They haven't nerfed Patron warrior for sales purposes. Other then that don't go around calling people idiots, it just makes your points weaker and makes you look like an asshole.

Rava posted a message on Does Ben Brode know what he's doing?Posted in: General DiscussionBlizzard has a notorious record of bad balancing with most of their games, most of times it's just a fase and it will pass. Don't like the way ladder functions at the moment? Play some arena or a different game. Gaming is supposed to be fun and it has no use sitting behind your desk being angry about some card on the internet being changed.
Also it wouldn't mind if you just would sit down and take a breather.

Sherman1986 posted a message on Is it bad that it took me six seasosn to get rank 10?Posted in: General DiscussionI joined hearthstone April 2015 and have been playing ever since. For the first three months i never played ladder so only managed like rank 17-18 area. But these past few months i really have been grinding and midway through i got to rank 10, first time ever. Is this bad that it took me so long or is this not too unreasonable? Also what are some decks that work well in the rank 10 area? I got secret paladin to rank 10 but it doesnt seem that strong atm, so i was wondering is there a better deck out there(other than face hunter, never playing that piece of shit deck.
So, you play Secret Paladin, the most hated deck in the current meta by far, and you call Face Hunter "piece of shit deck". WOW, just WOW.

The6thDangerZone posted a message on Warsong commander got nerfed because it can't be disenchanted for dust.Posted in: General DiscussionAre you serious? Warsong Commander got nerfed because Blizzard didn't want to admit it screwed the pooch with Grim Patron.
Grim patron wasn't the issue, Beserker was, grim patron with charge on its own was troublesome yes, but manageable. The issue was you could "PILE ON!" and then your beserker is big, then you whirlwind and kill someone in one turn with a 32/3. The deck would still be good if they'd have just made Warsong an aura effect, but it wouldn't be nearly as oppressive as it was.

RegalSmeagol posted a message on Current meta is wierd. But good.Posted in: General DiscussionWhat I don't understand is that most people who complain about cancer decks are upset that people are using synergies and optimized decks. I get annoyed loosing quickly to aggro or getting around a mysterious challenger only to run into dr balanced, but that's part of the game, everyone is coming up with decks that work, and then they share them on hearthpwn and people copy it because it works, isn't that how this works?

Mesmerizeer posted a message on How does Mad Scientist choose secrets?Posted in: Card DiscussionAs a Mad Scientist, choosing among secrets during his (or maybe her, we don't know for sure; but let just assume it's a "he") death hour is no simple task. If we really want to understand this, we need to go back to the origins of "The Mad Scientist".
You see, before being "Da Mad Scientist", as Warchief Vol'jin always calls him, the scientist was actually a druidism practitioner. Not a Druid, mind you, but he had had as much knowledge to commune with nature as any druid (aside from the Archdruid Malfurion, of course). Why he became a druidism practitioner is a mystery lost into the river of time, but some said that it had something to do with him being born in the hostile territory of Razorfen Down but was later rescued by a venturing shaman, and was then secreted from Thunder Bluff to the Moonglade for his own safety.
He was a human, and as such, had as much human nature as had any others. One of the characteristics for humans, unfortunately, was curiosity. Archdruid Hamuul of the Runetotem tribe had warned him of the dangers to venture into the Emerald Dream with "only the endurance of a mere human". This was one of the moments, as Hamuul noted in his own memoir, that he wished dearly he hadn't said those words. The then-human will not be swayed, being called "a mere human", and entered the Emerald Dream. His mind were immediately scattered to the four corners in this green realm, and would have never returned had it not been for the kindhearted Druid friends that searched for him in the Emerald Dream and took care of his physical form for three months. Although the broken pieces of his mind were retrieved and restored back to his body, he was never the same again. Night and day he proclaimed the return of Deathwing, the Sundering of Azeroth, and the dark fate all beings will endure, a fate brought by a son that should never have been. Cursed with the visions of these dire events, him mind slowly slipped into madness, until one day he murdered the very druid that brought him back from the Emerald Dream. Pained, Malfurion cast him out and sent him away through the Furbolg Hold.
He would have died in the Felwood had it not been a Forsaken guard patrolling the area scoped up his remains after killing an Ooze near the outpost. No. He indeed died, but was then brought back to Lordaeron and revived by the valkyr serving Lady Sylvanas. Being an undead helped him cope with the fear that was brought on by the dire visions that still haunted him even after his death. He served as a herbalist under the Dark Lady and was granted permission to make researches in the library after he shared the knowledge of the dire events with her. The reasons Sylvanas chose to believe him is only known to herself, I am afraid, but the record told of the meetings of him with the lady, and after hearing the recital, the lady immediately ordered him to be relieved from the post of herbalist and to start a research on an ancient spellbook found in Northrend. The research led the then-herbalist to an expedition to Northrend and to retrieve the missing pages of that very spellbook, believed to be created by Kel'thuzad himself, as one of the many legacy left behind by the lich.
Before the journey, the Dark Lady's parting words were not without emotions. "Go and return swiftly. Your mission is of grave importance to the coming events. In Northrend, you may come across the Lichking, once known as a man named Bolvar. Ware him. Even under my command, you are a free man. Adhere to your will, and your mission. Never forget." With the aid of the forsaken guards, he entered the Zigarrut's inner laboratory. There he found not only the lost pages of the spellbook, but also a journal detailing the meetings of Kel'thuzad and the Lichking. Adhering to the plan, he packed up everything he found, and was about to leave the Zigarrut when the Lichking stormed in and stopped the party on its track. Facing the Lichking, he once again experienced fear that is not immune even to an undead. The Lichking, however, did not come to kill, but ordered him to never return to the Dark Lady again. "An enchantment is laid upon thee. Return to the Lady, and thou shalt experience fear that makes thee regret being brought back to this world again."
He would have complied, except he still wanted to retrieve the spellbook that was left in the city of Lordaeron, believing the book to be the final answer to the dire visions he had had since the Emerald Dream. That was his purpose, his destiny. After returning to the Undercity of Lordaeron with the expedition crew, he sneaked back into his own quarter and retrieved the spellbook, but on his way to escape he was met with a pursuit led by none other than the Dark Lady herself. At that moment the enchantment by the Lichking triggered, rendering him senseless, mindlessly writhing on the ground. He was brought back and tortured for three months for his disobedience. Night and day he was assaulted by the screech of three banshees, rending away his mind bit by bit.
At one night, he heard words from the Lichking, words he thought he had not heard back when he was in Northrend. "When you had had enough, unleash the enchantment." He had no idea what that means, but the screeching of the banshees was driving him mad, so he uttered a single word, "enough." The weak sound was drowned by the maddening screech, but a blue ball of energy formed in front of him and slammed into the banshees, allowing him to escape. On his flight he came across that very spellbook, so he picked it up, and escaped with only the book and the clothes on his back.
He fled across the continent, evading members of the alliance and horde alike. He studied the book, and was very curious of the last page, with unreadable signs and only a single line, "Learn, and the secret shall be revealed". So he studied. Time and time again the pursuit came close to getting him, but he escaped every time. This solidified his believe that he was destined to save this world, not as a druid practitioner, nor a herbalist, nor a servant of the Dark Lady. He became a scientist, for the spellbook contained deep knowledge of arcane magic mixed with alchemy.
After years of flight and study, he finally mastered the way of the experiment, the spells to perform. And yet the signs remained unreadable. He believed the secret will be revealed once the experiment is carried out, and yet he did not perform it, for the book also spoke of death. Nevertheless, he steeled his resolve, made preparation, and carried out the experiment deep in a vault within a crypt in Duskwood. The process was complicated, the involved ingredients many. When the final step was completed, the unreadable signs started to glow in green and slithered around, forming words the Scientist shall never forget.
"Put a Secret from your deck into the battlefield. You may die now.
You do realize you are but a pawn in a game of Hearthstone, right?"
This finally drove him mad. The green glow engulfed him, and he died screaming and chattering, his words unclear. The screech of the banshees pales in comparison to the deathrattle of the Mad Scientist.

It certainly feels like it's too good sometimes. I was playing Control Warrior all last season and pretty much every time it was cast against me it drew 3-6 cards and felt like the world's biggest beating. I've been playing Paladin this season though, since it's actually pretty good and if I ever want to actually beat Paladins I should probably understand how they work. My experience has been that sometimes you draw a million and feel like a champion, and other times you spend three mana to draw a card, which feels significantly worse. It's prooooobably not broken, but the swing in how good it is makes it feel like it is half the time.

I'd be curious to know one way or the other too, though I have to say that it's hard to find evidence that's useful for a conversation like this. Pretty much anything any of us could supply (like your ranking of friends' accounts) is pretty much useless since there are a wide variety of factors that come into play, probably the biggest one being that not everyone that has the Legend card back uses it.
My situation sounds similar to yours in that I've been legend before but I don't do it every season. I've laddered to rank 5 this season and while I'll admit to not paying as close attention as I could I do usually notice Legend card backs and in the 70ish games I've played since the season began I can remember seeing around 5. Maybe it's been more, but who knows. Mostly I just see that pink monstrosity from last season.
1
Well there are always more people getting to legend, but also there's that little thing where every season resets so the legend players also have to grind back up the ranks. It's not like they get to just hop back in because they got to legend.

I think I actually saw someone playing it in a Mage deck with all the flashy spells. They managed to turn an Arcane Missiles into and Avenging Wrath which was pretty cool haha. I mean they could have just played Malygos but where's the fun in that?

Druid has been doing really well for me against them even if they curve out. All you really need is a swipe and an innervate into anything up curve. I know that's asking for a lot but you did ask for how to beat their perfect draw so I figured it was only fair to assume I got mine. I've been having success with Warrior as well, provided I get a weapon and a minion I can play in the early turns. Tempo Mage seems to have a pretty good counter curve as well.
That's my experience though.

To be fair Dalaran Aspirant would probably be one of the best 2-drops in the game if it were actually, you know, a 2-drop XD.
2
Not to rehash an old argument, but the minibot is a class card and those do tend to be better than their neutral counterparts.
1
I forgot Haunted Creeper which would have to be up there as well. An argument could be made for Mechwarper as well, since it's one of the few 2-drops to be the backbone of an entire archetype of decks.

I mean, I don't disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure Life Tap is the reason handlock is favored against anything. Otherwise the deck sort of sucks. Actually, I feel like Life Tap is the reason any variety of Warlock is favored against anything.

Nexus-Champion Saraad because as it turns out there are very few spells in the game that are bad when you don't actually have to put them in your deck. And there's just something super fun about it.
