Honestly, the change to Warhorse Trainer is something that Dude Paladin needed, especially the addition of Taunt on this and on Promotion. Taunt has given the dudes a purpose to defend while still maintaining a strong aggression late game. I just had a Warhorse Trainer stay on the board for 3 turns with an upgraded Hero Power, love this new direction!

However, the rest of the set will need to mend the meta of its "game's over by turn 6" state in order for this, and by extension control paladin, to have any hope.
What I love about this card is it has heavy "the way Hearthstone should be" vibes. A great fight-for-board card that rewards you for its cost. These are the kind of cards we need more of. Not ridiculous solitaire-driven strategies that encourage a gameplan of "my combo races my opponent's" that we've had.

That's a lot of value! In highlander, the minions in your deck will be more random and will probably not work towards a synergetic goal (like earthen). But I still expect this to be a very very good card. Getting 2nd copy of tech cards, getting 2nd copy of neutral highlander legendary, ... It's like permanently drawing an extra card each turn, but you dont go into fatigue as fast.
It also cant be destroyed by kurtrus or patchwork, which is a good bonus!

I love highlander purely for the fact it makes you utilize cards that never saw play and you actually need to think about building your deck. Other decks just have the standard package blizz creates for them and you throw in two copies of the highest winrate cards.
The payoff cards for now: druid, DH, hunter are strong.
Priest one seems weak.

As a player that plays almost exclusively paladin, these cards offend me.

Yeah I fear for arena this expansion. But more so for the power level that mages have. We already had 3 months of mages discovering endlessly until they win the game and this time it won't be different.
Even if you draft a Titan against them, they will reverberate your titan and bring the pain every single game. Never running out of resources. It's boring and stupid.
