posted a message on [POLL]Will BGH still be strong if Dr.Boom gets nerfed?

Of note as well is that it was never truly a dead card, so playing it wasn't that much of a downside. It was really quite terrible against the midrange decks of the time, but it was also a three drop that slow decks could play that traded with any version of Animal Companion, which was pretty important at the time.

posted a message on It seems we need 40 card decks after BRM

The premise of your entire argument throughout this thread seems to be that the existence of a competitive mill strategy is fundamentally a bad thing. I completely disagree with this idea. Mill strategies are an interesting and different way to play the game, and that's not bad. If lack of interaction is your complaint then perhaps you'd like to address decks like Face Hunter, Oil Rogue, or Freeze Mage? All of those strategies are more viable than any mill strategy that has popped up. The only real difference is the angle of attack. Although it is fair to say that your idea would more or less destroy the last two of those decks, since they rely on a very specific set of cards to function and adding more cards could only make them worse.

As to your other point, I watched several hours of streams with mill Rogue specifically over the last few days and I can count the number of times they beat aggro decks on one hand. Mill strategies have inherent issues with aggressive decks, because they rely on the game going long and half of their strategy involves giving the aggro deck more cards, all of which are designed specifically to kill you. A deck archetype that is kept in check by some of the most played strategies in the game is not going to be broken.

posted a message on Slow meta ? Did it ever happen?

As long as there is a viable aggro deck at all people are going to complain about how fast the format is. I'd say the format right now is pretty slow. Face Hunter is really the only deck that kills you quick, with Tempo Mage decks starting to push out some of the Mech. At least, that's how it seems when I play.

posted a message on LEAST annoying class?

For me personally it's probably Warlock. With the downtick in Zoolock decks their hero power has become more of a central mechanic, as in Handlock and Demonlock, and less of a never ending source of card advantage. In the Zoo days it was hard to compete because they could draw two cards a turn and all their cards did the same thing. Handlock and Demonlock are pretty specialized and run a boatload of tech cards, so even when you're behind on cards you might not be as far behind as you feel. I enjoy playing against Warlock now, certainly more than any other class.

posted a message on Grim patron, cobra interaction

Hearthstone has a long history of letting effects resolve before death triggers. They've made it pretty clear by now that dying is the last thing that happens in a sequence (with the exception of triggers that rely on something dying, like Cultmaster). Every enrage minion works this way. You can always see them get buffed before they die, and this is no different.

It might help to think about it this way: the damage and the death aren't actually connected. The damage happens, which meets a condition for something else to happen. In the case of Grim Guzzler, it meets the condition for two different abilities to trigger.

Grim Guzzler: Did the minion take damage and survive that damage? Yes. Make a dude.

Cobra: Did a minion take damage from Cobra? Yes. Kill it with this triggered ability.

Those things check after damage takes place. Another way to think of it would be in the order of Damage > Damage Based Effects > Death

I have spent 0€ on hearthstone, but still got nearly all cards and got Top 100 Legend nearly every season :D

    Greetings

I've spent 0 of a lot of kinds of currency on this game too.  Not all of them of course, but a lot.

You have the power to complete this quest. Believe in yourself. You can add me if it will help, though remember that if you do I'll probably spectate you from time to time. You don't have to talk to me, but I'll be watching.

Look to the left for the tag.

posted a message on Craft Pryority 4 Epics or 1 Legendary?

I'd focus on the Epics you need for now, unless you plan on opening a lot of packs at some point in the near future. Legendaries are often replaceable in some fashion (some more than others of course), but epics are usually not as they take up more card slots. In the case of Vol'Jin for example, Amaz, a popular streamer known for his Priest play, has said on more than one occasion that you could replace it with just about any five drop, so like a belcher or loatheb for example.

posted a message on What do i need to craft next?

I'd advocate Harrison as he can fit into the widest variety of decks, but I would also recommend maybe waiting until May unless the dust is burning a hole in your pocket. The BRM cards might cause a serious shift in the meta, and at that point the value of any of these could go up or down.

posted a message on Why did they limit the Dragon archetype to Paladins?

That more or less sums up my feelings on the dragon tribe as of BRM as well. I think the idea that they need to be a deck in the same way Murlocs, Mechs, or Pirates are is narrow thinking. Although what it might allow, and what I think would be very cool, is a midrange or control tribal deck. Tribal decks so far have been pretty much exclusively aggro, and dragons has the chance to change that.

It's worth remembering, as always, that these cards don't exist in isolation. The kinds of mechs they print are certainly going to be informed by Mechwarper and its ilk, but dragons fit a somewhat different role, and the dragons they print moving forward could offer some much more interesting interactions. Overall, I feel that the dragon cards printed in BRM allow for more creativity moving forward, even if they aren't necessarily what everyone was hoping they would be right now.

Well if it makes you feel any better, there's a pretty decent chance Dragon Consort isn't good enough to make a dragon deck viable either, so it might not matter at all.
