This expansions worries me and excites me at the same time. If introducing the new class an the new design style in general works, this could be the rebirth of HS or at least extend it's lifespan a fair bit, but it has also the chance of destroying what is left of the game.

With the increasing competition in the card game market though it's a necessary move.

It's a gamble, but often ends up being wasted 3 gold that can set you behind a lot in early to midgame, where the possibility of you sometimes getting the highroll would be most benefitial. Autochess games have a huge luck factor anyway so I don't see why having a gamble card is super unhealthy for the game.

 Maiev can be played in all kinds of decks. You can remove an opponents minion for 4 mana, so that you can later kill it with AoE or removal, while also putting a body on the board, so it's great for tempo. More niche uses are removing your own minion before you wipe the whole board with Mass Hysteria or getting multiple activations from minions that have dormant. It's a very versatile card and actually has some skill cap to it, which can be rare in HS sometimes.

When priest has a top tier deck, the game is usually pretty bad. I hope the class is playable, but not top tier, unless the next top tier priest archetypes play differently than previous top tier archetypes.

Battlegrounds is the thing that made me start HS again and I have now even played standard in this expansion. It's part of the game and having more game modes is needed for the game to survive, especially since there is more and more competition in the card game genre.

I would say when the expansion launches, give it a shot. I had a 1 year break and came back in the beginning of the current expansion and played it casually and found it quite fun.

Beastmaster Leoroxx will be sick, but biggest "mistake" here is Guardian Augmerchant which is a busted 5 star card for sure

Zul'jin, Springpaw and Spirit of the Shark (tbh I loved the flavor of Rastakhan Rumble so, I'll miss the expansion), but also Tess Greymane will be a big loss.

DH powerlevel is too high, rogue won't be that great cos DH will dominate it.

It's the best neutral legendary of the set, not the best card in terms of powerlevel but very very versatile and thus will be played in almost every deck.

I got one too but won't reroll since imma play demon hunter a lot next week anyway so might keep 1 quest ready for them.

Priest is among the classes that I don't play apart from memes with copying your opponents stuff and some deathrattle stuff, so I  don't mind if it's not the best class around, BUT I would want it to be viable and decent class, with other archetypes than ress priest preferably so I wouldn't have to play against res priests. So I hope that the changes work and the class becomes decent at least, with few viable archetypes. Maybe some buff/tempo stuff with the new expansion?

If you play and do your daily quests consistently you would have earned a lot more in that time period so I am honestly not sad that I won't be getting a new deck even though I came back after a year or so break in the beginning of the current expansion. It's a good way to try to get more people playing the game again which benefits everyone playing.

If I had a bit more money to spare or interest I would buy the pre order, but with the gold I have and the dust I have, I'll rather just wait to see how the cards play out and then craft the good stuff and some of the meme stuff I want for the classes I mainly play. If the expansion is really good, I will put some money into the packs later.
