outgoingzer0 posted a message on Update on Weekly Quests - Quests Will be Easier to CompletePosted in: Newslet's see what the fix is.
For +20% XP, it should be Win 6 ranked games.
I bet it will be 10.

Ophion-EU posted a message on Update on Weekly Quests - Quests Will be Easier to CompletePosted in: NewsWe had seen that many players routinely completed their Weekly Quests through their regular play, without even really engaging with the Weekly Quest system
Because when I log into Hearthstone I want to play the decks I've built and that I think are fun. I don't want to play a deck with only miniaturize minions because a weekly quest requires me to, that is not fun and it interferes with my goal to get legend every month, which already can take the better part of that month.

SCWT_FTW posted a message on Hearthstone Quest Update - Big Increase in Requirements and Lower Increase in RewardsPosted in: NewsI love this game and have been playing since GvG. I normally JUST get the 5 standard wins each week. There’s absolutely no way I would EVER get 15 wins in a week, especially in multiple modes. I guess I’ll be re-rolling the wins quests until I get the Battecry quest and can hopefully get it via a couple of Murloc-centric BG games.
Seriously though, this is going to turn A LOT of people off to the game. It’s just too much of an increase with minimal upside. I have a feeling they will reverse this (somewhat) in the coming weeks if the community backlash is strong enough.

JuggerN4ut posted a message on Hearthstone Quest Update - Big Increase in Requirements and Lower Increase in RewardsPosted in: NewsIncreasing from 5 t o15 is 200% increase, not 150%, which is even worse. 3x harder for +20% reward, makes quest worth only 40% of what they were worth before the change. That is fucking insane. Moreover, even if it was 2x harder for equal 2x reward, it still would be a change for worse in my opinion, making it a chore to complete quests weekly.
I played fairly reqularly since GvG, but as many people wrote, I too consider quitting at this point. Kinda sucks, cuz i felt like new expansions and updates were getting in fact better and better, but Blizzards greed continues it's killing spree. RIP HotS & now HS too. -

eko5 posted a message on Hearthstone Quest Update - Big Increase in Requirements and Lower Increase in RewardsPosted in: NewsI've been playing HS casually since beta, I say I was able to finish weeklies about 50% of the time. The ability to play a game casually ~5 hours a week is why I chose to play this game.
Well, so long HS!

GiantHaystacks posted a message on Hearthstone Quest Update - Big Increase in Requirements and Lower Increase in RewardsPosted in: NewsIt's like Blizzard is trying to break up with us but doesn't have the courage to come out and say it. Instead it treats us worse and worse, hoping that we'll be the ones to end the relationship. Sort of like the time that my ex, Emma, locked me out of the house.
It wasn't that long ago that I held Blizzard up as an example of a good software house that deserved my money. It's no exaggeration to say that those days are over. I'm feeling unvalued as a customer and I feel no good will towards the company.
I'm not given to hyperbole but I am starting to wonder how much more of this I'm willing to put up with.
If it wasn't against the rules to sell your Blizzard account, I'd be considering cashing it all in.

Nekkro2 posted a message on Rules Update For Duplication or Recasting & Patch 29.2 Known IssuesPosted in: NewsBut why?
I mean, in that specific interaction, Promotion should never have work. If worked that way before it looks more like a bug that as an actual design decision.
And I guess that it has sense with Elusive minions cause Conductivity says "the next spell also targets adjacent minions", and Elusive says "can't be targeted by spells". But is such an specifict interaction that I'm surprised they even cared about it.
But when they say "that portion of the spell won't have any effect." they actually mean "That copy of the spell" or if you cast, lets say Runed Orb, dosn't deals the damage but still Discovers the card?

That was just a special mechanic of that boss fight. The boss has it in their ability description.

The only 2 decks I played for a long time were my wild quest/n'zoth/reno priest, and a tesspionage rogue deck, both purely for fun. Both are heavy control decks, and I eventually got tired of auto losing to combo/otk decks. I noticed I had most of the cards to make a mill rogue, which is another of the most hated decks in the game, because who likes having half their deck burned? Turns out, it's a lot of fun being on the other side of that matchup. It's my most played deck the last few months. The moral of the story is why give a shit what other people think of the decks you like? It's a video game, just play whatever makes you happy.

Paying for an advantage is what pay to win is. Pay to win rarely actually means you paid so you 100% automatically win, it's paying for a tangible in-game advantage. having twice as many heroes to choose from over a f2p player is definitely a huge advantage, as heroes in battlegrounds have massive differences in power level. Then again standard hearthstone is also pay to win, most online ccg's inherently are, so it's a bit weird that this is where op draws the line.

It's a bug. I do friendly's against a mobile account to do quests, and sometimes one of our portraits will just stay highlighted until they hover over it again. Just tried it and got it to stick twice by queuing up a few actions that ended on an attack.

Jfc, what is with this line of thinking why is it that it only applies to priests? We've had pirate warrior, patron warrior, old gods midrange shaman, jade druid, cubelock, secret paladin, undertaker hunter, quest rogue. So why is it that none of those classes are blacklisted by the community?
Priest has been in such a horrible state the last 3 expansions, I had to start using rogue (espionage) in standard, having been a strict priest main since launch, but I still see all these posts hating on the entire class for one deck that rotated 7 months ago.

Is it really too much to ask to have a decent control priest in standard??? I'm so tired of this combo bull****.

It's going right into my wild quest priest. It makes in easier to pull of the quest against aggro, and improves the n'zoth later on. A problem with n'zoth and draw cards is the high probability of it milling you from too many draw/add cards to hand effects, this will help to alleviate that.

Hey, I've played almost exclusively Priest since launch, and dragon priest was my favorite deck for a long time. Here's the version I'm currently using. It leans a bit more control, and none of the legendaries are must-haves, but the rest is a solid core to build on.
