living roots, wrath, innervate, earthen all early game. and u got taunts to back u up later

Yes, living roots is a 1 mana card that can be played, but what is its purpose in this deck? This isn't a token deck, there are no buffs to give the tokens. If it's to dish out 2 damage, then on what? It works great vs Knife Juggler, otherwise not so much. Warrior's Acolyte can take it, Paladin's Shielded Minibot or buffed Jouster can take it, Priest's Cleric and Whelp can take it, etc.

Earthen, I feel, is better suited for extending the stickiness of your meatier cards later on in the match. The only thing an Earthen is healing on turn 3 is maybe your own face.

Wrath and Innervate are solid cards, no argument there.

Are you saying you've been doing well with this deck? Which ranks? What kind of decks are you mostly going against and doing well on?

Edit: And I'll clarify that I'm sure this deck can perform fine among many ranks, but the title specifically says "Legend". Too much luck is required, in my opinion, where as most other Legend decks use pretty reliable gimmicks.

Alright, I've got to say it. I don't understand where all the praise for this deck is coming from. OP apparently isn't playing in the US region so maybe that has something to do with it, but I find that hard to believe as well.

I decided to craft Cenarius to play this deck, as it was the only card I was missing, and although it became clear early on that I wasn't going to get anywhere with this deck I went ahead and played enough games to fall from rank 4 to rank 8 (it's the end of the season anyway and I wanted to use my Cenarius).

If you don't draw essentially every early game card your deck has from the get go then you get crushed almost immediately. And look at the early game that you do have: what does Living Roots ever succeed in doing? Big Game Hunter isn't actually an early game card, nor is Recombobulator. And if you don't recombobulate your Darnassus Aspirant immediately then you better believe your opponent will remove it on their turn. Playing the Aspirant and recombobulating it all in the same turn would take you 4 mana. So what DOESN'T cost 4+ in this deck? Nothing worth doing.

And that's if things go "well". Half of your games will be spent staring at your life total going down while you hold 6+ mana cost cards.

With all of that said, I'd happily embrace a guide or some videos showing how to properly play this deck. I'm sincerely surprised by the amount of universal acclaim this list has gotten while I've simultaneously gotten such terrible results with it.

Rank 4 oil rogue here, hope that's close enough to qualify speaking to you: Warrior is easily Oil's worst matchup. It's widely known, even if I didn't know from personal experience. If you consistently lose to Oil while playing Control Warrior then you're doing it wrong.

This deck is working very well for me. Biggest obstacle seems to be against aggro, but even then I typically don't lose by much. I wouldn't suggest changing this deck to counter aggro, though, as it would make your matchups against other deck types more difficult. No one deck can beat everything (unless you're zoo).

Ancient of War has been working fine for me (Rank 8 atm), but I'm sure Cenarius would be better... Only card I don't have for this deck. He typically comes out, for me anyway, after my opponent has used plenty of their removal options, which tends to make him a bigger hassle. Either way, I essentially only use the card to buy me time.

This deck is indeed fun to play, but it's pretty obvious that its success stems from the fact that no one has any idea what you're playing... Haha
