BravoTeam posted a message on Cards you hate that aren’t broken.Posted in: General DiscussionWandmaker - I just hate when they get the perfect card off of it.
Imprisoned Phoenix - I hate that they get 0 mana +2 Spell Damage on one of their turns. Feels super uninteractive, even if people don't seem to often do busted things with it.
Primordial Studies - No one ever seems to pull bad cards off of it. Makes Imprisoned Phoenix very often.
Ras Frostwhisper - I don't know if I just don't play around it well, but I get wrecked by it every time it hits the enemy's board.
Lady Liadrin - A lot of games go down to "Well, if they don't draw Liadrin I can win, if they draw it they win". One of the players feels bad because of this card.
Celestial Alignment - Sort of the same logic. Either they can play it fast and you can't win, or they can't play it fast and they can't win. Doesn't make for fun games either way.
Varden Dawngrasp - You don't see this card played a lot, but I find something about their play sound really, really irritating.

Hand of A'dal, First Day of School - sick of those two, usually played in succession.
Spirit Jailer - how many more times will I see this played?

I can’t stand this card. Mostly because I’m playing token druid right now. Slap this on an empty board and you instantly win vs a token druid. No cards in that deck can kill it and all but 2 trigger it’s effect and anything that they do summon likely dies to your free minions. I’ve been having a run of seeing this card every time I’m about to go up a rank and it just makes me sad.Far Watch Post
This card was busted before the nerf but now it seems fair. That said when your opponent coins this out on turn one and you can’t kill it. It’s a bad feeling.Strongman
i see this card a lot against control lock and corrupt druid. It sucks getting an opponent near death and seeing 2 of these guys slapped on the board for free. In this meta it’s not really busted because it’s so slow. If the meta ever shifts though I wonder if it has the potential to be problematic. Regardless I wouldn’t mind a slower meta, not a fan of aggro metas.Gibberling
The irony of hating this card and playing token druid. This card is singlehandedly responsible for some of my most dirty wins. Sometimes it just makes me want to take a shower.Illidari StudiesandDouble Jump
i hate these 2 cards for the same reason. Demonhunter outcast shenanigans for days in their aggro decks drives me nuts. -

ADXE posted a message on Nerf ideasPosted in: Standard FormatQuote from sPacEtiMe19 >>Tickatus is fine. It really shows that people don’t truly understand the game thinking he is why warlock destroys control and not jaraxxus. It’s 100% tied to “it feels bad having your cards destroyed.” He is beyond dead in the aggro matchup, and that’s a big enough weakness.
Lunacy is completely fine now. It’s VERY slow to cast it into the hunter/Paladin matchup now.
Your proposed change to Oh My Yogg has many situations where it actually makes it better. Sometimes it results in a spell that helps you. This just gives the Paladin even more tempo.
All of your proposed changes leads me to believe that you mostly play “do nothing” decks, as every card you want changed is very strong into do nothing decks, such as priest or warrior.
I think it’s good that there are checks and balances to people who build decks that do nothing proactive. That should be punishable. If you want to build a deck that contains 90% reactive cards, expect to get punished by certain decks. Tickatus and DoL are very healthy for the game.
No. Tickatus destroys any other type of control deck. Jaraxxus does not. Jaraxxus prolongs the game. Tickatus gets rid of 10 cards.
There is no hard counter to Tickatus. Play aggro is not a hard counter. Think about all of the cards including just released Barrens cards that you will not be playing because of Tickatus.
That's right. All of those big dragons. Nope. There are literally 3 decks you can play, none of them because of Jaraxxus. All because of Tickatus.
Edit: Tickatus should be 9 mana. If at 9 mana nobody ever plays it then it should be in it's right place, as a finisher or discolock. Nothing else. I doubt the real intension was for it to be discard 10 cards at 6 mana. And if so someone was off their rocker.

What a joke. Waiting weeks for 'data' to make nerfs has always been a weak point on Blizzard's side.

Read his comment please. As he said; it's about player feel, not just the % people seem to care so much about. I don't see Tickatus commonly anymore and that makes me so happy. I just concede every Warlock game the moment Tickatus comes down and move on with my control decks. But that doesn't mean the card isn't a problem for a healthy control meta.

Conviction and other cards didn't even get touched. What a failure of a patch after waiting for so many weeks.

2 weeks? What are they waiting for ffs?

Oh boy more Tickatus

You can't talk about how people don't understand the game when you argue Tickatus gets kept in check because of aggro. That's not a real counter for control decks; in a healthy meta you'd have aggro-control-combo but since Tickatus is both the best control and combo deck and counter, it only loses to aggro. The card solely makes people create more aggro and there you go; unhealthy and annoying meta.
If the card was fine, they'd print a neutral counter for control decks to run that basically removes Tickatus from play. It's not; it pushes the meta in a bad direction and prevents cool decks and cards from being playable.

Probably around 300 euros in 2014-2015, not really anything except when they do some crazy (cheap) deal. Always regretted spending the money afterwards too. Haven't invested anything after losing faith in the company with cards like Tickatus or the current meta confirming that belief. Don't feel like it's necessary with the current reward system either.

This is such a common but flawed reply which makes the problem persists longer than should have been healthy.
What does it matter if some aggro decks can beat Tickatus? The card itself is uninteractive and stifles the meta so hard. Why can't people play cool control decks with cards such as C'thun? Because of Tickatus. The card is just unhealthy for the game in so many ways. I don't get how some people can't see that.

Nerf Tickatus so control is fun again or give viable counters, please...
