I am also a consistent wild player. Usually end at around rank 9, best I ever did was rank 4 with renolock. This month, I've been straying away from wild and playing more standard. Currently Rank 12 in wild and rank 12 in standard. Big priest is a very frustrating deck to play against. That I have to agree on. It takes a certain skill set, patience and some luck to beat the deck. It's very strong, but, statistically not very strong. Any player who has ever played against it will agree with me that stats dont tell the full truth. The resurrect onslaught can be overwhelming. Katrina, mass resurrect, lesser spellstone, resurrect, eternal servitude, and some new cards from Uldum make it tough. even control warriors cant deal with all of that. It used to be a polymorph or hex and a sylvanas so it can be stopped, but now the deck as evolved. I've been playing alot of new wild decks but, I always stop and go back to standard once the dreaded priest is matched against me, lose everytime. Tough deck to beat, easy deck to pilot. Maybe I'll make a new version for this season and try to top my best rank ever (4) . If not going to odd pally or secret mage

(Image below)I wish when people post "evidence" for a claim, they would actually bother to read it first.
53% WinRate?
So OP, y'alll! (Look up Zoolock. I think you're going to spit your milk if 53% WR concerns you that much...)
< 35% against Control Warrior?!
There's your answer right there. Tell me again how good Rogue is? (Hint: It's not...)Sigh... Rogue is fine. Nothing to see here. Moving on...
Learn to read numbers , people are forced to play sleep warrior because of how oppressive rogue is against everything.
Learn to read words. I listed the numbers righ there in my post.
Sreiously... "it's like living with a group of Germans...."
he's right though, you just took the average winrate. Meanwhile the most popular Tempo Rogue list actually has a 56% winrate, while the overall highest winrate list is at 60% while having above 50% winrates against literally every single other deck in the meta except the 3 control Warrior decks.
So yeah, Rogue is not fine, it's about as fine as Even Paladin and Cubelock where at the start of Witchwood

Tuscarora87 posted a message on What's the logic of blizzard for buffing wild big priest?Posted in: General DiscussionA lot of people have misconceptions about Big Priest and Wild. Right now, Wild is the most diverse and balanced then ever. Of course, it's tough, strong and swingy, but if you go wild, you go to war, not to ballet.
It's not for fainthearted, but in reality it's a lie that people die there from op, broken and unfair stuff. Because, everything is strong, your deck is as strong as your opponent's (all just feels somewhat faster and swingy). Deck relations are tuned up. Of course, you'll die if you bring some shit homebrew or Standard deck, but... even with a Standard deck you can reach ranks 10 and 5! Just today, a Gallery Priest guy destroyed me at rank 6. ...What I wanted to say, you cannot shit on Wild if you constantly lose there with Heallock. Heallock is too slow for Wild.
Now, back to Big Priest. As I said Wild is in a good shape right now (no naga, old kingsbane, aligners, toned down even shaman and odd rouge...), but I will admit highrolling Big Priest is a little annoyance. But, just an annoyance. The deck is tier 2 and is good only with early Barnes, otherwise it's a slow or even shit deck.
Even with an early Barnes, just Sap the product, or Hex it, sometimes ignore it, and it's game over. Many cheap and off-meta decks shits on Big Priest: burn decks like exodia, freeze and other mages; most aggro decks, aggro mech hunter, shaman... Aggro Kingsbane obliterates them. Devolve, hex, pollymorphe... Today 10 games vs. Priest. All 9 vs. Big Priest won, lost one vs. Normal Dragon Priest. Just mulligan Sap and you are fine.
I would still like Barnes get hit by a nerf, the last annoyance, just that people become less afraid of Wild, which is just an additional meta and fun playground. I think, they'll do it at some point, even if they cannot be that happy if more people go Wild (with time, maintaining resources can become much cheaper).
Wild is best experienced if you don't care about ranking. Until rank 15, games are very easy (don' let those few noob stompers at rank 25 discourage you) (some players and bots at the lowest Wild ranks are some of the worst I've ever seen, worse then at rank 50 - Standard). Ranks 15 - 10 are the most fun and versatile. People there play all kinds of decks. Even going towards rank 5, it's 65% full meta vs. 35% mid tier decks. Remember, off-meta kills specific meta decks which is very satisfactory. Most off-meta decks aren't even documented and thus always a surprise. Casual is also fun. Playing competativly or for fun, everybody can find a place. There's around 20 meta and 30 known off-meta decks which you can copy from streamers, better then in Standard. It's very hypocritical to talk against Wild, while right now there isn't anything similar there like what we had in Standard: Giggling Quest Rouge, pre nerfed domination of Cube Warlock, Hadronox and unbreachable walls of taunts, uninteractive otk's. Partially because, in Wild there are lot of interactive tools. The truth is both formats can be fun. Wild isn't worse then Standard.
Looking at these new Priest cards, they are of no good use to Big Priest. He already has the late game, he's weak early, when only highrolling Barnes keeps him afloat. If you let him do things he likes doing from mid and post mid-game, he earned it.

KravorHS posted a message on Choose Your Champion Packs Have Arrived!Posted in: NewsThis is really frustrating, Blizzard is an EU company, yet EU always gets shafted, whether it's the pricing for packs or delays. Even expansion launch times are stupid, with America getting access from 10am whilst EU has to wait 8 HOURS.

oyabun posted a message on Tech for Even Shaman/Big Priest?Posted in: Wild FormatI'm playing kingsbane rogue and it destroys big priest even with barnes t4. I have like 90% winrate vs it. It also destroys cubelock. However odd paladin, secret mage and even shaman stomp my face.
You can play even warlock to beat even shaman with one shadowflame, you wipe their whole board with it. -

iandakar posted a message on How to spend 1000 gold?Posted in: General DiscussionArena 100%
NO!, NO NO!
Player is #($)#0 WEEKS OLD! Chances are, they aren't netting 4+ wins in arena. I'm not even sure they have even PLAYED arena yet beyond maybe that free one.
Arena is a great place for free 2 play accounts..AFTER they know enough about the game win about half the time (which results in you getting about 3-4 wins on average in arena) Once you think you can do that then yes, that gold SHOULD be arena bound.
Right now, they need Classic packs. They need a foundation of the game as a whole.
I'll say this:
1. Get your classic Legendary if you didn't already already find one. It'll show up within the first 10 packs. Now, unless you alos received an epic, say, in the last 3 packs, open more packs until you get an epic.
2. Do the same thing for Rastakhan's Rumble, The Boomsday Project, and The Witchwood. Open until you get a Legendary and an Epic. Should be within 10 packs or less.
3. Open up Classic Packs until you feel semi-comfortable with the cheaper decks you can make. Use the legendaries you got for free+ the ones from the packs to help guide on what decks to make but don't feel you HAVE to use them if you can't seem to get a good deck from them. Focus on decks that only need a couple of cards crafted. AVOID dusting cards except for duplicates and goldens unless you've done A LOT of research on the card, and even then think twice. Dusting non-dupes may be required but the less you dust the better.
The SECOND you have decks you feel ok with, you have a decision:
1. Open more classic packs, which will be a good idea until you have most of the commons and rares...
2. Save for the next expansion, which will come around April, and we'll all get VERY hype for...
3. If you want some extra dust for epics/Legendaries, do that Legendary/epic trick I said on the other three sets: Kobolds/Frozen Throne/Un'Goro. Those sets are about to rotate out of standard, but you'll either get a very good legendary to use for now then dust later or more dust than you'll get opening other packs.
Personally I'm not too sure about #3 but it IS an option so I'll put it down as a choice.
Also when you feel comfortalbe, start learning about the arena. It IS the best place to use your gold.. once you stop being horrible at it. So the sooner you learn how to play there reasonably (again a 4+ win rate on average) then your gold will go MUCH farther there than in buying packs of the newest set.
Beyond that, just don't dust too many things, and be very *****VVEERRRRYYYY***** careful about your dust. .Dust is how you get your high rarity cards, so it's your key to those more expensive decks. be VERY careful in how you use it.

user-14157642 posted a message on Griftah - actually a decent cardPosted in: General DiscussionGriftah is an amazing card. My favorite of the expansion even. Although after playing with it I have to say it's not that great, but surprisingly it's still the most fun card. So it's still my favorite, but for the most part it's because all the other cards feel somewhat lame to me. I think it's just the theme of the expansion for me. Everything is just so "competitive" and only a few cards like Griftah, Drakkari Trickster are really fun. For example the Mage Loa is pretty tryhard. Ragnaros for one mana less and it can be triggered multiple times. But nonetheless Griftah would be a very cool card even if there would be better fun cards around. The only reason people complain is because it's Legendary. It's a decent card but it might not feel worthy of a Legendary. But otherwise a really fun card in my opinion. And you can basically run it in pretty much any deck.

Guys, I am sorry but you all overlook the crucial point here :
You compare newer cards to older cards that already rotated to wild (except Cairn).
Blizzard doesn't give a fuck about wild. Especially how older cards, that are no longer viable in standard compare to cards from the standard pool doesn't interest them.
Since they are unplayable right now, it doesn't matter if they are inferior to newer or less rare cards.
I am sure they regret to have created the wild format because they already lost many players to this game mode cause it's so much cheaper for older players to keep up with their collection.
The idea of them compensating older wild players for their old and outdated cards is naive at the best.
1
Just look at the streamers. They often literally speak not much about anything else.
Viper for instance appears to be so restarted. Every sentence is about "feels bad man" or "pepe hands" or "easy clap".
This feels so dumb but for the average viewer kit it's as much of their vocabulary they have themselves. Of course the chat turns into a clown fiesta.

The bugs are annoying as always but aren't as severe as some might say.
I personally enjoy the game more than in the last three days. They brought some very good improvement over the last 12 months.
And while the standard Meta will always be stale at some point they make changes like the recent patch that surely will refreshen it.
In the end, if all fails there is still wild which I enjoy a lot personally. It's much more diverse, astonishingly cheaper and also constantly changing.

It's just more essential cards behind a paywall. There was more free stuff in the last couple of months aye, but Blizzard compensated by releasing an adventure you have to buy unless you want to play without these essential cards.
If you pay for it with ingame gold you can buy less packs for the next expansion. Furthermore the adventure was released before the rotation, thus reducing its value because the cards will only be playable for about a year.
You can criticise this or criticise the f2p players who don't want to pay Blizzard money for being able to play a deck.
Both is absolutely legit. I don't get why there is so much hate on this forum.

Game seems to be broken on mobile again.
Starting to become a routine on patchdays

More tier 5. It's a filler legendary that might become useful some day in a very weird rez deck in my opinion.
Let's hope it never comes to that.

Happened to me as well.
I groaned every day after logging in and after trying to reroll them on my two accounts. Wednesday I only had three 50 gold quests, making it impossible to play without losing gold. I did all three at once and tried to compensate by playing a lot and winning.
Since then days I consistently get 60 gold quests again. So no need to reroll them.
Must be a coincidence but it can be annoying

Just love pulp fiction. On of the best if not the best movies of him.

Got to legend two days ago and all the druids and hunters gave me a really hard time.
Mech pally too if you don't draw your early removals or lackey generators. Often you don't have the time to play a toggwaggle because you cannot survive without romoving the threats on the board. It's just a huge tempoloss.
Quest druid and quest hunter and even quest pally are almost autoloss for rogue.
So there are enough counters yet and will be after rotation.

I won't buy it with real money this time. This timing of this adventure not long before the rotation results in abysmal value. All cards will rotate out in 15 month already.
