posted a message on I believe that Naga Sea Witch needs to be nerfed. What say the Wild players?

I think Naga needs to be nerfed. I'm currently Rank 3 in Wild. Made Rank 1 last month, and have been at least rank 5 nearly every month in Wild since the format was created. I play a lot of the format and feel qualified to speak on the matter. It's oppressive, has been for awhile, and it's just unfun to play against (and play with as someone who has done so often).

Now, to speak to Donais' point, I also believe several cards need to be looked at seriously: Call to Arms, Kabal Lackey, Voidcaller, and Barnes specifically (Raza and Patches both made this list pre-nerf). I'm not saying all or any of these cards need a nerf, but they highlight an issue that Wild has been struggling with for a long time now...

An issue that makes the format both powerful, but also very swingy and often unfun. All these cards eschew mana costs and skirts the driving force for balance in the game: the mana system. The reason Naga, Call, Lackies, and Barnes form the foundation of so many decks is because they allow the player to play cards many turns ahead of schedule without losing tempo. They also cut down on future design space by the very limits of thier design.

    My two cents anyways.

posted a message on WHY IS PATCHES GOOD?!?!

Okay, Patches is really good because of all the reasons listed here, but also on raw stats. Examples:

Zombie Chow is amazing as a 2/3 with a minor drawback. Bloodsail Corsair + Patches is 2/3 with a weapon removal and a deal 1 attached with tribal synergies and two bodies which makes it stronger to targeted removal...AND it thins your deck by 1.

Flame Imp is a amazing as a 3/2 with minor drawback. Southsea Deckhand is 3/2 with charge 90% of the time.

Mukla is a balanced legendary 5/5 for 3. Southsea Captain is a 5/5 with deal 2.

Basically it turns the first pirate you play into, "Battlecry Draw a card, add 1 to your mana, summon a 1/1, and deal 1-2 damage."

It's easily one of the best cards in the game hands down.

posted a message on Do you Accept Friend Requests and Under What Circumstances

I always accept, but I tend to wait a day first. This makes it so I don't get raged at which I don't find enjoyable, but also have a bunch of friends online to spectate or challenge. If the game is epic, and both of us clearly had fun, I'll accept right away. :)

posted a message on Which was your 1st Golden Hero?

I started playing super casually shortly after Naxx, and started getting more serious right after TGT.

My first golden hero was Control Warrior shortly after LoE launched. Then Reno Mage after Old Gods. Hunter achieved 500 wins with N'Zoth in Wild just after Karazahn. And I got my golden Paladin with Secret in Wild in February.

Now I'm tag teaming Druid (with Eggs) and Priest (with Dragon) which are both about 100 wins away...mostly in Wild.
