Honestly, I feel like (popular opinion btw) they should have made the prerelease events available at every fireside gathering and not just specific ones in major cities. I live basically in the dead center of the States and I can’t get to one of these events without having to buy a plane ticket. I also empathize with Mexico along with other Latin and South American countries as their best bets are to either go to Brazil or Texas. Also, I have a feeling that these events are pay to enter for an event that should be free. All in all, this is going to be a nightmare but Blizzard has to learn from it if they want this to be the new norm for themselves.
I feel like this card is pretty good. At worst it’s a vanilla 2/5 which is premium stats. When you buff it however, it gets much better. Aggro paladin lists usually include a Dire Wolf Alpha so you could play this on curve next to the wolf, you get the full effect which gives a large tempo lead. Aggro also plays Sunkeeper Tarim and Unidentified Maul which has an attack buff mode. All in all, I believe people will try this as at least a one-of in aggro. Arena however, this card will be coveted.
I feel like this card used to cost 4 mana but then Blizzard realized that recruit Druid would just be insane if they did. Let’s analyze this though. Obviously a 5 mana 3/12 is insane. Let’s set up the example that it’s turn 5 against a control deck and you are going first. They are most likely digging through their deck looking for either their combo cards or removal. Let’s say they have 8 cards in hand and have Life Taped a couple of times. You can play this as a 5 mana 3/4 which is terrible. However, against aggro they will have very few cards in their hand. The problem comes to where if you’re playing against aggro, they will try and kill you before or on turn 6. This inevitably makes the card slow to the point where it might not see play. I do see a beacon of hope however not in arena but in Priest. One deck I used to play that was fairly successful was inner fire priest (the one from Kharazan standard). It would silence the card and then double it’s health twice. From there it would try and win the game with Inner Fire. All in alll, I believe this card is good but a little too slow to see constructed play. However in arena, you would definitely pick this card and play it to your advantage in the late game.
You are entitled to your opinion but the lackeys are good because it either is a 2/2 that doesn’t die or it’s a way to cheat out a Voidlord early in the game and it thins your deck at the same time.
I’m no jade player but I will stand up for them. Even though jades have been good since they came out, it’s no surprise that they are still good. However, jades aren’t the only deck in the meta anymore and there is more than one win condition in those decks rather than just exponentially larger minions every turn. If you don’t like jades, just don’t play the deck. But don’t make people feel bad for playing it. Thank you for reading.
Good card in terms of stats. 9 mana for 16 worth of stats distributed defensively. I think it will see play in a late game value oriented dragon non-priest deck. Could also be good as a 2-of in a deck with dragon hatcher.

Ah. Well then my mistake. I interpreted the card wrong to where I thought the minion loses health.

He’s there most likely as a publicity stunt to make it seem like the tournament is based on fun decks rather than meta decks.

Oakheart is fairly essential for this deck. If anything you can replace an Ixlid with a cube. Just save up for an Oakheart though.
