The number of nerf posts only gives players an idea of the number of unskilled players.

Kwakdizzle posted a message on Kingsbane issuePosted in: Card DiscussionThere's nothing to fix, you just got unlucky. 3 times in 4 days is not nearly a large enough sample size to make any significant inference anyway. But feel free to visit the salt thread to vent, that might help :)

originalKasai posted a message on Top8 Challenger Cup- Meta breaker hunter(after the nerfs)Posted in: Top8 Challenger Cup- Meta breaker hunter(after the nerfs)Greetings fellow deckbuilder. First of all congrats o TOP8 in CC. Here are some tips:
1. Meta is pretty fast like always was, even faster when there are major changes. Missing 1-drops is really a big deal, I would suggest you to try Secretkeeper maybe with combination with Cloaked Huntress to coin it on turn 2 for insane tempo.
2. Playing only 2 copies of Savannah Highmane to synergize with your Kathrena Winterwisp is super bold. Based on numbers you end up with 8-mana 6/6 do nothing 33% of the time which is not cool. I recommend you to push in some big beasts like King Krush and Violet Wurm as well.
3. Playing 2 copies of Corpse Widow for 5 DR cards is just not worth it. One would be more than enough.
4. Double Flare is fine for tournaments when you target certain decks, but for ladder it is like 75% 2-mana draw card without body. One would be enough as well.
5. To tech in against weapons you play either Acidic Swamp Ooze to have it cheap, or Harrison Jones to have it with value. NOT BOTH.
6. Second copy of Eaglehorn Bow would be great. It is just a great card in general.
7. This is the most important. Do not overpromote your stream. If people ask something don't be douche and answer them. "Come watch my stream to find your answers" is really a bad thing to say. If you keep making good decks, people will come to your stream even if you don't spam it every single day in comments. Having some small info in deck description with info about your regular stream schedule is fine, anything over that is just annoying.

Xynot posted a message on Mage Exodia Exploit/BugPosted in: General DiscussionIt could be far worse than you realize. This exploit is a variant of the wanna-cry trojan horse virus and is unparalleled in its destructive capability. Other, more well-known viruses such as Stoned, Airwolf, and Michaelangelo pale in comparison to the prospects of this newest creation by a warped mentality. Once a computer is infected, one of several things can happen. If the computer contains a hard drive, that will most likely be destroyed. If the program is not stopped, the computer's processor will be placed in an nth-complexity infinite binary loop - which can severely damage the processor if left running that way too long. Unfortunately, most novice computer users will not realize what is happening until it is far too late. Good luck man.
Seriously, floating card and never-ending rope mean your connection is just bad.

xspdi posted a message on [K&C] OTK Control RoguePosted in: [K&C] OTK Control RogueI can count, thx, but "there a 4 card (5 including DK) combo which does 24 dmg."
Your combo - 16 dmg, 10 mana, good.
Malygos + prep + Sinister strike + Shadow reflection of Sinister strike + Sinister strike = 24 dmg, but 11 mana
Read again.

Haussenfuss posted a message on Who's to blame?Posted in: General DiscussionI've never quite understood the community complaint regarding stagnation in the meta-game - it's to be expected that the competitive play mode will attrit weak decks, and reward strong ones. Ever since BB became the HS overlord, there have been regular balance changes two months after the release of new content - in other words, every two months, give or take, the meta-game shifts, either in response to new content, or to the shake-up in the meta-game produced by nerfing that new content. That's exactly what many members of the community have desired for years, but it doesn't seem to have made any impact - "what can I aimlessly complain about . . ." is a moving target.
FWIW - HSReplays tracks well over one million games each day. The K&C meta-game is likely unique in HS history - the two best decks in the meta-game, by far, aren't among the ten most-played decks on ladder. For most of K&C, Aggro Paladin has had the 11th highest play-rate, while Murloc Paladin has had the 13th. Both decks are favoured to heavily favoured against the most popular decks on ladder - but there was never any ladder adjustment in light of their performance, and the decks have each enjoyed a play-rate slightly above 2% as a result. Owing to the pending nerfs, Aggro Paladin is likely dead. Murloc Paladin will likely be fine, but it probably won't matter - Big Spell Mage has a higher play-rate on ladder, despite having a win-rate a full 10% worse than the Fish. If the HS community were more interested in discussing developments in the game, rather than complementing itself on how much better they understand HS than the idiots who actually make it, the depressed play-rate of Paladin would be among the hottest topics of debate on the forums. It's not . . .

The main problem is that experimentation is expensive. You need a lot of packs, which means a lot of time or a lot of money. If you design a deck and it turns out to be crap, there's no way to undo all the dust you burnt to get it. So people look up decks that they know will work so they can climb ladder, which is fun for a lot of people.
The main issue is that you can't craft cards efficiently with the current pack cost and dust efficiency. If people could experiment more painlessly they would.

This card could be played for 1 black mana or with 2 health. EVERYONE played it. As soon as you had any inkling what the opponent's key cards were, you played this thing and ruined their day. This is effectively what cards like the geist you proposed would be used for, as without consequence to the user, they have far more reason to be used, not less.

The new corridor creeper is fine. The point was to make it something that doesn't go into decks from every single class as a "I hope I don't get boardcleared" tech.
As it is now, there's room for a beast synergy setup that'll make creeper effective in the right decks in the future. Making it a giant that gets cheaper simply by having the game happen just opens up more opportunity for outrageous swing turns. We really do not need stickier minions. The ability to summon 2 8/8's for 0 mana after a flamestrike will not make the game better or more interesting.

I think as soon as you open 1 pack of WoG you get C'Thun (gifted outside the pack, so 5 cards + C'thun) iirc, so I'd get at least 10 of those.

I wouldn't dust or craft anything at this stage of the game. If Blizzard's schedule hasn't changed we're days from the new expansion announcement and things can change very quick. Hold off for now.

I would put your 1x Spellbreaker in to save you against an early large taunt, which is very common in the current meta. You also have a Corridor Creeper you could dust for 400 dust to craft a Murloc Warleader , which you should really have 2x of.
To fit those 2 cards remove 1x Rallying Blade and 1x Blessing of Kings .

To be fair, cubelock took a while to discover and hasn't really been stirring things up all that long compared Raza or Patches. They probably couldn't develop a response that was acceptable to the cubelock's rise in popularity.
FYI, it's not as simple as getting rid of doomguard, as some cubelocks are running mountain giants now.
