You probably don't want to sacrifice more of your early game. Doomhammer is probably the best card to replace. Most mid shaman decks run one or the other, but rarely both. They play mostly the same role, but Al'Akir has the benefit of being immune to weapon destruction.

 This. If you install BluStacks onto your PC you don't need a second device, and you can still use your Play credits on your phone. I bought 27 packs last night for $29. That's about $1.07 per pack, which is quite nice. Incidentally, I drew Tirion and Happy Rag from those packs.

If you think zoo is brainless, you should watch me try to play it. It definitely takes some kind of skill that I don't possess.

I can win fairly often with other decks like Renolock, Hunter, or Priest, but I cannot, for the life of me, get a winrate over 50% with zoo.

Conceal before attacking

Contest the board with minions as best you can. Hope you draw your clears, Reno, and Vek'lor before they can kill you. Turn 2 or 3 Doomsayer can be huge.

I've DEed Nozdormu 3 times, and I'll do it again if that jerk shows his face in yet another one of my packs.

The game is slower than it's ever been, on average.

But the problem is: the meta achieved this slower average by making its slowest decks even slower, without really slowing down its fastest decks that much (notable exception: Call of the Wild in Hunter).

Everyone who thinks "slower decks are more skillful" is wrong. The skill intensity of the matchup increases as the difference in deck speed decreases (exception: the Coin). Yes, when you're playing Control and you play against Aggro it's pure Luckstone, and when you play against Control it's a skill game... but generally your Aggro opponent feels the same way about Control and gets skill matches when he plays against other Aggro decks.

But I digress. The point was that increasing the difference in speed between archetypes devalues skill and emphasizes luck. Making the meta slower in the way they made it slower didn't kill Control's winrate, but it did make that winrate more luck-dependent than it's ever been. There was a lot more skill back when 10-mana finishers weren't Control staples.

Control is more viable in wild (yet CW is kinda weak to secret palas), but you can play all kind of priest, control pally, freeze mage with decent results. Even yogg druid with pretty much standard list is being played. Wild is much less face and more midrange/control-focused. As for standard, don't be that stubborn if you see your deck is not working. Try control mage, anyfin paladin or even reno mage and have fun.

Or play wild, have much more diversity there.

Too many 1-ofs, this deck needs some refinement imo...
