Sawovsky posted a message on Everyone is crying about stale meta and Combo Druid/Secret Paladin...Posted in: General DiscussionAnd yet every-fucking-one is playing a netdeck on ladder.
It makes me really really sad to see how many people that play Hearthstone don't actually like to play cards games but play only to win. First single reason why anyone should like card games is because he likes to tinker around cards, think about his current card pool and try and make some cool deck which he can call his.
It is not the meta that is stale, people are meta, and people are just lazy and don't play to enjoy. And this is not about "timmy/spike/johnny" , I refuse to call anyone that netdeck "a competitive player", true competitive player would spend days and weeks to make his own perfect deck, and would not just c/p meta snap shot top tier shit, which "he knows" that is top tier because someone told him so.
Ubiquitous netdeck culture is really hurting Hearthstone experience for evreryone.

Dreams4Lyfe posted a message on Halfway into WOG. What's your rating?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from furiousferret >>I can't stress this enough, but none of these slower cards are going to be played unless defensive tools are added. You can't just slow down the meta by flooding it with slow cards; it still needs support cards to mitigate damage in the early game.
Right now, even with nerfs to Flame Juggler and Leper Gnome, aggro will be in a better spot than it is now.
I'm sorry but "nerf" and Flame Juggler in the same sentence?? Did you perhaps mean Knife juggler? -

Ohaiguy posted a message on Halfway into WOG. What's your rating?Posted in: General DiscussionI'd go for about a 8/10 right now. Has some cool cards I want to try. Has some dud cards that I don't really care about. Generally feeling pretty good about what I've seen so far. Very happy that C'thun will be a thing I can play regardless of how lucky I am with packs :)

Griffin404 posted a message on Halfway into WOG. What's your rating?Posted in: General Discussion8/10 - I'm pretty hyped but it's hard to tell exactly why that is, there's just so much changing with HS right now.
- Naxx and GvG are leaving
- meaning a drop in power level and more freedom to get creative, while still being competitive :D
- The developers are clearly changing their design ethos
- Neutrals are, as a rule, weaker than class cards and will almost never be auto-include
- Neutral legendaries are generally build around, so they're also not auto-include
- New cards!
- The game has been stale for ages now...
I think the best part is that the new cards have followed the design changes I talked about, if this continues I'll likely maintain that 8/10.
- Naxx and GvG are leaving

- I also like that the new cards are pushing new types of decks in their relevant classes
- The cards are balanced and dont promote aggressive board stickiness
- Most cards that have a big board impact are late game cards
- Love the flavour of the set (especially the introduction of toxins in rogue)
- I dont like that some cards are overcosted compared to other similar cards of the same set
- No damage miigation cards in the classes that need it
- Some cards are too fair and so far I dont see the reason

Im at the far end of the Hearthstone spectrum. I buy many packs because I need the dust to craft all the golden cards I need. I LOVE GOOOOOOOLD. THE LOOK OF IT, THE SMELL OF IT, THE TEXTURE!!

I know I am an eternal optimist and 8/10 might be a bit over the top, but I'm surprised by the overall low scores. But I respect all opinions and welcome the discussions!
We all know they want to slow down the meta, but I think the biggest way this is going to show is when Nax and GvG rotate out, on top of the nerfs that will probably be aimed mostly towards aggro cards. Add to the mix all the "slower" cards they add with WOG, I think we will see a slower meta. For sure it wont be a "control only" meta, but except zoo, I don't see that many aggro decks being that dominant.
Then again, it's all speculative at this point :)

So it looks like there have been 67 cards revealed so far out of 134. We're exactly halfway through the new expansion. How would you rate WOG out of 10 so far?
I'll give it a 8/10 for a few reason.
- Cards pushing towards new types of decks.
- Flavor of the set so far is awesome
- Very little "totally unplayable" cards so far (In my opinion of course)
- Many AWESOME cards revealed, plain and simple.
- Not a lot of cards pushing aggro decks
Cheers!

NO need to push it. Kibler is too awesome to lose.

Crafted him gold when released and used him in a bunch of decks. I think he really shines in slower control decks. Also works in Reno decks. If you can get 1 activation from him it's usually worth the trouble. More than that you should be winning.
Hopefully he fits into even more decks when GvG and Nax roll out of STD
