posted a message on Overwatch Heroes as Hearthstone Legendaries

I really like how accurate the card text is to their in-game abilities, but the "immune while attacking" thing would be totally broken.

    Great stuff tho.

posted a message on Am i doing something wrong? (Forbidden spells)

It consumes the remainder of your active mana crystals to summon a minion, so you can't spend all of your mana before playing it or you'll always end up with Wisps and Tinyfins.

If you have 10 mana and play Forbidden Shaping by itself, you'll have a 10 cost minion. If you have 10 mana and use your Hero Power first, then play Forbidden Shaping, you'll have an 8 cost minion. If you heal yourself, play a 2 drop, then play Forbidden Shaping, you'll get a 6 cost minion, and so on and so on.

Every player before WotOG: There's too much RNG in Hearthstone now. I wish they would scale back on RNG cards and make the game more about skilled play again.

Blizzard: We hear you. We feel you. We value player input greatly. So here's C'Thun and Yogg-Saron, Hope's End

posted a message on Can Blizzard please do their job and nerf Secret Paladin?

If you're having trouble with Secret Paladin, just play Freeze Mage. Their minions don't mean crap and you almost never have to activate their secrets, but if for some reason you do, that's what Frost Nova/Doomsayer is for.

posted a message on Mech - BGH & Dr.Boom Variation

Boom Bots can be dangerous. However, from my personal experience, 8 out of 10 times I play Dr. Boom the opponent has an answer for him, usually BGH, which ultimately means I paid 7 mana for 2 boom bots that may or may not clear some of the opponent's board. Meanwhile, my opponent only paid 3 mana to remove my 7 mana threat, gained a 4/2 body, and still has mana left over to play another minion/spell afterwards. That can stop a Mech Mage's momentum dead in it's tracks, especially if you played Dr. Boom on an empty board.

Looking at your decklist, I think Archmage Antonidas would be a better fit than Dr. Boom because you have 4 minions that give spare parts.

    Quick recap:
Play Dr. Boom for 7 mana, Boom usually dies to BGH leaving you with 2 Boom Bots that deal 5 damage on average.
Play Archmage + 2 spare parts for 9 mana, you have a 5/7 body your opponent can't BGH + 12 damage minimum next turn, possibly even more if Archmage survives.

posted a message on Holy Crap Formats

I think the idea is great, but I strongly disagree with a few things such as only having your "Standard" rank show to B-net friends but not your Wild rank, only showing the top 100 ranked players for Standard, and Standard being the only format that can net you points for the Hearthstone Championship Tour. Basically, anything you accomplish in Wild, even #1 Legend, doesn't mean shit and I think that's kind of a slap in the face to every player who puts in the effort. Wild and Standard should be treated as equals, especially if I'm going to willingly subject myself to a meta of Secret Paladins that have Shielded Minibots, Haunted Creepers, Dr. Booms, Piloted Shredders, Loathebs and Sludge Belchers all over again.

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!

Lol not even salty this time, just came here to laugh at all the try hards in casual.

I created a deck with nothing but 0 and 1 drops to knock out the "The Meek Shall Inherit" quest in casual and proceeded to face a Combo Druid and 2 Tempo Mages. At the end of all 3 games, each player proceeded to spam "Sorry" as if they had actually just accomplished something.

    1. If you're so dim witted that you actually think that was a serious deck, or that I was even trying to win, then I should be the one spamming "Sorry" for your lack of intelligence.

    2. You actually had the nerve to BM in casual while playing Combo Druid. LOL bad.

    Thanks for the laughs tho.

Dark Iron Dwarf is a slightly a less efficient version of Gormok. 4 cost 4/4 that can buff a 2/1 to deal 4 damage. You can also use it as another activator for eggs.

posted a message on Why is mech mage making a comeback?

In addition to what others have already said, one of Mech Mage's biggest weaknesses has always been Control Warrior and Priest, neither of which are very popular on ladder at the moment.

Would Molten Giant, Jaraxxus or Mal'Ganis be an acceptable replacement for the 2nd Sea Giant? I only have 1 and can't afford to craft another right now.

posted a message on Returning player. What have I missed?

In addition to what others have already said, here are some other notable changes.

Face hunter has almost gone extinct thanks to Reno Jackson, but Shamans are well on their way to becoming the new face hunter so don't expect too many slow mid-range games from them anymore. Murloc pally is viable now thanks to Anyfin Can Happen. Freeze Mage is still strong, the only major addition to the deck since your absence being Emperor Thaurissan. Mill Rogues are disgusting with Brann Bronzebeard and Coldlight Oracle. Dragon Priest is a thing now thanks to cards like Twilight Whelp and Twilight Guardian, to name a few, and is arguably better than classic Control Priest, although Control Priest just got a decent card in Entomb. Control Warriors can stack insane amounts of armor now with Justicar Trueheart (4 armor a turn instead of 2) and have a decent combo with Brann Bronzebeard and Iron Juggernaut, so expect most games to go to fatigue with them. However, given the aggro heavy meta, CW isn't so great for climbing right now so I would only recommend it for rank 5+.

Ben Brode talked about nerfing Warsong Commander specifically because of the charge ability it could give other minions and how it created a deck that wasn't "interactive", yet he still lets the FoN + Savage Roar combo go unchecked. Thanks for that, Ben. Effectively starting every game at 16 health against a Druid feels incredibly interactive.

posted a message on Is ranked matchmaking rigged?

MMR only applies to Casual mode. Ladder doesn't care what your MMR is, it's just going to throw you against the first person it can find with a similar rank to yours. The best thing you can do is pay attention to what type of match ups you're seeing most; Are you facing a lot of face hunters? Or is it more Priest, Paladin and Control Warrior? This can change daily, so every day play a few test matches to see what the meta is like and then pick a deck that counters what you're facing the most. Fight aggro with aggro, and if you're facing a lot of control try Midrange Paladin or Dragon Priest.
