Bully is very strong vs rogue. A matchup the hunter is already favored in.
So I'd recommend life drinker or trap.
Got to legend two days ago and all the druids and hunters gave me a really hard time.
Mech pally too if you don't draw your early removals or lackey generators. Often you don't have the time to play a toggwaggle because you cannot survive without romoving the threats on the board. It's just a huge tempoloss.
Quest druid and quest hunter and even quest pally are almost autoloss for rogue.
So there are enough counters yet and will be after rotation.
Gala is just better at everything.
The strongest plays of both decks are toggwaggle or an upgraded galacrond. Having enough lackeys for value, tempo, toggwaggle and to upgrade your galacrond is much easier and consistent with the full galacrond package.
Zephrys for one turn and dragonqueen Alex in the late game can't compete with this. Believe me or just look it up in the two latest reports from vicious syndicate.
My winrate atm with galacrond rogue is about 60-70%.
People hate losing in general.
They hate losing to stupid mechanics (rez priest).
They hate losing to highroll (galacrond giving charge minions uber buffs or discounting 9 mana cards to zero.)
They hate op decks (gala shaman before first nerf) cause it feels very unfair to lose against something. Makes you feel helpless.
They say they hate because they are dumb and don't know they don't hate but only dislike. Hate is a very strong emotion and luckily rarer than one would assume.
I went from rank 25 to 5 in 3 hours with about 6-7 losses playing mech pally on my alternate account.
Easiest climb of my life.
Insane deck. Literally revives the archetype in wild. Thanks for posting!
Anchar is very powerful if you can find it. But the true mvp here is sky raider. When in hand it can make turn 1 extremely explosives along with patches.
I played my budget thief Rogue this season to rank 5. It it was both effective and super fun. The deck has no bad matchups except quest paladin and every game is unique.
So, I am very glad they released the quest. Thief may be not the strongest playstyle but it's definitely one of the most entertaining.
