standing, he bullt a top notch board to counter mine.

Have you used this for battlegrounds?

    and? whats the point?

it will be the same as this "meta".

everyone is a sheep and will copy the best decks to win and fill that infinite bottomless ego meter.

Im not playing this p2w mode ever again.

I am disappointed.  You are supposed to represent chaos.  Where is your weird ass meta-buster.

ChumpHS has done several meta buster decks for Twist.

The nerfs (bans) are giving me hope.

I have not played Twist yet because I'm not going to sit there and get boned by a Demon Hunter that glides away my hand.

I can get lubed up the cornhole in wild with that if I like that.  but wild has answers too.

With the bans, it looks like Twist will be a less toxic version of wild.

posted a message on Is there ever hope that Dew Process will be nerfed or removed????

There is no hope for wild.  And on any list, Dew Process would rank about 20th as a problem card.  Sure, it's a problem but there are so many worse problems like the Demon Hunter Questline or even the Warlock Questline.

I might look at Twist after the next change that occurs in the distant future (August? September?) if the meta is decent.

Otherwise, I consider Hearthstone to be a Battlegrounds client.  They made it clear they don't want to fix Wild.  Standard keeps erupting with gross stuff and I've come to accept that any standard meta that is decent only will last 2-3 weeks and occurs about once per year.

About 2 years ago, they did balance changes regularly.  Then that guy left for a better job.

But he didn't train his replacements and they don't know how to do it and have to call the up the guy that quit and he has to walk them thru it, but he can't do it while he's at work so they have to wait until he's on vacation, so now balance changes are annual.

At least this is what I imagine what happened.

Probably what is really going is none of the Hearthstone team plays the game.
