I have to say, after the first 10 arena drafts, I started to be skeptical. I guess around 5 wins on avg.
Last 3 drafts I went 12 wins. I mean I've never even had 2 12 wins runs in a row. But 3? First paladin then rogue and last was druid.
If any1 is wondering I'm using HSREPLAY for picks. Before, I used Arena companion app form Overwolf but it's clearly wrong when comparing to HSREPLAY and my last results. Obviously, raw WR (calculated by HSREPLAY) of a card doesn't have to mean it's a right card to pick. You've got to keep an eye on a curve, deck archetype and so on but even then, overwolf app is not the way to go in my opinion.
I had some very bad luck but not sure it's because of new meta. It's rather because some players with OP decks managed to be matched with my shitty < 6.0 points deck. The lowest score was 1-3 and average after 10 matchups is 5 wins so not bad considering 1 pack reward and usually around 70g.
The worst thing is that almost every mage has at least 1 blizzard and 1 flamestrike. Still OP in arena.
For me as well it is not a one-time thing. Happens all the time with the same deck. I mean I know the decks are full so whatever but it just looks kinda annoying :P
Lose enough games with your own homebrew in casual. The more you lose the worse decks you'll see.
Don't go over rank 10, preferably rank 15. Whenever you're about to reach rank 15, just concede few games and then replay. At rank 20-10 you'll have a much higher chance to face original decks.
Stay at rank 5, 10, 15 or 20. Whenever you reach 1 rank higher, concede games until you drop to 0 stars at floor rank.
It does work. You'll still face a lot of meta decks, but now you will also start meeting more tier 3/4 decks as well as original homebrews.
It's only too good because of possible bounce... not because mana for the stats or effect is too low. In my opinion, giving it taunt wouldn't have been such a bad idea or just give it +1/+1 so it can trade with almost everything this meta has to offer.
Every deck has its counter. The nightmare for control shammy is the greedy dragon list with 8 mana spells. Other than that its not hard to beat mage as control shaman.
I just play this game on a toilet at work. Ranked is boring as always because you usually see 2-3 classes in a span of 1 hour. I think the arena is the best format ATM. Sure you lose a lot because of the bad draft and it usually feels like just playing on the curve but who cares, at least it's not rogue with insane tempo or 1-hour games with a warrior...
I don't think you can treat this game seriously tbh. Like max 2 years and you'll start creating threads like this. At one point you just know that you've seen it all already. But it's the best game to play at public transport/toilet for sure.
You're paying 2800 gold for a legendary. That's pretty fair, that's about how much you would spend in packs to get a specific legendary. I agree that no one in their right mind should spend cash money on this, but the gold cost is fine.
But why would you want this legendary as a player with a big collection? I think you rather spend gold on real packs than this specific legendary. Nevertheless, I think the cost is fine for the card backs, fun and a legendary.
The problem is the hero cards, some classes can survive without one like mage and rogue but priest and warlock are doomed because don't have a chance vs Boom or Hagatha in value game.
Hagatha, really? :P It's way worse than boom. Hagatha is definitely fine.
I understand fun part of playing adventures, really. But from my point of view, offline content in online multiplayer games is just worse than in typical games made for offline fun. In online games, I want to play with other players but if not, then just make rewards bigger for the price we pay.
I'm not sure how many people playing HS enjoys this game so much that they tend to complete every solo content with a lot of laughs. As for me and 3 of my friends playing HS, none of us gives a shit about solo content. If they want to have fun alone, they always chose other games. HS is for me and for them a time to play few games on ladder or arena, where you actually face other people. Or when we can meet together and play against each other.
Prizes should be more rewarding in my opinion. I rather save gold for next expansion really. That being said I think this might be the most entertaining solo content ever released. So I guess one can say, it's fair.

We'll have to see how consistent it turns out.

There are a few ways to face homebrews:

I sometimes rope people when I search for something on the web at the same time. But I never do that on purpose.

Is it really reasonable to play bounce effects knowing it's not really for elysiana? I mean devastator deal 10 dmg is brutal so just asking.
