If you play elemental evocation you can play it on turn one and get a 2/2 on the board plus a spell. If you have the coin you get two spells and can ping. It's something, for sure.

Not sure about this one. I guess it will need a very specific deck built around it, and I don't quite see how that would work. But I'm sure somebody smarter than me will at least come up with a solid meme deck for the morpher.

Seems good. Deal 8 damage (potentially two targets), gain 8 life, and maybe even survive, remove some minions, and even an elemental tag (though that seems less relevant, I think there's only two cards in standard that benefit from that).

    But yeah, solid card.

This really is the reprint expansion.

When they talked about "callback" cards I thought this would be just a few cards, not half the set.

Anyway, very good card, destroys aggro on play, destroys combo with luck and skill, will see play.

They just can't get it right for everyone. How many threads were there that wanted to put Dirty Rat in the Classic set or demanded more disruption tools for standard? And now we get one, but then there are people saying "meh, just a reprint".

As far as I am concerned, I quite enjoy the throwback, and after five years of Hearthstone I think it is ok to look back, take stock, and bring back what made the game so good in the early years.

About the card, I voted playable, though that's obviously depending on the meta. If Combo remains a thing, it will be used a lot. The way I see it, it is better than Deathlord, because it's a battlecry, so it can't be silenced, and you still have the 3/7 taunt body to protect you if you pull something big. It is a little worse than Dirty Rat, because it is harder to get the timing right, and even then there is a higher chance of hit and miss. But overall solid card, not too flashy, but worth the deck slot if the meta calls for disruption.

Looks playable, but I'm afraid it is going to be a little too slow for a tier 1 deck. But if I get it I'll try some Arugal - Book of Spectors - Dollmaster combo just for the memes.

Does it work with Spirit of the Shark?

It's a battlecry, so I assume it will.

I think this is very good, maybe even better than vilespine. It is unconditional assasinate (in that way vilepspine was kind of six mana), and all of the effects are good, with the betrayal effect probably the weakest, because most situational benefit. The poison/stealth 1/1 usually will provoke a one card answer, two coins are always good, and any threat worth being assassinated is usually not a useless card to have in your own hand.

    And you can prep it.

It is not too flashy maybe, but I would be very surprised of this doesn't become a staple in almost any rogue deck.

I think the main thing that makes this so powerful is the "choose" aspect of the draw 3. Lackeys don't seem to be that hard to come by, plus rogue has the shark spirit. It is reasonable to expect some consistency to prep out the draw three play three cards for 0 mana, aside from possible scheme schenanigans. Rogue is good at drawing, even without odd. I would be not surprised if this makes for a high tier deck.

Depending on the rest of the set, but right now this is the closest I've ver been of crafting something golden, I'm pretty sure they are going to have to nerf this at some point.

It looks like a great card with a ton of potential. But it all depends on if they can manage to get the lackeys generation working in time.

To be honest, you saw the 2-drop and you got the 3-drop so far which is almost enough for rogue. But i feel pretty sure, there will be at least another one.

I was referring to the fact that I am not sure that lackey generation is actually working in game. I mean, the warrior spell didn't, and I don't think they have enough people to do it manually once the expansion goes live.

posted a message on Worst stream ever?

I mean, it wasn't great, and the lackey situation (plus the freeze because of it) were very embarrassing.

But to be honest, they are a video game and not a video production company. The technical issues to me are much more worrying than the quality of the stream otherwise.

Also, I thought Whalen is getting more comfortable in front of the camera, songbird was ok, not as (awkwardly) funny as Day9, not as chatty as Regis, all in all, decent. I guess I'd prefer someone like Trump or Dane, but that's just my taste. The other guy seems like a nice dude, actually reminds me a lot of my old room mate, but he has not stage presence. Also just my personal opinion.

About the cards, I like most of what I see, and more importantly, I like what they are trying to do with this expansion. We just celebrated five years of Hearthstone, they reached 100 million accounts, so I think a little throw back, a little nostalgia as a not towards the players who remember the original Dr 7 is more than ok. And, in my opinion, they are doing a decent job to not reprint, but put a subtle twist on those old cards.

The big questions, as always, are a) is the quality going to be ok (and that's where the reveal has me worried, just from a technical point of view),  and b) is it going to be balanced. So far, Rogue looks strong, the rest more meh, but we'll see. Too early to judge.

All in all I like what I see content wise, and I am willing to forgive awkwardness in advertisement, as long as it isn't obvious that marketing was not the only department they tried to save money on.

Boom Control Warrior is going to be at least a Tier 3 deck. Definitely playable.

It should be two mana and start at two armor, so at the very least would be as good as armoring up.
