posted a message on New deck to play // META CRUSHER // fatigue

Over the course of like 20 games I fought Holy Wrath Paladin just once. And it was winnable but RGNJesus decided not to grant me any heal. No other OTK decks. Anyway, OTK decks beat control decks. Just deal with it as it was always like this and there is no arguing about that :)

I guess one can include Hecklebot if meta shifts towards OTK.

posted a message on Fatigue shaman - deck to shine?

I wanted to talk about a deck that I'm currently using at rank 2 (climbed from 5). In RoS expansion, people tried to make fatigue shaman work. It turned out that the best version of control shaman was based around The Storm Bringer so pretty much token-based, anti-aggro/-midrange deck.

I always loved control decks as having control over the course of the game, using late-game minions which are usually much more interesting than early drops and being prepared for every card in my opponent's deck is what I enjoy. Before uldum I played a lot of fatigue shaman. Not that it was very strong but I do enjoy shaman cards and overall strategy of the deck. What I remember lacking was having more efficient board clears and an additional heavy late-game card with good deck synergy. That's why I'm gonna introduce You to cards You don't often see on the ladder and cards that allow fatigue shaman to climb successfully.

Starting from Plague of Murlocs. I have to say first I was like, too situational, maybe one of, but why not run hex. Not good against aggro and so on. You definitely want 2 of those and just forget about [card]hex/card].
+Not much aggro on the ladder.
+Can turn your board of totems and lackyes into more dangerous minions - actually very useful.
+Is multi morph card which fights the meta beautifully - mage with turns that spam like 30/30 stats in one turn, quest paladin, token druid, quest druid, mech hunter, every priest deck.
+Has good synergy with Lightning Storm which in combination with will oftentimes clear whatever board for just 6 mana.

Earthquake. Not much to say about this card. You just look at this card and you know it's good.
+7 mana deal 7 damage to everything, very efficient.
+Can get rid of death rattle, divine shield and reborn minions.
    +Good synergy with King Phaoris

King Phaoris. Late game card that I talked about.
+Lets you win games faster, instead of fatiguing your opponent.
    +Stabilizes the game for you.
+Insane synergy with shudderwock, hagatha and overall spells which you have many.

So if you're bored with murloc or quest shaman already (and please don't try to make quest fatigue shaman, it's not a deck meant for fatigue battles, I tried and it just doesn't work unless you prefer having the greediest deck on the ladder), and looking for heavy thinking games then don't hesitate trying the deck for yourself because if it works for me up until rank 2 then I am more than sure it can easily get a spot on the meta list.

posted a message on Turn Limit Games Should go to Whichever Player has a higher health total at the end

I'd like to point out one important thing here. Fatigue shaman should have upper hand against fatigue warrior.

What you're doing, is teching a deck, which is fine as it is, to the point of greediness which prolly makes your deck worse against most of the meta decks. There is no other reason to do so than because you're too focused on mirror matchups. I mean okay, you like being greedy AF? Sure go ahead. But now try to think how frustrating it actually was for an opponent with a deck which beats yours most of the time (fatigue shaman).

Elsyiana fits perfectly to fatigue shaman because of shudderwock. It's just a natural addition to this deck which actually makes you have overall higher WR on the ladder as it is the only fatigue tool in control shammy. Same can't be said about control warrior because of both Azalina and Elysiana fighting for fatigue matchups. Shudderwock can be both tempo and huge value swing and isn't just a greedy card to win in fatigue.

I had a very similar situation today. I played against quest shaman with my fatigue shaman. The game lasted to fatigue after both mine and his shudder had been played after elysiana (yes, a very very long game). I won because my deck is meant to go into fatigue and win it almost every time naturally. What he did is basically making a quest shaman weaker for a greedy purpose forgetting that going into fatigue matchups require much more health gain cards in the deck.

posted a message on Mage is unplayable in standard after nerfs?

Well. OP is right. Mage is so bad atm that you can't even see decks for mage on hsreplay between rank 1 and 5.

I'm glad I crafted highlander mage :) Well... That's what happens when just 1 card grants additional 5% WR. GJ BLIZZARD! Thanks for letting me spend my dust on mage for nothing! Should have stood away from this class, it was fucking worthless.

posted a message on Love and hate

In this game time spent on playing has much more to do with the rank you're at than skill. The thing we see the same people every month on top 100 has more to do with the amount of "free" time they have and chose to play this game than how TALENTED they are. At some point, the WR difference between pro and just a good player is too low for being the main factor in achieving high legend ranks. It's just time.

posted a message on People forget what is important

Often players ask: what deck is the strongest, which should I chose. Instead of asking yourself: which deck suits me the best.

If you ask somebody, what does oneself finds funny and entertaining, it won't always be the truth for a different person. I think everyone will find this obvious. But have you ever wondered, how many times what we think makes us happy, is not the "most happy" you can achieve?

I don't know, but for me, there are too many people that play what is the strongest instead what they might find funny. Like all those threads "OMH guys I've played for few days straight and I have to tell you it wasn't funny". Or newcomers who look for what is the strongest deck instead of searching for something they find interesting.

Do you like having control over the game and achieve later stages of the game? Would you rather have a minion based fight where fighting for the strength of the board is more important than a number of spells in your hand. Do you like counting hitpoints left on your opponent?

Those don't have to be the right questions to ask but one question is for sure certain. Are you playing the correct deck?

I think pocket galaxy is just too busted when it works. So if it can work at 6 mana then it's still too good. At 7 mana it's too expensive = doesn't work = nobody will be playing it.

I think the problem here is that they do not want this card to work cause when it works it's busted. So they're just making it unplayable again.

why is everyone still crying about control warrior? it gets annihilated by every not-trash-tier deck in this meta. mage, shaman, pally, hunter all beat warrior easily.

Damn... It gets beaten so easily? Prolly the reason why it is the 2nd best deck in the meta.

Control decks - a lot of silence/morph. If you cant silence for instance both eggs at once. GG you lose.

posted a message on Paladin = The god of meta

Those solitaire auto-play decks are such bullshit I have no idea how can one feel comfortable with himself playing such a brainless crap that cheats wins with cheap BS tricks. Are you really that sad that VICTORY is all that matters or that stupid that basically, every other deck is too hard?

I have 2 mana - I play this as there is basically no other play. I did not draw my 8 mana spells with lenses = I lose. My opponent plays deck with a lot of board clears = I lose.

Do people really don't feel like playing slot machine with such decks?
