The main problem is that experimentation is expensive. You need a lot of packs, which means a lot of time or a lot of money. If you design a deck and it turns out to be crap, there's no way to undo all the dust you burnt to get it. So people look up decks that they know will work so they can climb ladder, which is fun for a lot of people.

The main issue is that you can't craft cards efficiently with the current pack cost and dust efficiency. If people could experiment more painlessly they would.

Skulkin Geist in first 10 cards? Ofc, why not lets fck your game hard. Superb stupid card created bcs in last seasons jade druid was to strong. Now? cannot play inner fire priest because of that. Loosing to one card is what is bullshit in hearthstone and that a bithc card created because someone has no imagination how to solve common problem:) so stupid approach. who the fcuk are you people in activision (not blizzard - blizzard died long time ago)?

Yeah, how dare someone have a tech card against 1-mana "Give a minion +31 attack."

They should have a counter ~ but it should be a well designed card. Golakka Crawler and Skulking Geist are poor and lazy design from the perspective that there are no limitations as to what they destroy. Traditionally, hate cards are quite toxic.

For example Golakka Crawler kills any pirate. As such it can remove minions like Captain Greenskin and Naga Corsair. That is too strong. It would be far more balanced if the card read 'remove a pirate with 3 or less attack'. You could even bump it up to 4 attack to get around buffed Southsea Captains and it would still be more balanced.

Similarly geist should not destroy all 1 cost spells. It should give you the opportunity to destroy one of your choice through discovery.

Just my two cents but I feel they did a very liner job.

Choosing 1 card through discovery would be worse, as it would allow the user to run 1-cost spells without consequence. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but consider that it effectively prohibits geist from being run in certain decks, making it less ubiquitous and therefore making it easier for decks that fear geist to exist.
Anyone who's played MTG during the Phyrexia set knows how incredibly stupid the card surgical extraction was... let me show it to you for example:

This card could be played for 1 black mana or with 2 health. EVERYONE played it. As soon as you had any inkling what the opponent's key cards were, you played this thing and ruined their day. This is effectively what cards like the geist you proposed would be used for, as without consequence to the user, they have far more reason to be used, not less.

posted a message on How to (Actually) fix Corridor Creeper

The new corridor creeper is fine. The point was to make it something that doesn't go into decks from every single class as a "I hope I don't get boardcleared" tech.

As it is now, there's room for a beast synergy setup that'll make creeper effective in the right decks in the future. Making it a giant that gets cheaper simply by having the game happen just opens up more opportunity for outrageous swing turns. We really do not need stickier minions. The ability to summon 2 8/8's for 0 mana after a flamestrike will not make the game better or more interesting.

like for real, why does this card exist? I understand jades needed a nerf in late 2017 but why tf did they print this card instead of just nerf idol? Geist completely destroys combo priest and in the future decks that focus on certain 1 cost cards will get completely destroyed by the card (literally a Auto lose). I think there shouldn’t be any cards that make a game a 100% lose depending on the matchup but sadly nerfing jade idol was too difficult for our beloved balancing team (instead they nerfed fucking hex).

It's one of the few things that can equalize a player-made deck and a pro-player curated deck. If you and hundreds of others are going to clog the meta with super-optimized decks you can and should be countered now and then. Everyone else meets decks that they're 100% going to lose to, what makes you and your deck so special?

I think as soon as you open 1 pack of WoG you get C'Thun (gifted outside the pack, so 5 cards + C'thun) iirc, so I'd get at least 10 of those.

I wouldn't dust or craft anything at this stage of the game. If Blizzard's schedule hasn't changed we're days from the new expansion announcement and things can change very quick. Hold off for now.

posted a message on Need help with improving my deck with what I have :)

I would put your 1x Spellbreaker in to save you against an early large taunt, which is very common in the current meta. You also have a Corridor Creeper you could dust for 400 dust to craft a Murloc Warleader , which you should really have 2x of.

To fit those 2 cards remove 1x Rallying Blade and 1x Blessing of Kings .

To be fair, cubelock took a while to discover and hasn't really been stirring things up all that long compared Raza or Patches. They probably couldn't develop a response that was acceptable to the cubelock's rise in popularity.

FYI, it's not as simple as getting rid of doomguard, as some cubelocks are running mountain giants now.

I'm over the moon right now. My Spiteful Priest is 14-3 against warlock. People are complaining but teching against warlock is so much easier. Spellbreakers, oozes, and if you really want to be an asshole, a Geist lol. If you maintain tempo with huge threats via the Summoners, the loss of tempo a Geist incurs is irrelevant.

This, most of the tech cards that are good right now are good against all the top decks in the meta.
Spellbreaker is doing great, Dirty Rat eats combos like a champ, Skulking Geist is kind of weak now imo but makes Spellbreaker 's job easier.
